Emission and atmospheric transport of particulate PAHs in Northeast Asia   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The emission, concentration levels, and transboundary transport of particulate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Northeast Asia were investigated using particulate PAH measurements, the newly developed emission inventory (Regional Emission inventory in ASia for Persistent Organic Pollutants version, REAS-POP), and the chemical transport model (Regional Air Quality Model ver2 for POPs version, RAQM2-POP). The simulated concentrations of the nine particulate PAHs agreed well with the measured concentrations, and the results firmly established the efficacy of REAS/RAQM2-POP. It was found that the PAH concentrations in Beijing (China, source region), which were emitted predominantly from domestic coal, domestic biofuel, and other transformations of coal (including coke production), were approximately 2 orders of magnitude greater than those monitored at Noto (Japan, leeward region). In Noto, the PAH concentrations showed seasonal variations; the PAH concentrations were high from winter to spring due to contributions from domestic coal, domestic biofuel, and other transformations of coal, and low in summer. In summer, these contribution were decrease, instead, other sources, such as the on-road mobile source, were relatively increased compared with those in winter. These seasonal variations were due to seasonal variations in emissions from China, as well as transboundary transport across the Asian continent associated with meteorological conditions.  相似文献

We compared the chemical compositions of the osmeterial secretions of fourth and fifth (last) instars of eight swallowtail species of the tribe Papilionini. Four species (Papilio demoleus, P. polytes, P. paris, and P. macilentus) are Asian Rutaceae-feeding swallowtails. The other four (Chilasa epicydes, C. agestor, P. troilus, and P. glaucus) represent more distant clades within the Papilionini and species with larval hosts in other plant families. We conducted a quantitative analysis for six species, but only qualitative analysis for P. glaucus and C. agestor. In all eight species, regardless of larval host plant, secretions of the fourth instar principally consisted of mono- and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, whereas those of the fifth instar comprised aliphatic acids and their esters. Consistent with earlier findings, our results suggest that this “heterogeneous” pattern of osmeterial chemistry, not seen in other tribes, may characterize the Papilionini as a whole. Unlike those of most Papilio species, the fourth and fifth instars of Chilasa species resemble each other in body coloration. Thus, the heterogeneous osmeterial pattern is not necessarily associated with color change in papilionid larvae. The major terpenoids identified in fourth instar larval secretions from the six species were α-pinene, sabinene, β-myrcene, limonene, β-phellandrene, (Z)-β-ocimene, (E)-β-ocimene, p-mentha-1,4(8)-diene, β-elemene, β-caryophyllene, (E)-β-farnesene, (3Z,6E)-α-farnesene, (Z)-α-bisabolene, germacrene-A, (E)-α-bisabolene, and germacrene-B. The profiles for individual species differed both qualitatively and quantitatively from one another, and certain species also secreted methyl 3-hydroxy-n-butyrate and oxygenated sesquiterpenes in relatively large proportions. Secretions from fifth instars were composed of varying proportions of isobutyric, 2-methylbutyric, and acetic acids, and methyl and ethyl (minor) esters of both isobutyric and 2-methylbutyric acids. The heterogeneity of osmeterial chemistry in the tribe Papilionini may represent fine-tuning of chemical defense in response to shifting predation pressures as the larvae age and grow.  相似文献

Complexation of iron(ll) by catechol and thiol ligands leads to the formation of aqueous species that are capable of reducing substituted nitroaromatic compounds (NACs) to the corresponding anilines. No reactions of NACs are observed in FelI-only or ligand-only solutions. In solutions containing FeII and tiron, a model catechol, rates of NAC reduction are heavily dependent on pH, ligand concentration, and ionic strength. Observed pseudo-first-order rate constants (k(obs)) for 4-chloronitrobenzene reduction vary by more than 6 orders of magnitude, and the variability is well described by the expression k(obs) = k(FeL2)(6-) [FeL2(6-)], where [FeL2(6-)] is the concentration of the 1:2 FeII-tiron complex and kFeL2(6-) is the bimolecular rate constant for 4-chloronitrobenzene reaction with this species. The high reactivity of this FeII species is attributed to the low standard one-electron reduction potential of the corresponding FeIII/FeII redox couple (EH0 = -0.509 V vs NHE). The relative reactivity of different NACs can be described by a linear free-energy relationship (LFER) with the one-electron reduction potentials of the NACs, EH1'(ArNO2). The experimentally derived slope of the LFER indicates that electron transfer is rate determining. These findings suggest that FeII-organic complexes may play an important, previously unrecognized, role in the reductive transformation of persistent organic contaminants.  相似文献

