Thermal resistance of fabrics is an important property influencing an ability of fabrics to protect the human body against cold. In this paper the model of the thermal resistance of woven fabrics is elaborated. Next, an experimental verification was carried out on the basis of the results for 26 cotton woven fabrics of plain weave as well as for 18 cotton fabrics of weaves different to plain. The experiment confirmed that there is a statistically significant and strong correlation between the real values of the fabric thermal resistance measured by means of Alambeta and the predicted value calculated by means of the elaborated model. 相似文献

This study reports results of respirometric measurements of activated sludge biodegrading the substrate in wastewater originating from the following brewery plant production departments: malt house, brewhouse, fermentation house and racking house. The process was conducted at two temperatures: 10 and 20°C with activated sludge adapted to brewery wastewaters. The loading of activated sludge reached 0.25 g chemical oxygen demand per gram dry matter per day, which assured complete degradation of organic matter. The physicochemical characteristics of the wastewaters are provided. The study demonstrates a correlation between the site of wastewater generation, the specific character of a unitary technological process and the quality of the wastewater discharged to the sewage system, including biodegradability. Despite significant differences in the quality of the wastewaters, they were characterized by high biodegradability at a temperature of 10 and 20°C and by the C:N:P ratio being beneficial for biological treatment, irrespective of their source of origin. Our goal is to obtain a new food supplement — a chemopreventive preparation derived from selenium (Se)-enriched Lentinula edodes mycelium. In the present study the bioavailability of selenium from Se-enriched mycelium preparations was tested in vitro and in vivo. Three different preparations of selenated mycelium were compared: dried mycelium, lyophilized mycelium, and lyophilized-autolyzed mycelium. In vitro, estimated Se bioavailabilities were 60%, 82%, and 98%, respectively. In vivo bioavailability was determined in rats. As reference, sodium selenite and Se yeast formulations were used at an Se-equivalent dose. The pharmacokinetic data for tested mycelial preparations suggest a rapid but incomplete Se absorption, and rapid elimination, without risk of accumulation. The speciation of selenium in Se-enriched mycelial cultures was carried out by specific oxido-reduction reactions. For tested mycelium the main part of Se was in the 0 and IV oxidation states in inorganic form or combined in a lipid or carbohydrate structure, about 47% was in the –II state in Se-amino acids or in other undefined water- or alcohol soluble organic compounds. Differences in pharmacokinetic data for Se yeast and L. edodes mycelial formulations probably arise from differences in Se speciation. The aim of the present study was to evaluate three microbial inhibition tests (MIT) based on inhibition of growth of the test organisms: (a) four plate test (FPT) containing Bacillus subtilis BGA, (b) screening test for antibiotic residues (STAR) containing Bacillus stearothermophilus var. calidolactis_ATCC 10149 and (c) the Premi®Test containing Bacillus stearothermophilus var. calidolactis. The tests were used to determine sulphamethazine (SMZ) residues in edible tissues of rabbit after oral administration up to day 15 of the withdrawal period (WP). A solvent extraction procedure was used to enhance the capability of the tests to detect SMZ residues at or below the maximum residue limit (MRL). Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) was employed to previously identify SMZ residues in the first stage of the residue screening. The presence of SMZ residues in the samples was confirmed and quantified by a validated HPLC method. The Premi®Test detected SMZ residues in the muscle and heart tissue up to day 9 of the WP, and in the liver, lungs and kidneys up to day 10 of the WP. The STAR detected SMZ residues in the edible organs of rabbits up to day 8 of the WP. The kidneys were positive up to day 5 of the WP, the liver until day 4 of the WP and the lungs until day 3 of the WP. No SMZ residues were detected in the muscle and heart. By using the solvent extraction procedure, SMZ residues were detected in the muscle extract up to day 10 of the WP and the muscle was positive until day 6 of the WP. No detection sensitivity was observed using the FPT. After solvent extraction, SMZ residues were detected in the muscle extract until day 8 of the WP and the muscle was positive until day 3 of the WP. No positive results were detected after the addition of PABA into/onto the agar medium. PABA at a concentration of 10 µg ml?1 completely reversed the inhibitory activity of SMZ and enabled reliable identification of SMZ in the examined samples. Using HPLC, SMZ was detected in the muscle samples until day 10 of WP (0.02 mg kg?1) and in the liver until day 12 of the WP (0.09 mg kg?1). The results obtained by the HPLC method and the limit of detection (LOD) of screening tests for SMZ (FPT 0.4 µg ml?1, STAR 0.2 µg ml?1, Premi® Test 0.05 µg ml?1) allowed us to state that the most suitable screening tests for the detection of SMZ residues in the edible tissues of rabbits at level corresponding to the MRL of 0.1 mg kg?1, established for sulphonamides, are the Premi®Test and STAR in conjunction with the solvent-extraction procedure. 相似文献

The protection of a human body against the negative environmental factors, especially the cold, is one of the crucial functions of clothing. Clothing creates a thermal barrier between the human body and the surroundings. The protective efficiency of clothing goods depends mostly on thermal insulation properties of textile materials applied in clothing. The clothing design, fitting to a user’s body, and a number of layers also play an important role in the phenomenon of the heat exchange between the human organism and its surroundings. The thermal insulation properties of textile materials can be measured by means of different testing devices, such as the “skin model,” the Alambeta, the Permetest, and the Thermo Labo. A measurement of clothing goods from the point of view of their thermal insulation is performed using a thermal manikin. The article presents an investigation of thermal insulation properties of vests by means of thermal manikin. The investigated vests have been made of different textile materials: woven and knitted. The thermal insulation properties of fabrics applied in vests have been measured by means of the Alambeta. The article presents and discusses the relationships between the thermal insulation of vests according to the thermal manikin and the thermal resistance of fabrics applied in the vests. 相似文献

