This paper proposes a new heuristic search approach based on an analytic theory of the Petri net state equations for scheduling flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) with the goal of minimizing makespan. The proposed method models an FMS using a timed Petri net and exploits approximate solutions of the net's state equation to predict the total cost (makespan) from the initial state through the current state to the goal. That is, the heuristic function considers global information provided by the state equation. This makes the method possible to obtain solutions better than those obtained using prior works (Lee and DiCesare, 1994a, 1994b) that consider only the current status or limited global information. In addition, to reduce memory requirement and thus to increase the efficiency of handling larger systems, the proposed scheduling algorithm contains a procedure to reduce the searched state space. 相似文献

Thermal instability has been considered by pioneer researchers to be one of the most promising lines for a fundamental investigation into the failure mechanisms of rolling–sliding contacts. This article uses a recently developed mixed lubrication model that integrates interrelated topographical, mechanical, thermal, and tribochemical aspects to study the thermal instability of high-performance rolling–sliding contacts. The effects of various system parameters on the relation between the system bulk temperature and the heat generation in the contact are analyzed. The parameters include surface roughness; contact component size; surface and lubricant mechanical, thermal, and tribochemical properties; and operating conditions. Key results and their implications to system design and operation considerations are summarized in the Conclusion section of the article in relation to enhancing the thermal stability of the contact, particularly under adverse lubrication conditions. 相似文献

Three patients with pathologically verified spinal osteomyelitis and another three with metastatic tumors of the spine were investigated. MRI of th spine of four patients showed several unusual findings. The preservation of intervertebral discs and endplates did not predict accurately the diagnosis of either infections or tumors. The "pepper and salt" appearing feature may also occur in a metastatic tumor. Plain radiographs, CT, and radioisotope bone scans were less sensitive than MRI to disclose the lesions. In cases of osteomyelitis, the systemic sources of infections were frequently not found, and the responsible microorganisms could not be identified even from the surgical specimens of two patients. However, mycobacterium tuberculosis was found in the surgical specimen of a patient with cervical spinal lesion whose MRI was indistinguishable from a metastatic tumor. Surgicopathological diagnosis was therefore crucial and mandatory in these instances. 相似文献

In this study the efficiency of polycrystalline silicon solar cells was increased carving micro channel structures using a laser. In research to date, micro channel structures on the surface of polycrystalline silicon solar cells have been manufactured and studied. In an experiment polycrystalline silicon solar cell with micro channel structures on the surface demonstrated an increase in efficiency of 0.23-1.50%, as the radius of the micro channel structures varied from 15 μm to 35 μm. Micro channels also improved the Fill Factor of polycrystalline silicon solar cells. However, the efficiency started to decrease when the radius of the micro channel structures was greater than 40 μm. Detailed features of the variation in current voltage of polycrystalline silicon solar cells with micro channels are discussed. 相似文献

In this paper, a high efficient decoding algorithm is developed here in order to correct both erasures and errors for Reed-Solomon (RS) codes based on the Euclidean algorithm together with the Berlekamp-Massey (BM) algorithm. The new decoding algorithm computes the errata locator polynomial and the errata evaluator polynomial simultaneously without performing polynomial divisions, and there is no need for the computation of the discrepancies and the field element inversions. Also, the separate computation of the Forney syndrome needed in the decoder is completely avoided. As a consequence, the complexity of this new decoding algorithm is dramatically reduced. Finally, the new algorithm has been verified through a software simulation using C/sup ++/ language. An illustrative example of (255,239) RS code using this program shows that the speed of the decoding process is approximately three times faster than that of the inverse-free Berlekamp-Massey algorithm. 相似文献

The adenovirus type 2-coded single-stranded DNA binding protein (DBP) was shown to be a phosphoprotein and to exist in at least two forms that differ in mobility by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. After a 30-min pulse with [35S]methionine or 32PO4, 35S- or 32P-labeled DBP had a nominal molecular weight of 74,000 whereas after a 30-min label followed by a 20-h chase, 35S- and 32P-labeled DBP had a nominal molecular weight of 77,000. Both large and small forms of 35S- and 32P-labeled DBP bound to single-stranded DNA-cellulose columns and were eluted by 0.4 to 0.6 M NaCl; both forms also were immunoprecipitated by antiserum against adenovirus type 1-simian virus 40-induced tumor cells (this antiserum contains antibodies against DBP) and by monospecific antiserum against 95 to 99% purified DBP. With highly purified 32P-DBP labeled 7 to 10 h postinfection, it was shown that the 32P radioactivity was firmly associated with protein material (i.e., not contaminating nucleic acids or phospholipids) and had properties expected of a phosphoester of an amino acid; paper electrophoresis of acid hydrolysates of this preparation identified phosphoserine but not phosphothreonine. Phosphoserine but not phosphothreonine was also identified in acid hydrolysates of another preparation of 32P-DBP labeled for 30 min, chased for 20 h, and then immunoprecipitated by adenovirus type 1-simian virus 40 antiserum. 相似文献
