A copper (Cu) foam was brazed with Cu-4.0Sn-9.9Ni-7.8P filler foil for joint strength and interface analysis. Brazed 50 pores per inch (PPI) Cu foam yielded a maximum compressive strength of 14.4?MPa with a 127% increment compared to nonbrazed Cu foam. 15 PPI Cu foam produced a maximum shear strength of 2.7?MPa. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the thickness of the brazed seam decreased with increasing the Cu foam’s PPI. The formation of the Cu, Cu3P (P: phosphorus) and Ni3P (Ni: nickel) at the Cu/Cu foam interface was validated using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and X-ray diffraction. EDX line scanning analysis revealed the diffusion of P and Ni into Cu foam, which took place via capillary force action. 相似文献

We show how a layered Cloud service model of software (SaaS), platform (PaaS), and infrastructure (IaaS) leverages multiple independent Clouds by creating a federation among the providers. The layered architecture leads naturally to a design in which inter-Cloud federation takes place at each service layer, mediated by a broker specific to the concerns of the parties at that layer. Federation increases consumer value for and facilitates providing IT services as a commodity. This business model for the Cloud is consistent with broker mediated supply and service delivery chains in other commodity sectors such as finance and manufacturing. Concreteness is added to the federated Cloud model by considering how it works in delivering the Weather Research and Forecasting service (WRF) as SaaS using PaaS and IaaS support. WRF is used to illustrate the concepts of delegation and federation, the translation of service requirements between service layers, and inter-Cloud broker functions needed to achieve federation. 相似文献

The knowledge of how cells respond to different treatments in terms of their migration potential could improve bone regeneration and osseointegration of dental implants. The objective of this study was to elucidate the effects of various chemoattractants, bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2), low-level laser therapy (LLLT), and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) on the migration of dental follicle stem cells (DFSCs). The chemoattractants used in our study were the serum-free (SF) conditioned media that were harvested from osteoblast cell cultures seeded on the surface of titanium implants—Ti6Al7Nb (TiCtrl), implants infiltrated with hydroxyapatite (TiHA), with silicatitanate (TiSiO2), and from culture of DFSCs cultivated on TiCtrl implants. We used the scratch migration assay to evaluate the influence of BMP-2, LLLT therapy, and CBCT on the migration potential of DFSCs. The migration scratch assay indicates that the BMP-2 growth factor is able to increase the DFSC migration compared to control culturing medium and regardless of laser or CBCT exposure. The results demonstrate the importance of improving the implant surface with HA, SiO2, and DFSCs. Stimulated DFSCs will secrete growth factors which will act as chemoattractants for the stem cells of the implant host. Adding growth factors such as BMP-2 can improve the migration process of DFSCs. 相似文献

Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) are expected to be commercially available on the world market in 2015, therefore, introducing hydrogen-refueling stations is an urgent issue to be addressed. This paper proposes deployment plan of hydrogen infrastructure for the success of their market penetration in the Northeastern United States. The plan consists of three-timeline stages from 2013 to 2025 and divides the designated region into urban area, suburban area and area adjacent to expressway, so that easy to access to hydrogen stations can be realized. Station is chosen from four types of stations: off-site station, urban-type on-site station, suburban-type on-site station and portable station, associated with growing demand. In addition, on-site station is used as hydrogen production factory for off-site station to save total investment. This deployment plan shows that 83% of urban residents can reach station within 10 min in 2025, and that more than 90% people especially in four major cities: Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. can get to station within 10 min by Geographic Information System (GIS) calculation. 相似文献

Domain analysis is the process of identifying and documenting common and variable characteristics of systems in a specific domain. This process is a large and complex one, involving many interrelated activities, making it essential to have a tool support for aiding the process. We present a domain analysis tool called ToolDAy that has the purpose of making the process semi-automatic. The requirements definition presented were based on the results of a systematic review that analyzed several existing tools. Furthermore, this article describes the tool architecture, implementation and its evaluations (two as a controlled experiment and one as an industrial case study) with three different domains. The results of these evaluations indicate that the tool can aid the domain analyst to achieve systematic reuse in an effective way. 相似文献

Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is an important polymer because of its significant biocompatibility and biodegradability. Supported H3PW12O40 (H3PW) on activated carbon was utilized for the catalytic polymerization of D,L-lactic acid, resulting in blends of PLA. The stability of the polymer was monitored by thermogravimetry (TGA), and the decomposition temperature (Td) was used to determine the optimal production conditions (i.e., temperature of 180 °C for 15 h; 0.1 wt. % catalyst; 20 wt. % H3PW/carbon calcined at 400 °C). The best catalyst was reused three times with good activity and recovery (95 %) and was analyzed to confirm the consistency of its Keggin structure, dispersion, and acidity, which are important parameters that affect the catalyst’s activity. The obtained polymer was characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), 1H/13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, specific optical rotation ([α]D 25), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The average molar mass of the polymer was 17,400 g mol?1. Blends of poly(lactic acid) with 85 % poly(L-lactic acid) stereospecific isomer were obtained. 相似文献

The effects of agitation (1002 rpm), different pressure reduction rates (60 and 100 mbar/min), as well as employing cold water with different initial temperatures (IWT: 7 and 20 °C) on immersion vacuum cooling (IVC) of cooked pork hams were experimentally investigated. Final pork ham core temperature, cooling time, cooling loss, texture properties, colour and chemical composition were evaluated. The application for the first time of agitation during IVC substantially reduced the cooling time (47.39%) to 4.6 °C, compared to IVC without agitation. For the different pressure drop rates, there was a trend that shorter IVC cooling times were achieved with lower cooling rate, although results were not statistically significant (P > 0.05). For both IWTs tested, the same trend was observed: shorter cooling time and lower cooling loss were obtained under lower linear pressure drop rate of 60 mbar/min (not statistically significant, P > 0.05). Compared to the reference cooling method (air blast cooling), IVC achieved higher cooling rates and better meat quality. 相似文献

The development of new laser-driven electron linear accelerators, providing unique ultrashort pulsed electron beams (UPEBs) with low repetition rates, opens new opportunities for radiotherapy and new fronts for radiobiological research in general. Considering the growing interest in the application of UPEBs in radiation biology and medicine, the aim of this study was to reveal the changes in immune system in response to low-energy laser-driven UPEB whole-body irradiation in rodents. Forty male albino Wistar rats were exposed to laser-driven UPEB irradiation, after which different immunological parameters were studied on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 14th, and 28th day after irradiation. According to the results, this type of irradiation induces alterations in the rat immune system, particularly by increasing the production of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines and elevating the DNA damage rate. Moreover, such an immune response reaches its maximal levels on the third day after laser-driven UPEB whole-body irradiation, showing partial recovery on subsequent days with a total recovery on the 28th day. The results of this study provide valuable insight into the effect of laser-driven UPEB whole-body irradiation on the immune system of the animals and support further animal experiments on the role of this novel type of irradiation. 相似文献
