An efficient way to implement the surface impedance boundary conditions (SIBC) for the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is presented in this paper. Surface impedance boundary conditions are first formulated for a lossy dielectric half-space in the frequency domain. The impedance function of a lossy medium is approximated with a series of first-order rational functions. Then, the resulting time-domain convolution integrals are computed using recursive formulas which are obtained by assuming that the fields are piecewise linear in time. Thus, the recursive formulas derived here are second-order accurate. Unlike a previously published method [7] which requires preprocessing to compute the exponential approximation prior to the FDTD simulation, the preprocessing time is eliminated by performing a rational approximation on the normalized frequency-domain impedance. This approximation is independent of material properties, and the results are tabulated for reference. The implementation of the SIBC for a PEC-backed lossy dielectric shell is also introduced  相似文献

A high-performance and low-cost single-switch current-fed energy recovery circuit (ERC) for an alternating current (ac) plasma display panel (PDF) is proposed. Since it is composed of only one power switch compared with the conventional circuit consisting of four power switches and two large energy recovery capacitors, it features a much simpler structure and lower cost. Furthermore, since all power switches can be switched under soft-switching operation, the proposed circuit has desirable merits such as an increased reliability, and low switching loss. Especially, there are no serious voltage notches across the PDP with the aid of gas discharge current compensation, which can greatly reduce the current stress of all inverter switches, and provide those switches with the turn on timing margin. To confirm the validity of the proposed circuit, its operation and performance were verified on a prototype for 7-in test PDP.  相似文献

If the channel is static and is perfectly known to both the transmitter and the receiver, the water-filling technique with adaptive modulation is known to be optimal (Gallager, 1968). However, for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, this requires intensive traffic overheads for reporting channel state information on all subcarriers to the transmitter. In this paper, we consider an adaptive modulation and coding scheme for bit-interleaved coded OFDM with reduced feedback information satisfying a specified quality of service level. We propose a rate adaptation scheme, which utilizes the estimated bit error rate for supportable transmission rates. In this scheme, a user equipment chooses a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) level, which can provide the maximum spectral efficiency based on one OFDM symbol rather than on all subchannels. Then the user needs to send back only the selected MCS level index. The proposed scheme does not require the water-filling procedure, and the amount of the feedback information reduces to a single integer value irrespective of the number of subcarriers. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly reduce the system complexity while minimizing the performance loss compared to the optimum water-filling scheme.  相似文献

Erythroid differentiation regulator 1 (Erdr1) has previously been reported to control thymocyte selection via TCR signal regulation, but the effect of Erdr1 as a TCR signaling modulator was not studied in peripheral T cells. In this report, it was determined whether Erdr1 affected TCR signaling strength in CD4 T cells. Results revealed that Erdr1 significantly enhanced the anti-TCR antibody-mediated activation and proliferation of T cells while failing to activate T cells in the absence of TCR stimulation. In addition, Erdr1 amplified Ca2+ influx and the phosphorylation of PLCγ1 in CD4 T cells with the TCR stimuli. Furthermore, NFAT1 translocation into nuclei in CD4 T cells was also significantly promoted by Erdr1 in the presence of TCR stimulation. Taken together, our results indicate that Erdr1 positively modulates TCR signaling strength via enhancing the PLCγ1/Ca2+/NFAT1 signal transduction pathway.  相似文献

The novel hybrid polyoxazoline‐grafted multiwalled carbon nanotubes (POZO‐grafted MWNTs) were synthesized by the reaction of partially hydrolyzed polyoxazolines (Hydrolyzed‐POZO) and MWNTs having carboxylic acid groups (MWNT‐COOH) in the presence of DCC as a condensing agent. Hydrolyzed‐POZO (degree of hydrolysis, 20.2 mol % by 1H‐NMR) were produced from the hydrolysis of polyoxazolines in an aqueous NaOH solution at reflux for 72 h. MWNT‐COOH were prepared by acid treatment of pristine MWNTs. The composition, structure, thermal property, and surface morphology of the novel hybrid POZO‐grafted MWNTs were fully characterized by FT‐IR, Raman, 1H‐NMR, DSC, TGA, SEM, and TEM. The obtained POZO‐grafted MWNTs are well soluble in various organic solvents and water. It was observed that the glass transition temperature (Tg) of POZO‐grafted MWNTs was lower than that of Hydrolyzed‐POZO due to the absence of hydrogen bonding interactions between Hydrolyzed‐POZO itself caused by the incorporation with MWNTs. It was also found that Hydrolyzed‐POZO was homogeneously attached to the surfaces of MWNTs through the “grafting‐to” method. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2010  相似文献

Sweet potato pulp (SSP) obtained as a by‐product from starch extraction was blended with polycaprolactone (PCL) to prepare a biodegradable plastic material. In the blends, PCL was used as a reinforcing agent. The SPP/PCL blends were prepared by compression‐molding under high temperature and pressure, at different SPP/PCL ratios, and the mechanical properties of the molded specimens were tested. Matrix structure and thermal properties were measured by using a Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Mechanical properties (tensile and flexural properties) were also measured to find the most suitable ratio in a SSP/PCL blend. During compression molding of the SPP/PCL blends under high pressure and temperature, chemical reaction occurred between SPP and PCL, and thus, thermal stability and mechanical strength of the blends increased and water uptake decreased. Also, by increasing the PCL content in the blend, the matrix in the blend became more homogeneous, and consequently, mechanical strength of the molded specimen increased. At 7/3 or 6/4 weight ratio of SSP/PCL, water uptake of the molded specimen became substantially less than that at 8/2. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 92: 861–866, 2004  相似文献
