This article is the first of 3 that focus on user-centered design and usability in the field of industrial process control. This article starts with an introduction to this special domain and sets out the need for user-centered design of innovative user interfaces. The MediaPlant research project is then introduced. This project aims to generate innovative user interface solutions for process control. The usability engineering methods presented are well known in relation to office application software and were applied in the course of the project to (a) evaluate the potential and application fields of innovative multimedia technology and 3-dimensional information presentation (described at the end of this article), (b) define innovative user interface building blocks for process control that can be applied across sectors (described in the second article, Komischke & Burmester [this issue]) and (c) develop human-centered user interfaces for controlling paper recycling plants (described in the third article, Epstein & Beu [this issue]).  相似文献

A new bifunctional coupling agent with an oxazinone and a lactamate group is synthesized. It is shown by means of model reactions that in the presence of aliphatic hydroxy compounds the reaction of the coupling agent is highly selective. At 220 °C, a conversion of the lactamate group of about 90% is observed under elimination of lactam. In a second reaction the oxazinone group is converted with an aliphatic amino compound. This high selectivity is utilized in the synthesis of segmented polyester/polyamide block copolymers by sequential conversion of the coupling agent with hydroxy‐terminated polyesters [poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) and polycaprolactone (PCL)] and amino‐terminated polyamide 12 (PA12) under the conditions of reactive extrusion. In the case of the PA12/PBT block copolymer, ductile behavior is observed, whereas the PA12/PCL block copolymer shows elastic properties. Both polymers are phase separated on the nanometer‐scale, as evidenced by AFM and SEM. The thermal behavior of the polymers is affected by the influence of the individual blocks.

The focus of this publication is a review of the state of the art in tolerance analysis, synthesis, and transfer for geometric and dimensional tolerances in sheet metal forming and the integration solutions with computer-aided process planning systems. In this context, the general tolerance methods are first described. Then, the mathematical models for sheet metal tolerance analysis and synthesis are examined in detail. To address the CAPP modeling concerns, the paper is then followed up with a brief review of past research works related to feature-based process planning. Incorporation of catalyst atoms during the growth process of semiconductor nanowires reduces the electron mean free path and degrades their electronic properties. Aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) is now capable of directly imaging single Au atoms within the dense matrix of a GaAs crystal, by slightly tilting the GaAs lattice planes with respect to the incident electron beam. Au doping values in the order of 10(17-18) cm(3) were measured, making ballistic transport through the nanowires practically inaccessible.  相似文献

The 3D structure reconstruction of gold core-silver shell nanoparticles by electron tomography is combined with optical dark-field spectroscopy. Electron tomography allows segmentation of the particles into core and shell subvolumes and facilitates avoiding Bragg diffraction artifacts inherent in 2D images. This advantage proves essential for accurate correlation of plasmon spectra and structure. We find that for the nanoparticles of near-spherical shape studied here the plasmon resonances depend on the relative size of the core and shell, rather than on their exact shapes and concentricity. A remarkable dependence of the spectral shape on the permittivity of the surrounding medium is also demonstrated, suggesting that core-shell nanoparticles can be used as ratiometric sensors with a very high dynamic range.  相似文献

The wavefront sensor in active and adaptive telescopes is usually not in the optical path toward the scientific detector. It may generate additional wavefront aberrations, which have to be separated from the errors due to the telescope optics. The aberrations that are not rotationally symmetric can be disentangled from the telescope aberrations by a series of measurements taken in the center of the field, with the wavefront sensor at different orientation angles with respect to the focal plane. This method has been applied at the VLT Survey Telescope on the ESO Paranal observatory.  相似文献