The effect of potassium lactate and sodium diacetate on the microbiological changes and sensory properties of vacuum-packaged minced beef was investigated. The meat samples both with a preservative (in the amounts 0.65% and 1.3%) and without were stored at temperatures of 0–1°C and 5–6°C. The influence of storage time on changes in total bacteria count (TBC), lactic acid bacteria (LAB), Brochothrix thermosphacta, and the microbes of the Enterobacteriaceae family was investigated, as well as changes in pH and sensory quality. It was found that the addition of the preservative to the minced meat caused a significant extension (p < 0.05) of the lag phase and an inhibition of microbial growth rate, depending on temperature, storage time, and its concentration. The antibacterial effect was significantly higher (p < 0.05) at a temperature of 0–1°C than at 5–6°C and most susceptible to it were the bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae. The study results showed that the minced beef containing the preservative which had been vacuum stored at 0–1°C, presented a better sensory quality and had a shelf-life of about 6 days longer, in relation to the quality and shelf-life of the control samples. For each of the refrigeration storage temperatures however, there was no statistically significant change (p < 0.05) in the pH for the various storage periods and preservative quantities present. 相似文献

The rheological and instrumental textural properties of the butters, margarines and spreads were determined in this study. Three factors affected on the rheology and the instrumental texture of the examined yellow fat products: temperature of the measurement, origin and the content of the fat. The results obtained at 5 and 20°?C showed significant differences (p ≤ 0.05) in spreadability and hardness. The highest hardness and the lowest spreadability values were recorded for the butters and mixed fat products with high fat content. Generally, milk fat content caused a significant increase of hardness and decrease of spreadability. The best spreadability was measured for the spreads with the lowest fat content. Adhesiveness and cohesiveness analysis revealed that the most adhesive and less cohesive were the products with high fat content, less adhesive and the most cohesive were spreads with the lowest content of lipids. All of the samples exhibited thixotropic and shear-thinning behavior. High correlation was found between spreadability and hardness. Apparent viscosity did not correlate with spreadability and hardness. 相似文献

The work aimed at determination of electric properties of wheat grain in dependence on its variety, moisture, geometrical features of kernels and applied current frequency. Wheat grain of 4 Polish winter varieties: Korweta, Juma, Mikon and Kobra from harvest 2001 were used as the material for study. Grain was sized into 3 fractions: (1) > 2,8mm, (2) 2,5–2,8mm, and (3) 2,2–2,5mm. Basic geometrical features were determined for not sorted grain (control sample) and its three fractions by the use of digital image analysis. Electric properties of grain (at 11% and 15% moisture content) have been performed with the Hewlett Packard 4263B meter. Measurements of impedance, resistance, admittance, conductance, as well as equivalent parallel capacitance and equivalent series capacitance were made. Obtained results were subjected to statistical analysis with the use of Statistica? programme. Changes in electric properties of grain significantly depended on all of studied factors. Most of all significant correlations appeared between geometrical features and studied electric properties of grain of 15% moisture. Statistical analysis of the results proved significant linear correlations between electric properties of kernels and their length, perimeter and circularity coefficient RC2 at higher measurement frequencies. 相似文献

The work presents the essence of the secondary fermentation occurring in the course of grape wines production—malolactic fermentation (MLF). The selection of wine yeast and bacteria preparations, scenario of malolactic bacteria inoculation as well as control system of the process conditions are proposed to create the specific character and style of grape wines produced in cool-climate countries, in which the acidity of grape must is often significantly enhanced and the concentration of aroma compounds is considerably low. The role played by appropriately run MLF is presented, along with the advantages and disadvantages of the process, benefits, and technological drawbacks resulting from the introduction of this procedure to the vinification process. Moreover, methods to initiate and run MLF as well as interactions occurring between microorganisms used in wine production, i.e., wine yeasts from the genus Saccharomyces and wine bacteria from the genus Oenococcus, are also presented and discussed. 相似文献

Midazolam (MDZ) could affect lymphocyte immune functions. However, the influence of MDZ on cell’s K+ currents has never been investigated. Thus, in the present study, the effects of MDZ on Jurkat T lymphocytes were studied using the patch-clamp technique. Results showed that MDZ suppressed the amplitude of delayed-rectifier K+ current (IK(DR)) in concentration-, time-, and state-dependent manners. The IC50 for MDZ-mediated reduction of IK(DR) density was 5.87 μM. Increasing MDZ concentration raised the rate of current-density inactivation and its inhibitory action on IK(DR) density was estimated with a dissociation constant of 5.14 μM. In addition, the inactivation curve of IK(DR) associated with MDZ was shifted to a hyperpolarized potential with no change on the slope factor. MDZ-induced inhibition of IK(DR) was not reversed by flumazenil. In addition, the activity of intermediate-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ (IKCa) channels was suppressed by MDZ. Furthermore, inhibition by MDZ on both IK(DR) and IKCa-channel activity appeared to be independent from GABAA receptors and affected immune-regulating cytokine expression in LPS/PMA-treated human T lymphocytes. In conclusion, MDZ suppressed current density of IK(DR) in concentration-, time-, and state-dependent manners in Jurkat T-lymphocytes and affected immune-regulating cytokine expression in LPS/PMA-treated human T lymphocytes. 相似文献
