This work proposes a highly efficient sensorless motor driver chip for various permanent‐magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) in a wide power range. The motor driver chip is composed of two important parts. The digital part is a sensorless controller consisting mainly of an angle estimation block and a speed control block. The analog part consists of a gate driver,which is able to sense the phase current of a motor. The sensorless algorithms adapted in this paper include a sliding mode observer (SMO) method that has high robust characteristics regarding parameter variations of PMSMs. Fabricated SMO chips detect back electromotive force signals. Furthermore, motor current–sensing blocks are included with a 10‐bit successive approximation analog‐to‐digital converter and various gain current amplifiers for proper sensorless operations. Through a fabricated SMO chip, we were able to demonstrate rated powers of 32 W, 200 W, and 1,500 W. 相似文献

Issues in the circuitry, integration, and material properties of the two‐dimensional (2D) and three‐dimensional (3D) crossbar array (CBA)‐type resistance switching memories are described. Two important quantitative guidelines for the memory integration are provided with respect to the required numbers of signal wires and sneak current paths. The advantage of 3D CBAs over 2D CBAs (i.e., the decrease in effect memory cell size) can be exploited only under certain limited conditions due to the increased area and layout complexity of the periphery circuits. The sneak current problem can be mitigated by the adoption of different voltage application schemes and various selection devices. These have critical correlations, however, and depend on the involved types of resistance switching memory. The problem is quantitatively dealt with using the generalized equation for the overall resistance of the parasitic current paths. Atomic layer deposition is discussed in detail as the most feasible fabrication process of 3D CBAs because it can provide the device with the necessary conformality and atomic‐level accuracy in thickness control. Other subsidiary issues related to the line resistance, maximum available current, and fabrication technologies are also reviewed. This paper studies the magnetic coupling between two adjacent loop antennas that are parallel to each other in a plane and presents a new practical method to avoid the resulting magnetic coupling interference. The study focuses on the high frequency radio‐frequency identification (RFID) system for casino applications, where several loop antennas are closely built into a game table to monitor gaming chips. In this case, neighboring loop antennas may severely interfere with each other by magnetic coupling, which leads to the malfunction of the RFID system. In this paper, we present a practical loop antenna with a new loop switch circuit for avoiding magnetic coupling. The loop switch circuit is integrated with a matching circuit and automatically operated by using an interrogating signal from a reader. We verified the validity of the proposed design by showing that an RFID reader with the proposed antenna can exactly and separately read the gaming chips placed on the different betting zones of a game table. 相似文献

A balanced RF duplexer with low interference in an extremely narrow bandgap is proposed. The Long‐Term Evolution band‐7 duplexer should be designed to prevent the co‐existence problem with the WiFi band, whose fractional bandgap corresponds to only 0.7%. By implementing a hybrid bulk acoustic wave (BAW) structure, the temperature coefficient of frequency (TCF) value of the duplexer is successfully reduced and the suppressed interference for the narrow bandgap is performed. To achieve an RF duplexer with balanced Rx output topology, we also propose a novel balanced BAW Rx topology and RF circuit block. The novel balanced Rx filter is designed with both lattice‐ and ladder‐type configurations to ensure excellent attenuation. The RF circuit block, which is located between the antenna and the Rx filter, is developed to simultaneously function as a balance‐to‐unbalance transformer and a phase shift network. The size of the fabricated duplexer is as small as 2.0 mm × 1.6 mm. The maximum insertion loss of the duplexer is as low as 2.4 dB in the Tx band, and the minimum attenuation in the WiFi band is as high as 36.8 dB. Distribution of interface states at the emitter–base heterojunctions in heterostructure bipolar transistors (HBTs) is characterized by using current–voltage characteristics using sub-bandgap photonic excitation. Sub-bandgap photonic source with a photon energy Eph which is less than the energy bandgap Eg (Eg,GaAs = 1.42, Eg,AlGaAs = 1.76 eV) of emitter, base, and collector of HBTs, is employed for exclusive excitation of carriers only from the interface states in the photo-responsive energy range at emitter–base heterointerface. The proposed method is applied to an Al0.3Ga0.7As/GaAs HBT (AE = WE × LE = 250 × 100 μm2) with Eph = 0.943 eV and Popt = 3 mW. Extracted interface trap density Dit was observed to be Dit,max 4.2 × 1012 eV−1 cm−2 at emitter–base heterointerface. 相似文献