Owing to progress in perinatal medicine, the survival of preterm newborns has markedly increased. However, the incidence of cerebral palsy has risen in association with increased preterm birth. Cerebral palsy is largely caused by cerebral hypoxic ischemia (HI), for which there are no effective medical treatments. We evaluated the effects of stromal cell-derived factor-1α (SDF-1α) on neonatal brain damage in rats. Left common carotid (LCC) arteries of seven-day-old Wistar rat pups were ligated, and animals were exposed to hypoxic gas to cause cerebral HI. Behavioral tests revealed that the memory and spatial perception abilities were disturbed in HI animals, and that SDF-1α treatment improved these cognitive functions. Motor coordination was also impaired after HI but was unimproved by SDF-1α treatment. SDF-1α reduced intracranial inflammation and induced cerebral remyelination, as indicated by the immunohistochemistry results. These data suggest that SDF-1α specifically influences spatial perception abilities in neonatal HI encephalopathy.  相似文献

Glass beads of 43 μm were coated in a vibro-fluidized bed by atomizing a fine silica powder together with polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution. The coating efficiency and weight fraction of the agglomerated particles were measured under various experimental conditions, and their dependencies on the frequency and the direction of vibration were investigated. The coating efficiency and the degree of the agglomeration among core particles correlated well with an index R. The index R was introduced to evaluate quantitatively the drying conditions in a fluidized bed.

Application of vertical vibration on the fluidized bed lowered the coating efficiency somewhat, while it prevented agglomeration. From the experimental results it was confirmed that coating with high quality and high efficiency, where few agglomerates were produced and silica powder was utilized efficiently, was possible in a vibro-fluidized bed with adequate vibration frequency and orientation of the vibration vector.  相似文献

In this study, our aim is to clarify the color combination rules of the human-preferred Papilionidae butterflies as aesthetic objects. A set of 118 butterfly images, including color polyphenism from the 47 Papilionidae species that are generally preferred by humans, was selected. These images were classified using hierarchical cluster analysis based on similarities of lightness, chroma, and hue attributes in CIELAB space, determined using histogram intersection. Then, the color distributions and combinations in each cluster were analyzed using a Gaussian mixture model and the color combination types defined in the present study. Accordingly, we obtained the following main color combination rules of human-preferred Papilionidae: (a) dominant low lightness and contrasting lightness components, (b) dominant low chroma and similar chroma components, and (c) dominant orange to yellow-green hue and similar hue components. These rules partly agree with the robust harmony principles found in previous research. We infer that the cognitive effects concerning the processing fluency through these color combination rules influence human aesthetic responses.  相似文献

To evaluate the lattice misorientation at domain boundaries (DBs) in β-Ga2O3, we performed X-ray diffraction imaging (XRDI), X-ray reticulography (XRR), and X-ray topography (XRT) using a synchrotron radiation light source. Four reciprocal lattice vectors ( g -vectors) were applied, and the DBs showed different visibilities in the XRDI maps depending on the g -vector. By analyzing possible characteristics of the misorientation, the XRDI results suggested that the DB being investigated was associated with a misorientation on the ( 10 ¯ 05 $\overline {10} 05$ ) plane and contained twist and tilt components. The apparent peak change in XRDI caused by the two components was calculated. We further succeeded in separating the tilt and twist components using XRR images in conjunction with simulation. Dislocation arrays at the DBs were observed using XRT, and the average distance between the dislocations in the array was consistent with the misorientation obtained using XRDI and XRR. The distribution of DBs across a wide area was acquired by a combination of XRR images recorded on a charge-coupled device camera and X-ray films. The fringe-patterned XRR on X-ray films provided a powerful and nondestructive tool to characterize DBs distributed across a large-diameter wafer with an angular resolution on the order of several arc sec (low 10−5 rad).  相似文献

A combustion model of glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) is presented. Linear burning rate and temperature profile measurements of model samples led us to the conclusion that linear burning rate is controlled by N2 liberation process below the pressure exponent break point (2.3 MPa). Further, scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of quenched samples by rapid depressurization of the combustor show that the N2 liberation process is strongly limited to the melt layer at the combustion surface and the profile of the heat release rate is probably δ-function like. This fact enables the application of an asymptotic analysis to this phenomenon.  相似文献