The formation of solid solutions of the type [Ba(HOC2H4OH)4][Ti1−x Ge x (OC2H4O)3] as Ba(Ti1−x /Ge x )O3 precursors and the phase evolution during thermal decomposition of [Ba(HOC2H4OH)4][Ti0.9Ge0.1(OC2H4O)3] (1) are described herein. The 1,2-ethanediolato complex 1 decomposes above 589 °C to a mixture of BaTiO3 and BaGeO3. A heating rate controlled calcination procedure, up to 730 °C, leads to a nm-sized Ba(Ti0.9/Ge0.1)O3 powder (1a) with a specific surface area of S = 16.9 m2/g, whereas a constant heating rate calcination at 1,000 °C for 2 h yields a powder (1b) of S = 3.0 m2/g. The shrinkage and sintering behaviour of the resulting Ba(Ti0.9/Ge0.1)O3 powder compacts in comparison with nm-sized BaTiO3 powder compacts (2a) has been investigated. A two-step sintering procedure of nm-sized Ba(Ti0.9/Ge0.1)O3 compacts (1a) leads, below 900 °C, to ceramic bodies with a relative density of ≥90%. Furthermore, the cubic ⇆ tetragonal phase transition temperature has been detected by dilatometry, and the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant (relative permittivity) has also been measured.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Es wird ein einfaches Analysenverfahren für die Bestimmung von Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2, M1 und M1, Sterigmatocystin, Penicillinsäure und Patulin in verschiedenen Lebensmitteln beschrieben.Die Mykotoxine lassen sich mit Essigsäureethylester extrahieren. Die Extrakte werden säulenchromatographisch an Mini-Kieselgel-Fertigsäulen vorgereinigt. Die Gehalte der einzelnen Mykotoxine werden nach der dünnschichtchromatographischen Auftrennung fluoro-densitometrisch ermittelt. Eine beträchtliche Erhöhung der Fluorescenzintensitäten kann durch Besprühen der Platten mit Paraffin nach dem Entwickeln erreicht werden. Die Nachweisgrenzen der fluorescierenden Mykotoxine und der fluorescierenden Derivate von Penicillinsäure und Sterigmatocystin können dadurch auf 1/10 bzw. 1/100 herabgesetzt werden.Patulin wird am empfindlichsten durch Messung der Fluorescenzlöschung bestimmt.
A screening method for the determination of various mycotoxins in food
Summary A simple analytical method for multiple mycotoxins was developed for detecting aflatoxin B1 B2, G1, G2, M1, and M2, sterigmatocystin, penicillin acid, ochratoxin A and patulin. These mycotoxins were extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was cleaned up by chromatography on silica mini-column. Each fraction was separated by thin-layer chromatography. The final evaluation of the TLC-plates was carried out by fluorodensitometry.A considerable increase in fluorescence intensity was achieved by spraying the plates with paraffin after development. The detection limits of fluorescent mycotoxins and the fluorescent derivates of penicillic acid and sterigmatocystin were lowered to 1:10 up to 1:100.Spots of patulin were measured by fluorescence quenching.

The enzymatic epimerization of uridine 5′‐diphospho‐α‐D ‐glucose (UDP‐Glc, 1 ) and uridine 5′‐diphospho‐N‐acetyl‐α‐D ‐glucosamine (UDP‐GlcNAc, 2 ) and the subsequent oxidation of uridine 5′‐diphospho‐α‐D ‐galactose (UDP‐Gal, 3 ) and uridine 5′‐diphospho‐N‐acetyl‐α‐D ‐galactosamine (UDP‐GalNAc, 4 ) were combined with chemical biotinylation with biotin‐ε‐amidocaproylhydrazide in a one‐pot synthesis. Analysis by CE and NMR revealed a mixture (1.0:1.4) of the biotinylated nucleotide sugars uridine 5′‐diphospho‐6‐biotin‐ε‐amidocaproylhydrazino‐α‐D ‐galactose (UDP‐6‐biotinyl‐Gal, 7) and uridine 5′‐diphospho‐6‐biotin‐ε‐amidocaproylhydrazino‐α‐D ‐glucose (UDP‐6‐biotinyl‐Glc, 9 ), respectively, in a reaction started with 1 . One product, uridine 5′‐diphospho‐6‐biotin‐ε‐amidocaproylhydrazino‐N‐acetyl‐α‐D ‐galactosamine (UDP‐6‐biotinyl‐GalNAc, 8) was formed when the reaction was initiated with 2 . It could be demonstrated for the first time that a UDP‐Glc(NAc) 4′‐epimerase (Gne from Campylobacter jejuni) and galactose oxidase from Dactylium dendroides can be used simultaneously in enzymatic catalysis. This is of particular interest since the coaction of an enzyme demanding reductive conditions and an oxygen‐dependent oxidase is unexpected.  相似文献
