In this paper, we study the pseudo-spherical evolutes of curves in three dimensional hyperbolic space. We use techniques from singularity theory to investigate the singularities of pseudo-spherical evolutes and establish some relationships between singularities of these curves and geometric invariants of curves under the action of the Lorentz group. Besides, we defray with illustration some computational examples in support our main results.  相似文献

Durable and highly hydrophilic polyester fabric was produced by cross-linking Sericin on air-atmospheric plasma treated polyester fabric. Surface change properties were characterized by wettability measurements (water contact angle-WCA and % capillarity), Atomic Force Microscopy and zeta potential measurements. Chemical analyses using TBO dye were carried out to estimate surface functional groups after plasma treatment and Sericin cross-linking. Positive zeta potential values at low pH values, as well as AFM images confirm grafting of Sericin. With Sericin cross-linked onto both cleaned PET and plasma-treated PET, WCA reached that of PET subjected to plasma treatment alone, that is WCA between 40° and 46° compared to 81° for the hydrophobic untreated polyester fabric. However, plasma-treated polyester is readily subjected to aging, while cross-linked Sericin on plasma-treated PET yields a more durable hydrophilic finish with a high capillarity, 85% compared to 39% for Sericin on the untreated PET, and 3% for the untreated PET fabric. Plasma treatment creates chain-scissions at the polymer surface leading to the appearance of polar groups which promote the cross-linking of greater amount of Sericin.  相似文献

This comment is related to the recently published article entitled “On ‘Discussion on Barkhausen and Nyquist stability criteria’, Analog Integrated circuits and signal processing, Vol. 70, pp. 443–449, 2012. In this article the authors considered one of the possible four alternatives of the Wien-bridge oscillator that was previously considered in the article entitled “Discussion on Barkhausen and Nyquist stability criteria”, Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, Vol. 62, pp. 327–332, 2010, which depicts the failure of Barkhausen criterion concerning the determination of the condition of oscillation startup of sinusoidal oscillation. In the above mentioned articles the operational amplifier used is assumed ideal. In this comment it will be shown that the Wien-bridge oscillator circuit used in the above mentioned articles can behave as a sinusoidal oscillator only at relatively high frequencies when the operational amplifier can be considered non-ideal. At relatively low frequencies; when the operational amplifier can be considered ideal, the same circuit behaves as a relaxation oscillator with a square wave output rather than a sinusoidal output.  相似文献

The growth of SiOx nanowires and nanocakes on an Au-coated n-type-Silicon (100) substrate was achieved via carbothermal evaporation. The effects of the Au layer thickness and the rapid heating rate on the morphology of obtained SiOx nanowires were investigated. A broad emission band from 290 to 600 nm was observed in the photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of these nanowires. There are four PL peaks: one blue emission peak 485 nm (2.56 eV) two green bands centered at 502 nm (2.47 eV) and 524 nm (2.37 eV) for nanocakes and one ultraviolet emission peak at 350 nm (3.54 eV) and a hemisphere curve over the bluish green area taken for SiOx nanowires. These emissions may be related to the various oxygen defects and twofold coordinated silicon lone pair centers.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide thin films were deposited by Metallorganic Chemical Vapor Deposition at substrate temperatures ranging from 250 °C to 450 °C over soda lime glass and indium tin oxide coated glass substrates. X-ray diffraction studies show that films have a crystalline anatase structure at all the deposition temperatures. Particle size decreases and texture changes with the increase in substrate temperature. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirms the appearance of a new well resolved state in the core level of Ti 2p spectrum shifted by 1.16 eV to lower binding energy due to the reduction of Ti+ 4 to Ti+ 3 upon litheation. Chronoamperometery, cyclic voltammetery and in situ UV-Vis spectrophotometeric studies were carried out on the prepared samples. Particle size and crystallinity control the electrochromic performance. The 350 °C film shows the highest ion storage capacity and the highest optical modulation along with an appreciable band gap broadening.  相似文献

Inter-plant hydrogen integration (IPHI) is getting more attention in recent years, as a result of the increasing demand for hydrogen in refinery processes, such as hydrotreating and hydrocracking. In this work, IPHI with regeneration scheme is analyzed. Indirect integration scheme is adopted, where hydrogen sources from different hydrogen networks are integrated via a centralized purifier, such as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) or membrane separation. The introduced model is able to select the optimum interception unit, which minimizes the total annualized cost. Besides, multi-period consideration is included in the analysis to address the effect of changes in operating conditions of the IPHI network on total hydrogen consumption. Two case studies are presented to demonstrate the applicability and usefulness of the proposed model.  相似文献

This paper presents several stable adaptive algorithms for the control of hybrid and discrete systems in which the control parameters are adjusted at rates slower than those at which the systems operate. Continuous algorithms of an integral type, recently suggested in the literature [5] are also shown to belong to this class. From a practical standpoint, the infrequent adjustment of the control parameters makes for more robust adaptive control while from a theoretical point of view, the algorithms are attractive since they provide a unified framework for the design of continuous, hybrid, and discrete adaptive systems. Simulation results are included to indicate the type of responses that can be expected using the different algorithms.  相似文献

The corrosion behavior of steel in water from certain oil fields with various organic inhibitors was studied by applying potentiodynamic technique at pH 5.9. The inhibitors which were used include 2‐methylbenzimidazole (I), 2‐mercaptobenzimidazole (II), 2‐mercapto‐5‐methylbenzimidazole (III), and 2‐mercaptothiazole (IV). The inhibiting efficiency of the different additives was evaluated from their anodic and cathodic polarization curves at different temperatures. A comparative study of curve fitting procedures using the kinetic thermodynamic model and those utilizing well‐known adsorption isotherms was undertaken. Three types of isotherms were used, Langmuir, Frumkin and Flory‐Huggins isotherm. The results show that the kinetic‐thermodynamic model and Flory‐Huggins isotherms are more suitable to fit the data for the four inhibitors, at all applied temperatures. From the values of binding constants, K, the order of inhibitor efficiency is: III > IV > II > I and thus 2‐mercapto‐5‐methylbenzimidazole was the most effective inhibitor. The thermodynamic parameters obtained for all the compounds used showed low values of Hads, which indicates that the action of these inhibitors is physically adsorptive in nature.  相似文献

Poly(1-amino-9,10-anthraquinone), PAAQ, films were prepared by electrochemical oxidation of the monomer, AAQ, in acetonitrile using LiClO4 as supporting electrolyte. The influence of scan repetition, scan rate and monomer concentration on the formation of polymer film was studied. The electrochemical behavior of the formed polymer films was investigated in both non-aqueous and aqueous media. The prepared films were found to be more stable in organic solvents than in aqueous solutions. The investigated organic solvents are methanol, ethanol, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, and chloroform. The polymer film shows electrochemical response in both non-aqueous and aqueous media. In non-aqueous solutions it has a wide potential range of electroactivity (from −1.5 to +1.3 V). In aqueous media the polymer film shows electrochemical response in the potential range between −0.3 and +1.3 V only. The presence of quinone units suggests potential applications in diverse areas such as electrocatalytic processes and lithium ion batteries.  相似文献
