SLC26A9, a constitutively active Cl transporter, has gained interest over the past years as a relevant disease modifier in several respiratory disorders including Cystic Fibrosis (CF), asthma, and non-CF bronchiectasis. SLC26A9 contributes to epithelial Cl secretion, thus preventing mucus obstruction under inflammatory conditions. Additionally, SLC26A9 was identified as a CF gene modifier, and its polymorphisms were shown to correlate with the response to drugs modulating CFTR, the defective protein in CF. Here, we aimed to investigate the relationship between SLC26A9 and CFTR, and its role in CF pathogenesis. Our data show that SLC26A9 expression contributes to enhanced CFTR expression and function. While knocking-down SLC26A9 in human bronchial cells leads to lower wt- and F508del-CFTR expression, function, and response to CFTR correctors, the opposite occurs upon its overexpression, highlighting SLC26A9 relevance for CF. Accordingly, F508del-CFTR rescue by the most efficient correctors available is further enhanced by increasing SLC26A9 expression. Interestingly, SLC26A9 overexpression does not increase the PM expression of non-F508del CFTR traffic mutants, namely those unresponsive to corrector drugs. Altogether, our data indicate that SLC26A9 stabilizes CFTR at the ER level and that the efficacy of CFTR modulator drugs may be further enhanced by increasing its expression.  相似文献

The effect of the addition of CeO2 or La2O3 on the surface properties and catalytic behaviors of Al2O3-supported Pd catalysts was studied in the steam reforming of methane. The FTIR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO and the Pd dispersion suggest the partial coverage of Pd0 by ceria or lanthana species. This could lead to the formation of an adduct MPd x O (M = Ce or La) at the surface of the metal crystallites. The addition of ceria or lanthana resulted in an increase of the turnover rate and specific rate for steam reforming of methane. One possible explanation if that the Pd0*Pdδ+O–M interfacial species (M = Ce or La) are oxidized by H2O or CO2, promoting the O* transfer to the metal surface. This could facilitate the removal of C* species from the metal surface, resulting in the increase of specific reaction rate and increase of the accessibility of CH4 to metal active sites.  相似文献

A homoepitaxial boron-doped diamond single layer is investigated by means of Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and cathodoluminescence (CL). Both techniques are shown to be complementary. µ-FTIR mapping allows to determine the location of active boron while CL allows discernability between passivation and compensation. Hydrogen incorporation during chemical vapour deposition (CVD) growth is revealed to passivate boron acceptors. The obtained results highlight that plasma etching can induce a dissociation of B–H centres.  相似文献

This work presents a sustainability analysis of CO2 reuse to produce dimethyl carbonate (DMC) via ethylene oxide (ROUTE A) and via urea methanolysis (ROUTE B). Two different technologies are considered in ROUTE A: reaction followed by separation and reactive distillation. Life cycle analyses of the ROUTES are presented employing sustainability analysis performed in HYSYS process simulator, along with WAR Algorithm. Process economical optimization is performed to maximize the processes profitability. A sustainability function, defined as a 2D indicator involving both economical and environmental aspects, is calculated for the optimized processes. Additional sustainability indexes are evaluated: material index, energy index, and ecoefficiency. The results, under both economical and environmental aspects, show that ROUTE A is the most sustainable. The study also points to the relevance of the frontier set between the domains cradle-to-gate and gate-to-gate in assessing process sustainability during LCA.  相似文献

In this Letter, a new approach to build a neural model for the fast identification of spatiotemporal sequences is proposed. Such a model, the Stochastic Neural Sequence Identifier (SNSI), is simple and rapidly learns and identifies a given sequence. The SNSI receives as input several patterns belonging to a particular spatiotemporal sequence and produces as output a label for the sequence identified and a probability of this classification being correct. The SNSI is able to identify a sequence from patterns learned during training or novel ones, i.e., combinations of the sequence items distinct from those belonging to the trained set. The SNSI was tested on a 2D set of both closed and open trajectories with varying levels of complexity. The results suggest that the SNSI is able to recognize all the patterns presented in the training and most of the novel patterns used for testing.  相似文献
