High-performance carbon counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Here, we reported that a new carbon electrode prepared with an activated carbon was superior to a Pt sputtered electrode as the counter electrode of dye-sensitized solar cells. The photovoltaic performance was largely influenced by the roughness factor of carbon electrode. The open-circuit voltage increased by about 60 mV using the carbon counter electrode compared to the Pt counter electrode because of positive shift of the formal potential for I3/I couple.  相似文献

In order to study water-gas transport processes in the gas-diffusion-layer (GDL) of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell system, a multiphase, multiple-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann model is presented in this work. The model is based on the mean-field diffuse interface theory and can handle the multiphase flows with large density ratios and various viscosities. By using the standard bounce back boundary condition and an approximate average scheme for the non-slip and wetting boundary walls, respectively, detailed liquid-gas transportation in the GDL, in which exact boundary condition is difficult to be implemented, can be simulated. Unlike most of lattice Boltzmann methods based on the Bhatnagar–Gross–Krook collision operator, the present model shows a viscosity-independent velocity field, which is very important in simulating multiphase flows where various viscosities coexist. We validate our model by simulating a static droplet on a wetting wall and compare with theoretical predictions. Then, we simulate a water-gas flow in the GDL of a PEM fuel cell and investigate the saturation-dependent transport properties under different conditions. The results are shown to be qualitatively consistent with the previous numerical and theoretical works.  相似文献

It is one of the key issues for a high-temperature structural design guideline to evaluate the influence of variations in creep curve on the creep behavior of a high-temperature structure. In the present paper, a comparative evaluation was made to clarify such influence.The evaluation results showed that, in almost all cases of a creep behavior pattern in which creep strain accumulated during a stress cycle caused significant relaxation of the corresponding deformation-controlled stress in the following cycles, the variations in creep behavior with the creep curve were qualitatively similar to those in fundamental creep properties. On the other hand, in many cases of another creep behavior pattern in which creep strain accumulated during a cycle doesn't cause the significant stress-relaxation in the following cycles, the variations in creep behavior for earlier cycles are different from those in fundamental creep properties. Even in these cases, however, those get qualitatively similar after several cycles when their stress-time histories are stabilized.Additional consideration was given to the influence of the relationship between creep rupture life and minimum creep rate, i.e., the Monkman-Grant's relationship, on the creep damage evaluation.The consideration suggested that the Monkman-Grant's relationship be taken into account in evaluating the creep damage behavior, especially the creep damage variations. However, it was clarified that the application of the creep damage evaluation rule of ASME B.&P.V. Code Case N-47 to the “standard case”which was predicted from the average creep property would predict the creep damage on the safe side.  相似文献

Authors have evaluated the life cycle of a thin-film CdS/CdTe PV module to estimate the energy payback time (EPT) and the life-cycle CO2 emissions of a residential rooftop PV system using the CdS/CdTe PV modules. The primary energy requirement for producing 1 m2 of the CdS/CdTe PV module was similar to a-Si PV module at annual production scale of 100 MW. EPT was calculated at 1.7–1.1 yr, which was much shorter than the lifetime of the PV system and similar to that of a-Si PV modules. The life-cycle CO2 emissions were also estimated at 14–9 g-C/kWh, which was less than that of electricity generated by utility companies.  相似文献

The containment structures of the HTTR consist of the reactor containment vessel, the service area, and the emergency air purification system, which minimise the release of fission products in postulated accidents, which lead to fission product release from the reactor facilities. The reactor containment vessel is designed to withstand the temperature and pressure transients and to be leak-tight in the case of a rupture of the primary concentric hot-gas duct, etc. The pressure inside the service area is maintained at a negative pressure by the emergency air purification system. The emergency air purification system will also remove airborne radioactivity and will maintain a correct pressure in the service area.The leak-tightness characteristics of the containment structures are described in this paper. The measured leakage rates of the reactor containment vessel were enough less than the specified leakage limit of 0.1%/d confirmed during the commissioning tests and annual inspections. The service area was kept in a way that the design pressure becomes well below its allowable limitation by the emergency air purification system, which filters efficiency of particle removal and iodine removal well over the limited values.The obtained data demonstrate that the reactor containment structures were fabricated to minimise the release of fission products in the postulated accidents with fission product release from the reactor facilities.  相似文献

Safety design     
JAERI established the safety design philosophy of the HTTR based on that of current reactors such as LWR in Japan, considering inherent safety features of the HTTR. The strategy of defense in depth was implemented so that the safety engineering functions such as control of reactivity, removal of residual heat and confinement of fission products shall be well performed to ensure safety. However, unlike the LWR, the inherent design features of the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) enables the HTTR meet stringent regulatory criteria without much dependence on active safety systems. On the other hand, the safety in an accident typical to the HTGR such as the depressurization accident initiated by a primary pipe rupture shall be ensured. The safety design philosophy of the HTTR considers these unique features appropriately and is expected to be the basis for future Japanese HTGRs.This paper describes the safety design philosophy and safety evaluation procedure of the HTTR especially focusing on unique considerations to the HTTR. Also, experiences obtained from an HTTR safety review and R&D needs for establishing the safety philosophy for the future HTGRs are reported.  相似文献

The effect of ratcheting on fatigue strength was investigated in order to rationalize the strain limit as a design criterion of commercialized fast reactor systems. Ratcheting fatigue tests were conducted at 550 °C. Duration of the ratchet straining was set for a certain number of strain cycles taking the loading condition of fast reactors into account, and the number of cycles for strain accumulation was defined as the ratchet-expired cycle. Fatigue lives decrease as the accumulated strain by ratcheting increases. Mean stress increased during the ratcheting cycle and its maximum value depended on the accumulated strain and the ratchet-expired cycle. Fatigue life reduction was negligible when the maximum mean stress was less than 25 MPa, corresponding to an accumulated strain of 2.2%. Accumulated strain is limited to 2% in the present design guidelines and this strain limit is considered effective to avoid reducing fatigue life by ratcheting. Microcrack growth behaviors were also investigated in these tests in order to discuss the life reduction mechanisms in ratcheting conditions.  相似文献

For realization of economical and reliable fast reactor (FR) plants, the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and the Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC) are cooperating on the “Feasibility Study on Commercialized FR Cycle Systems”. To certify the design concepts through evaluation of the structural integrity of FR plants, the research and development of the “Elevated Temperature Structural Design Guide for Commercialized Fast Reactor (FDS)” is recognized as an essential theme. The FDS focuses on particular failure modes of FRs such as ratchet deformation and creep-fatigue damage due to cyclic thermal loads. For precise evaluation of these modes, the research and development for three main issues is in progress. First, the “Refinement of Failure Criteria” needs to be addressed for particular failure modes of FRs. Secondly, the development of “Guidelines for Inelastic Design Analysis” is conducted to predict elastic plastic and creep deformation under elevated temperature conditions. Lastly, efforts are being made toward preparing “Guidelines for Thermal Load Modeling” for the design of FR components where thermal loads are dominant.  相似文献

Investigation on fluidmechanic performance on a butterfly valve has been carried out. A practical valve model of a given thickness and a hub is used for the loss coefficient theory. A theoretical loss coefficient has been formulated from a contraction factor obtained by applying the generalized Borda mouthpiece theory.

Cavitation stages (such as cavitation inception, supercavitation inception, cavitation damage inception, choking cavitation) have been theoretically predicted from the valve loss coefficient. The cavitation prediction has been carried out by applying the free streamline theory, where the relation between the loss coefficient and the critical cavitation factor has been formulated. The results of the theoretical prediction equations agree well with the experimental results.  相似文献
