This paper presents a multi-view acquisition system using multi-modal sensors, composed of time-of-flight (ToF) range sensors and color cameras. Our system captures the multiple pairs of color images and depth maps at multiple viewing directions. In order to ensure the acceptable accuracy of measurements, we compensate errors in sensor measurement and calibrate multi-modal devices. Upon manifold experiments and extensive analysis, we identify the major sources of systematic error in sensor measurement and construct an error model for compensation. As a result, we provide a practical solution for the real-time error compensation of depth measurement. Moreover, we implement the calibration scheme for multi-modal devices, unifying the spatial coordinate for multi-modal sensors. The main contribution of this work is to present the thorough analysis of systematic error in sensor measurement and therefore provide a reliable methodology for robust error compensation. The proposed system offers a real-time multi-modal sensor calibration method and thereby is applicable for the 3D reconstruction of dynamic scenes.  相似文献

By using a multivariable nonlinear model predictive controller (NLMPC), the control experiments for the monomer conversion and the weight-average molecular weight are conducted in a continuous styrene polymerization reactor. Instead of a complex first-principles model, a polynomial auto-regressive moving average model (ARMA) is used to describe the nonlinear behavior of the polymerization reactor. The pseudorandom multilevel input signals mounted on the jacket inlet temperature and the feed flow rate are applied to the polymerization reaction system to identify a polynomial ARMA model. In the experiments of identification and control, the monomer conversion and the weight-average molecular weight are measured by on-line densitometer and viscometer with appropriate correlations. The on-line measurements are found to be in good agreement with the off-line analysis by the gravimetry and the gel permeation chromatography. Since a polynomial ARMA model is expected to give a higher order objective function of input variables, we employ the extended Kalman filter based NLMPC scheme to reduce the computational requirement in the control experiments. The NLMPC based on the polynomial ARMA model is found to perform satisfactorily for the control of the polymer properties during a grade-transition period as well as under the steady-state operation.  相似文献

We reported 94-GHz, low conversion loss, and high isolation single balanced active gate mixer based on 70-nm gate length InGaAs/InAlAs metamorphic high-electron mobility transistors (MHEMTs). This mixer showed that the conversion loss and isolation characteristics were 2.5/spl sim/3.5 dB and under -29 dB in the range of 92.95/spl sim/94.5 GHz, respectively. The low conversion loss of the mixer is mainly attributed to the high-performance of the MHEMTs exhibiting a maximum drain current density of 607 mA/mm, an extrinsic transconductance of 1015 mS/mm, a current gain cutoff frequency (f/sub t/) of 330 GHz, and a maximum oscillation frequency (f/sub max/) of 425 GHz. High isolation characteristics are due to hybrid ring coupler which adopted dielectric-supported air-gapped microstrip line structure using surface micromachined technology. To our knowledge, these results are the best performance demonstrated from 94 GHz single balanced mixer utilizing GaAs-based HEMTs in terms of conversion loss as well as isolation characteristics.  相似文献

In this paper, an improved DRP method to schedule multi-echelon distribution network is proposed such that order-quantities and order points are dynamically obtained to meet the demand in just in time concept and minimize the out-of-stock probability. The order scheduling method reflects the dynamic characteristics of inventory level changes in the regional distribution centers and the central distribution center. The experiment has been done with various demand distributions, forecast error distributions and lead times. The proposed method was compared with the traditional DRP-based scheduling methods which use different lot-sizing and order point decision techniques. From the result, it is found that the proposed heuristic method yields preferable lot-sizing schedules.  相似文献

This paper concerns resource allocation in distributed message passing systems, i.e., the scheduling of accesses to exclusive system resources shared among concurrent processes. An efficient modular resource allocation algorithm is presented that uses any arbitrary resource allocation algorithm as a subroutine. It improves the performance of the subroutine by letting each process wait only for its currently conflicting processes, and therefore, allows more concurrency. For appropriate choices of the subroutine, we obtain resource allocation algorithms with the minimum worst case response times. Simulation studies were conducted which also indicate that on average, the obtained algorithms perform faster and require a smaller number of messages than other previously known algorithms, especially when resource contention among processes is high and the average time that a process remains in the critical region is large. The effect of O2 plasma pretreatment on the SiO2/Si interface property was studied using direct plasma varying the plasma power, He or Ar/O2 ratio and the pretreatment time. The decrease of the pretreatment plasma power decreased the plasma damage and improved the interface property. The addition of He in O2 glow discharge improved the electrical and the interface properties and there was an optimum He/O2 ratio. The improvement of the interface property by Ar/O2-plasma pretreatment was better than that by He/O2, which is believed to be due to the lower oxidation rate of the Si surface. C–V analysis showed that the Pb center defect density was influenced by plasma pretreatment process parameters. To investigate the oxidation states near to and at the SiO2/Si interface, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy depth analysis was used and the gas phase in the glow discharge was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy analysis at various experimental conditions.  相似文献

Size‐controlled soft‐template synthesis of carbon nanodots (CNDs) as novel photoactive materials is reported. The size of the CNDs can be controlled by regulating the amount of an emulsifier. As the size increases, the CNDs exhibit blue‐shifted photoluminescence (PL) or so‐called an inverse PL shift. Using time‐correlated single photon counting, ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy, and low‐temperature PL measurements, it is revealed that the CNDs are composed of sp2 clusters with certain energy gaps and their oleylamine ligands act as auxochromes to reduce the energy gaps. This insight can provide a plausible explanation on the origin of the inverse PL shift which has been debatable over a past decade. To explore the potential of the CNDs as photoactive materials, several prototypes of CND‐based optoelectronic devices, including multicolored light‐emitting diodes and air‐stable organic solar cells, are demonstrated. This study could shed light on future applications of the CNDs and further expedite the development of other related fields.  相似文献

Disturbances and changes in the welding working environment lead to possible variations in the output variables associated with weld quality. In order to enhance weld quality, it is essential to optimize the welding process by taking the variance as well as the average value of the output variables into consideration. In this study, the dual response approach is adopted to determine the welding process parameters, which produce the target value with minimal variance. The dual response approach optimizes the penetration in gas metal arc (GMA) welding through the procedures as follows. First, the regression models of the mean value and standard deviation of the penetration are induced through regression analysis. Subsequently, an optimization algorithm based on the regression models and constraints is applied to determine the welding process parameters, which generate the desired penetration with minimized variance. In particular, the genetic algorithm, a global optimization algorithm, is adopted in this study to determine the optimal solution.  相似文献

Despite the wider introduction of the buy online and pick up in-store (BOPS) service by retailers, research on BOPS is still sparse, especially those from the consumer perspective. This paper employs the scenario-based factorial survey method to investigate how the perceived characteristics of innovation and the perceived risk of online shopping influence the consumers’ intention to use BOPS while also considering the moderating effects of situational factors (location convenience) and product type (involvement). Our findings indicated that the consumer perceptions of relative advantage, complexity, compatibility, and risks involved in online shopping are important antecedents to intention to use BOPS, and that these relationships were significantly moderated by locational convenience and product involvement. The implications of the findings and suggestions for future research are discussed in detail.  相似文献
