Samples were prepared by addition of a fluorinated poly(aryl ether ketone) (12F-PEK) to a commercial epoxy resin and curing
at either 24 °C or 70 °C. The concentrations of fluoropolymer in the samples were 0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50%. Phase inversion
facilitates the formation of more and more smooth surfaces for scratch testing with increasing fluoropolymer concentration.
A progressively increasing load from 0.03 N to 12 N was administered with a diamond tip to the surfaces of the samples; depths
were determined within ±7.5 nm. The original scratch depth is a function of the fluoropolymer concentration. Scratch recovery
(healing) reaches values up to 95%. Plots of the residual depth versus concentration of the fluoropolymer at 4, 6, 8, and
10 N reveal minima for all forces and both temperatures. Addition of only 5% or 10% 12F-PEK improves the scratch recovery
significantly. The results are explained by changes of material morphology with the fluoropolymer concentration.

TIC is a timed algebraic calculus which combines ideas from asynchronous and synchronous calculi. Time is introduced by assigning explicit time restrictions to the events of an asynchronous calculus. The semantics is defined in an operational way. Interleaving of behaviours is defined in such a way that a proper merge of events in time is achieved. Weak timed bisimulation is also defined. Carbon films have been produced using a graphite hollow cathode and an r.f. plasma of hydrogen or hydrogen and argon. No hydrocarbon gas was used. The films were subjected to heat treatments up to 700 °C in air. The optical properties of the films were studied using Fourier transform IR, UV-visible, Raman, ellipsometry and photoluminescence techniques before and after the annealing. Films prepared without argon have a narrower band gap and a different photoluminescence response from films prepared with argon. The index of refraction was seen to have values between 1.7 and 2.2 depending on the preparation conditions. The optical band gap of the films was generally greater than 2 eV and the annealing process both increased the gap and reduced the density of states responsible for the large photoluminescence signal. 相似文献

Arsenic sulfide glass optical fibers typically possess extrinsic absorption bands in the infrared wavelength region associated with residual hydrogen and oxygen related impurities, despite using purified precursors. We report a purification process based on the addition of tellurium tetrachloride (TeCl4 ) to the glass. During melting, the chlorine from TeCl4 reacts with the hydrogen impurities to produce volatile products (e.g., HCl) that can be removed by subsequent dynamic distillation. The processing conditions have been modified accordingly to produce optical fibers with significantly reduced loss due to hydrogen sulfide impurity content (1.5 dB/m). 相似文献
