Autonomous topological modeling of a home environment and topological localization using a sonar grid map 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper presents a method of autonomous topological modeling and localization in a home environment using only low-cost
sonar sensors. The topological model is extracted from a grid map using cell decomposition and normalized graph cut. The autonomous
topological modeling involves the incremental extraction of a subregion without predefining the number of subregions. A method
of topological localization based on this topological model is proposed wherein a current local grid map is compared with
the original grid map. The localization is accomplished by obtaining a node probability from a relative motion model and rotational
invariant grid-map matching. The proposed method extracts a well-structured topological model of the environment, and the
localization provides reliable node probability even when presented with sparse and uncertain sonar data. Experimental results
demonstrate the performance of the proposed topological modeling and localization in a real home environment. 相似文献

In the literature, more and more clues show that the bidders indeed tend to risk averse. But as a good structure estimation
procedure in first-price sealed-bid auctions, the traditional PPMLE (Piecewise Pseudo-Maximum Likelihood Estimation) approach
is only applicable to the risk neutrality case. This study generalizes this approach to the risk aversion case, and obtains
a simple estimation procedure for the Pareto family of private costs. In the procedure, the estimation order of distribution
parameters of private costs is not important, which is different from the traditional PPMLE method. Though there is no unique
estimator for θ
1 and γ, some guidance is given for real-world applications on the basis of our Monte Carlo simulation experiments. What’s more,
this procedure can be reduced further, if one is only interested in estimating the private costs. Extensive simulation experimental
results indicate that our approach outperforms or matches at least the traditional one in the case of risk neutrality, and

This paper is devoted to investigating inventory control problems under nonstationary and uncertain demand. A belief-rule-based inventory control (BRB-IC) method is developed, which can be applied in situations where demand and demand-forecast-error (DFE) do not follow certain stochastic distribution and forecasting demand is given in single-point or interval styles. The method can assist decision-making through a belief-rule structure that can be constructed, initialized and adjusted using both manager’s knowledge and operational data. An extended optimal base stock (EOBS) policy is proved for initializing the belief-rule-base (BRB), and a BRB-IC inference approach with interval inputs is proposed. A numerical example and a case study are examined to demonstrate potential applications of the BRB-IC method. These studies show that the belief-rule-based expert system is flexible and valid for inventory control. The case study also shows that the BRB-IC method can compensate DFE by training BRB using historical demand data for generating reliable ordering policy. 相似文献

Feature selection is viewed as an important preprocessing step for pattern recognition, machine learning and data mining. Traditional hill-climbing search approaches to feature selection have difficulties to find optimal reducts. And the current stochastic search strategies, such as GA, ACO and PSO, provide a more robust solution but at the expense of increased computational effort. It is necessary to investigate fast and effective search algorithms. Rough set theory provides a mathematical tool to discover data dependencies and reduce the number of features contained in a dataset by purely structural methods. In this paper, we define a structure called power set tree (PS-tree), which is an order tree representing the power set, and each possible reduct is mapped to a node of the tree. Then, we present a rough set approach to feature selection based on PS-tree. Two kinds of pruning rules for PS-tree are given. And two novel feature selection algorithms based on PS-tree are also given. Experiment results demonstrate that our algorithms are effective and efficient. 相似文献

This paper presents a construction for a class of 1-resilient functions with optimal algebraic immunity on an even number
of variables. The construction is based on the concatenation of two balanced functions in associative classes. For some n, a part of 1-resilient functions with maximum algebraic immunity constructed in the paper can achieve almost optimal nonlinearity.
Apart from their high nonlinearity, the functions reach Siegenthaler's upper bound of algebraic degree. Also a class of 1-resilient

The geometric element transformation method (GETMe) is a geometry-based smoothing method for mixed and non-mixed meshes. It
is based on a simple geometric transformation applicable to elements bounded by polygons with an arbitrary number of nodes.
The transformation, if applied iteratively, leads to a regularization of the polygons. Global mesh smoothing is accomplished
by averaging the new node positions obtained by local element transformations. Thereby, the choice of transformation parameters
as well as averaging weights can be based on the element quality which leads to high quality results. In this paper, a concept
of an enhanced transformation approach is presented and a proof for the regularizing effect of the transformation based on
eigenpolygons is given. Numerical examples confirm that the GETMe approach leads to superior mesh quality if compared to other
geometry-based methods. In terms of quality it can even compete with optimization-based techniques, despite being conceptually

This research relies on a distribution problem encountered at Northern Grocery Company in Beijing as an example to develop a two-stage solution procedure and subsequent computer-enabled programs for identifying efficient vehicle routing alternatives.
