Abstract— A scalable manufacturing process for fabricating active‐matrix backplanes on low‐cost flexible substrates, a key enabler for electronic‐paper displays, is presented. This process is based on solution processing, ink‐jet printing, and laser patterning. A multilayer architecture is employed to enable high aperture ratio and array performance. These backplanes were combined with E Ink electrophoretic media to create high‐performance displays that have high contrast, are bistable, and can be flexed repeatedly to a radius of curvature of 5 mm.  相似文献

Product family design and platform-based product development has received much attention over the last decade. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art research in this field. A decision framework is introduced to reveal a holistic view of product family design and platform-based product development, encompassing both front-end and back-end issues. The review is organized according to various topics in relation to product families, including fundamental issues and definitions, product portfolio and product family positioning, platform-based product family design, manufacturing and production, as well as supply chain management. In mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), flooding is a required message dissemination technique for network-wide broadcast. The conventional blind flooding algorithm causes broadcast storm problem, a high number of unnecessary packet rebroadcasts thus resulting in high contention and packet collisions. This paper proposes a new probabilistic approach that dynamically fine-tunes the rebroadcasting probability of a node for routing request packets (RREQs) according to the number of neighbour nodes. We evaluate the performance of the proposed approach for the ad hoc on demand distance vector (AODV) routing protocol and compared against the blind flooding, fixed probabilistic and adjusted probabilistic flooding [L.M.M.M. The paper presents a comparative performance of the models developed to predict 28 days compressive strengths using neural network techniques for data taken from literature (ANN-I) and data developed experimentally for SCC containing bottom ash as partial replacement of fine aggregates (ANN-II). The data used in the models are arranged in the format of six and eight input parameters that cover the contents of cement, sand, coarse aggregate, fly ash as partial replacement of cement, bottom ash as partial replacement of sand, water and water/powder ratio, superplasticizer dosage and an output parameter that is 28-days compressive strength and compressive strengths at 7 days, 28 days, 90 days and 365 days, respectively for ANN-I and ANN-II. The importance of different input parameters is also given for predicting the strengths at various ages using neural network. The model developed from literature data could be easily extended to the experimental data, with bottom ash as partial replacement of sand with some modifications.  相似文献

The steady flow of a non-Newtonian fluid when slippage between the plate and the fluid occurs is considered. The constitutive equations of the fluid are modeled for a fourth-grade non-Newtonian fluid with partial slip; they give rise to nonlinear boundary value problems. Analytical solutions are obtained using powerful analytic techniques for solving nonlinear problems, homotopy perturbation and optimal homotopy asymptotic methods. The results obtained are compared with the numerical results and it is shown that solutions exist for all values of the non-Newtonian parameters. The solutions valid for the no-slip condition for all values of the non-Newtonian parameters can be derived as special cases of the present analysis. Finally the solutions are discussed using a graphical approach.  相似文献

The present work has been carried out with the aim to synthesize tin oxide decorated reduce graphene oxide nanocomposite (SnO2/RGO-Nc) via in-situ synthesis process and the influence of RGO loading on structural, optical, thermal and dielectric properties of SnO2 has been discussed. The XRD, FESEM coupled with EDX elemental mapping, TEM, FTIR, Raman and XPS results reveal that the SnO2 nanoparticles have been successfully incorporated onto the RGO sheets. The reduction in the energy gap of the composite sample as compared to SnO2 measured from the Tauc’s relation can be attributed to strong coupling between RGO and SnO2 NPs. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) shows improved thermal stability of the SnO2/RGO-Nc. From the dielectric measurements, it is observed that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss decreases as frequency of applied field increases. AC conductivity of all samples increases as applied frequency increases which follows Jonscher’s power law. All composite samples show better conductivity as compared to SnO2. This is due to the formation of continuous conductive pathway between SnO2 and RGO sheets. Further high dielectric constant, low loss and high ac conductivity have been observed at optimum loading of RGO in SnO2/RGO2-Nc as compared to other composite samples which is due the percolation effects. The impedance analysis exhibits only one semicircle for SnO2 and SnO2/RGO composite which suggests that the involvement of grain boundaries dominated over the grain contribution.  相似文献

