In the present work, effect of selective peroxide on reactor grade polypropylene (PP) (known as V30S) during melt spinning process on the physical and thermal properties of as‐spun resultant multifilament yarn was studied. Attempts have also been made to compare this yarn sample with other fiber samples produced from reactor and controlled rheology grades polypropylene. The results show that the multifilament yarn spun from V30S/Peroxide sample shows higher birefringence and tensile strength and also lower modulus, elongation at break, and shrinkage compared with that of spun from pure V30S granule. An automated manufacturing system (AMS) is a complex network of processing, inspecting, and buffering nodes connected by system of transportation mechanisms. For an AMS, it is desirable to be capable to increase or decrease the output with the rise and fall of demand. Such specifications show the complexity of decision making in the field of AMSs and the need for concise and accurate modeling methods. Therefore, in this paper, a flexible jobshop automated manufacturing system is proposed to optimize the material flow. The flexibility is on the multi-shops of the same type and also multiple products that can be produced. An automated guided vehicle is applied for material handling. The objective is to optimize the material flow regarding the demand fluctuations and machine specifications. An illustrative example is presented to test the validity of the proposed mathematical model.  相似文献

 Increasing density is one of the important factors for producing high quality powder metallurgy (PM) parts, which has beneficial effect on mechanical properties. One of the common techniques for achieving this goal is double compacting, which seems to be a potentially attractive method in PM route, also for Cr-Mo alloyed-steels. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of first compacting pressure and intermediate annealing temperature on attaining higher densities and minimum interconnected porosity for Cr-Mo pre-alloyed steel. The effect of mentioned parameters was studied by measuring density, transverse rupture strength and macrohardness of repressed samples. The results show that for each first compacting pressure, the density range of repressed samples increases with the increasing annealing temperature up to a certain limit, due to C dissolution which causes free porosity and further densification. Annealing temperatures higher than optimum one should be avoided, since too much carbon dissolution results in harder and less deformable compacts. On the other hand, with regard to repressed density and other resulted properties, the amount of first compacting pressure offers considerable advantage in obtaining higher level of density and consequently improved mechanical properties.  相似文献

We examined the microbiological quality of sprouting seeds sold through the Internet. Overall, five types of seeds each from six organic and six conventional sources were evaluated. The growth and toxin production of naturally occurring Bacillus spp. in sprouts produced using home-scale sprouting devices also were investigated. For alfalfa, broccoli, lentil, mungbean, and radish seeds, the average microbial counts were 3.3, 4.0, 2.8, 3.5, and 3.6 log CFU/g, presumptive B. cereus counts were 0.7, 1.0, 0.8, 1.0, and 0.9 log CFU/g, and total coliform counts were -0.3, -0.4, -0.5, 0.0, and -0.4 log of the most probable number per gram, respectively. No Salmonella, Escherichia coli O157, other fecal coliforms, or Staphylococcus aureus was found on seeds. Compared with conventional seeds, the organic seeds had lower or equivalent counts for total microorganisms, presumptive B. cereus, and total coliforms. When seeds were sprouting using a glass jar, the growth of presumptive B. cereus was significant for radish and broccoli but not for alfalfa, lentil, and mungbean sprouts; the counts exceeded 5.0 log CFU/g in radish sprouts. When sprouts were grown using an automatic sprouting device, presumptive B. cereus showed slight growth (< 3.0 log cycles) in radish, broccoli, and mungbean sprouts but no growth in alfalfa and lentil sprouts. Although the presumptive B. cereus isolates were enterotoxigenic, they did not produce or accumulate detectable levels of diarrheal toxins in freshly produced sprouts.  相似文献