Ceramic–polymer composites are of interest for designing enhanced and unique properties. However, the processing temperature windows of sintering ceramics are much higher than that of compaction, extrusion, or sintering of polymers, and thus traditionally there has been an inability to cosinter ceramic–polymer composites in a single step with high amounts of ceramics. The cold sintering process is a low‐temperature sintering technology recently developed for ceramics and ceramic‐based composites. A wide variety of ceramic materials have now been demonstrated to be densified under the cold sintering process and therefore can be all cosintered with polymers from room temperature to 300 °C. Here, the status, understanding, and application of cold cosintering, with different examples of ceramics and polymers, are discussed. One has to note that these types of cold sintering processes are yet new, and a full understanding will only emerge after more ceramic–polymer examples emerge and different research groups build upon these early observations. The general processing, property designs, and an outlook on cold sintering composites are outlined. Ultimately, the cold sintering process could open up a new multimaterial design space and impact the field of ceramic–polymer composites. 相似文献

Software‐defined networking (SDN) has been widely researched and used to manage large‐scale networks such as data center networks (DCNs). An early stage of SDN controller experienced low responsiveness, low scalability, and low reliability. To solve these problems, distributed SDN controllers have been proposed. The concept of distributed SDN controllers distributes control messages among multiple SDN controllers. However, distributed SDN controllers must assign a master controller for each networking devices. Most previous studies, however, did not consider the characteristics of DCNs. Thus, they are not suitable to operate in DCNs. In this paper, we propose HeS‐CoP, a heuristic switch‐controller placement scheme for distributed SDN controllers in DCNs. With the control traffic load and CPU load, HeS‐CoP decides when our scheme should be performed in DCNs. To show the feasibility of HeS‐CoP, we designed and implemented an orchestrator that contains our proposed scheme and then evaluated our proposed scheme. As a result, our proposed scheme well distributes the control traffic load, decreases the average CPU load, and reduces the packet delay. 相似文献

Air pollution induces neurodegeneration, including cognitive deficits, neuroinflammation, and disruption of the blood–brain barrier. The mechanisms underlying air pollution-mediated neurodegeneration have not yet been fully elucidated given the limited knowledge on intercellular interactions. A brain-on-a-chip platform is presented comprising neurons, glia, and brain endothelial cells (bECs; neuro-glia-vascular, NGV) and diesel exhaust particle (DEP)-induced neurodegeneration is evaluated with a particular focus on the intercellular interactions. DEP exposure in the NGV model yields Alzheimer's disease-like signatures, including amyloid beta accumulation, tau phosphorylation, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)/reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and neuronal cell death. bEC-secreted granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) stimulates microglial activation and the overproduction of H2O2/ROS in microglia, suggesting that the bEC-microglia-neuron is a neurodegeneration cascade. Pharmacological inhibition at each step of the cascade, including GM-CSF neutralization, microglial activation suppression, and ROS scavenging, prohibits neurodegeneration in the NGV model. Therefore, intercellular interactions should be further studied of air pollution-induced neurodegeneration. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a time domain combined field integral equation formulation (TD‐CFIE) to analyze the transient electromagnetic response from dielectric objects. The solution method is based on the method of moments which involves separate spatial and temporal testing procedures. A set of the RWG functions is used for spatial expansion of the equivalent electric and magnetic current densities, and a combination of RWG and its orthogonal component is used for spatial testing. The time domain unknowns are approximated by a set of orthonormal basis functions derived from the Laguerre polynomials. These basis functions are also used for temporal testing. Use of this temporal expansion function characterizing the time variable makes it possible to handle the time derivative terms in the integral equation and decouples the space‐time continuum in an analytic fashion. Numerical results computed by the proposed formulation are compared with the solutions of the frequency domain combined field integral equation. 相似文献

This paper proposes three different dynamic cell coordination schemes using adaptive link adaptation and variable frequency reuse for OFDMA downlink cellular networks, which are composed of greedy cell coordination for flat fading channel, dynamic maximum C/I cell coordination (DMCC), and dynamic proportional fairness cell coordination (DPFCC) for frequency selective fading channel. The performances of the proposed dynamic cell coordination schemes are compared to those with no cell coordination schemes and static reuse coordination schemes using conventional proportional fair (PF) scheduling in terms of system throughput and fairness. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes allow the radio network controller (RNC) and base stations (BSs) to apply different reuse factors on each subchannel in consideration of different interference conditions of individual users so as to increase the system throughput and guarantee QoS requirement of each user on the multicell environment, where the performance of conventional OFDMA downlinks might have become degraded due to persistent interference from other cells. In frequency flat fading, the proposed dynamic schemes achieve, on average, a 1.2 times greater system throughput than no cell coordination, a 1.4 times greater static cell coordination and a 3 times greater simplified subchannel allocation scheme (SSAS) (Kim et al. in Proceedings of IEEE VTC spring’04, vol. 3, pp. 1821–1825, 2004). In frequency selective fading, the proposed scheme, DMCC, showed a 2.6 times greater throughput than that of a single reuse factor of one for all subcarriers, and DPFCC demonstrated a single reuse factor as good as one. 相似文献