为探究不同竹龄及不同取材部位竹原纤维性能的变异规律,以不同竹龄、不同部位的慈竹为原料,采用物理化学结合的方法提取竹原纤维,并分别测定竹原纤维的化学组成、纤维的表面形貌、纤维的密度、吸湿性能、拉伸强度。结果表明:相同部位竹原纤维,随竹龄的增加,纤维的密度先增大后减小,纤维的回潮率先减小后增大;相同竹龄竹原纤维,随着距地高度的增加,纤维密度增加,回潮率先稍有降低后升高。3年生慈竹梢部纤维密度最大,为1.70 /cm3,4年生的基部纤维密度最小,为1.51 g/cm3。3年生慈竹中部纤维回潮率最低,为12.94%,其不同部位竹原纤维拉伸强度较为稳定,4年生中部竹原纤维拉伸强度最大,为787.42MPa。  相似文献

In this study, we manufactured 3 types of caprine milk Cheddar cheese: a control cheese (unfortified) and 2 iron-fortified cheeses, one of which used regular ferrous sulfate (RFS) and the other used large microencapsulated ferrous sulfate (LMFS). We then compared the iron recovery rates and the microstructural, textural, and sensory properties of the 3 cheeses under different storage conditions (temperature and duration). Compositional analysis included fat, protein, ash, and moisture contents. The RFS (FeSO4·7H2O) and LMFS (with 700- to 800-μm large particle ferrous sulfate encapsulated in nonhydrogenated vegetable fat) were added to cheese curds after whey draining and were thoroughly mixed before hooping and pressing the cheese. Three batches of each type of goat cheese were stored at 2 temperatures (4°C and ?18°C) for 0, 2, and 4 mo. We analyzed the microstructure of cheese using scanning electron microscopy and image analysis software. A sensory panel (n = 8) evaluated flavors and overall acceptability of cheeses using a 10-point intensity score. Results showed that the control, RFS, and LMFS cheeses contained 0.0162, 0.822, and 0.932 mg of Fe/g of cheese, respectively, with substantially higher iron levels in both fortified cheeses. The iron recovery rates of RFS and LMFS were 71.9 and 73.5%, respectively. Protein, fat, and ash contents (%) of RFS and LMFS cheeses were higher than those of the control. Scanning electron microscopy analyses revealed that LMFS cheese contained smaller and more elongated sharp-edged iron particles, whereas RFS cheese had larger-perimeter rectangular iron crystals. Iron-fortified cheeses generally had higher hardness and gumminess scores than the control cheese. The higher hardness in iron-fortified cheeses compared with the control may be attributed to proteolysis of the protein matrix and its binding with iron crystals during storage. Control cheese had higher sensory scores than the 2 iron-fortified cheeses, and LMFS cheese had the lowest scores for all tested sensory properties.  相似文献

Candlenut oil was extracted using supercritical CO(2) (SC-CO(2)) with an optimization of parameters, by the response surface methodology. The ground candlenut samples were treated in 2 different ways, that is, dried in either a heat oven (sample moisture content of 2.91%) or dried in a vacuum oven (sample moisture content of 1.98%), before extraction. An untreated sample (moisture content of 4.87%) was used as a control. The maximum percentage of oil was extracted from the heat-oven-dried sample (77.27%), followed by the vacuum-oven-dried sample (74.32%), and the untreated sample (70.12%). At an SC-CO(2) pressure of 48.26 Mpa and 60 min of extraction time, the optimal temperatures for extraction were found to be 76.4 °C, 73.9 °C, and 70.6 °C for the untreated, heat-oven-dried, and vacuum-oven-dried samples, respectively. The heat-oven-dried sample contains the highest percentage of linoleic acid, followed by the untreated and vacuum-oven-dried samples. The antiradical activity of candlenut oil corresponded to an IC(50) value of 30.37 mg/mL.  相似文献