ABSTRACT In‐shell or shelled almonds inoculated with Salmonella were sprayed with water, acetic acid, citric acid, acidified sodium chlorite, peroxyacetic acid, or a mixture of citric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids before testing for Salmonella on xylose‐lysine‐deoxycholate (XLD) agar and tryptic soy agar (TSA). Spraying acids on in‐shell almonds reduced about 0.48 to 1.88 and 0.22 to 0.67 log colony‐forming units (CFU)/g of Salmonella on XLD agar and TSA counts, respectively, on the in‐shell almonds but had no effect on the edible portion of the almonds (shelled almonds). When spraying acids on shelled almonds, a single spray application (1.6 mL acid solution/25 g of shelled almonds) with 1 min holding caused 0.72 to 1.93 and 0.38 to 1.35 log CFU/ g reductions of Salmonella counts on XLD agar and TSA, respectively. Increasing the holding time to 5 min did not enhance the reductions. When spraying shelled almonds, increasing the number of application (1 to 3 times) enhanced Salmonella reduction. Except for the peroxyacetic acids, increasing total holding time (5 to 120 min) improved the efficacies. Furthermore, increasing acid concentrations improved the efficacies of acetic, citric, and peroxyacetic acid treatments. Estimated 5‐log reductions on both TSA and XLD counts can be achieved under laboratory conditions using 10% citric acid by (1) the combination of shelling, 1 spraying, and 3 d of storage, (2) the combination of shelling, 2 sprayings, and 1 d of storage, or (3) the combination of shelling and 3 sprayings. Acidic sprays may be utilized for enhancing the microbiological safety of raw nuts.  相似文献

In this paper, a two-dimensional, two-phase, non-isothermal model is presented to predict the electrochemical, mass transfer and heat transfer behaviors in a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). Governing equations including the momentum, continuity, heat transfer, proton and electron transport, species transport for water, methanol, and all the gas species (carbon dioxide, methanol vapor, water vapor, oxygen, and nitrogen) and the auxiliary equations are coupled to studying the various phenomena in DMFC. The modeling results agree well with the four different experimental data in an extensive range of operation conditions. A parametric study is also performed to examine the effects of the cell voltage on the different variables, such as cell temperature, liquid methanol concentration distribution, oxygen concentration distribution, and anode gas pressure distribution. The results show that the cell temperature is highly sensitive to the change in the cell voltage as well as methanol concentration distribution. Moreover, it is found that the cell voltage significantly influences the oxygen concentration distribution and the anode gas pressure distribution.  相似文献

Pomegranates were treated after harvest with methyl jasmonate (MeJa) or methyl salicylate (MeSa) at two concentrations (0.01 and 0.1 mM), and then stored under chilling temperature for 84 days. Control fruits exhibited chilling injury (CI) symptoms manifested by pitting and browning, the severity being enhanced as storage time advanced, and accompanied by softening and electrolyte leakage (EL). The CI symptoms were significantly reduced by MeJa or MeSa treatments, without significant differences among treatments or applied dose. In addition, both treatments significantly increased total phenolics and anthocyanins with respect to controls. Hydrophilic (H-TAA) and lipophilic (L-TAA) total antioxidant activity decreased in control arils, but in both MeJa and MeSa treated fruits H-TAA increased while no significant changes occurred for L-TAA. Results would suggest that both MeJa and MeSa have potential postharvest applications in reducing CI, maintaining quality and improving the health benefits of pomegranate fruit consumption by increasing the antioxidant capacity.  相似文献

Lightweight material capture methods require a material prior, defining the subspace of plausible textures within the large space of unconstrained texel grids. Previous work has either used deep neural networks (trained on large synthetic material datasets) or procedural node graphs (constructed by expert artists) as such priors. In this paper, we propose a semi-procedural differentiable material prior that represents materials as a set of (typically procedural) grayscale noises and patterns that are processed by a sequence of lightweight learnable convolutional filter operations. We demonstrate that the restricted structure of this architecture acts as an inductive bias on the space of material appearances, allowing us to optimize the weights of the convolutions per-material, with no need for pre-training on a large dataset. Combined with a differentiable rendering step and a perceptual loss, we enable single-image tileable material capture comparable with state of the art. Our approach does not target the pixel-perfect recovery of the material, but rather uses noises and patterns as input to match the target appearance. To achieve this, it does not require complex procedural graphs, and has a much lower complexity, computational cost and storage cost. We also enable control over the results, through changing the provided patterns and using guide maps to push the material properties towards a user-driven objective.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a learning-based test-time optimization approach for reconstructing geometrically consistent depth maps from a monocular video. Specifically, we optimize an existing single image depth estimation network on the test example at hand. We do so by introducing pseudo reference depth maps which are computed based on the observation that the optical flow displacement for an image pair should be consistent with the displacement obtained by depth-reprojection. Additionally, we discard inaccurate pseudo reference depth maps using a simple median strategy and propose a way to compute a confidence map for the reference depth. We use our pseudo reference depth and the confidence map to formulate a loss function for performing the test-time optimization in an efficient and effective manner. We compare our approach against the state-of-the-art methods on various scenes both visually and numerically. Our approach is on average 2.5× faster than the state of the art and produces depth maps with higher quality.  相似文献
