We measured cardiac outputs at forty points from five patients by pulse dye densitometry and compared these with those measured by thermodilution method. We obtained a good correlation (y = 1.090 x = . 0.030, n = 40, 5 cases) and small mean bias (0.348 +/- 0.830 l.min-1, n = 40, 5 cases) between the two methods. We suggest that this method of cardiac output measurement by pulse dye densitometry is not invasive and may be more effective than that by thermodilution method. 相似文献

PURPOSE: To determine the frequency and nature of intraoperative complications of endocapsular phacoemulsification cataract surgery. SETTING: Dalcross Private Hospital and the Departments of Ophthalmology, Concord Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, Australia. METHODS: This prospective study included the first 1000 cases of planned endocapsular phacoemulsification cataract surgery performed by an experienced surgeon. A standardized proforma was completed at the time of surgery. Data recorded included pre-existing ocular abnormalities, duration of surgery, nuclear sclerosis grade, and intraoperative complications. RESULTS: Major complications comprised posterior capsule tears with vitreous loss (1.4%), isolated posterior capsule tears (0.7%), and zonulysis (0.1%). Minor complications included anterior capsule tears (3.8%), iris prolapse (0.6%), and ciliary body incision (0.2%). There was a significant trend toward complications as the nuclear sclerosis grade increased. The incidence of major complications was 9.3% in the first 150 cases and 0.9% in the last 850. This represents a relative risk of 9.9 (95% confidence interval 4.2 to 23.0) of a major complication occurring in the first 150 compared with the later 850 cases. CONCLUSION: The frequency of major and minor complications fell sharply after the first 150 operations and was maintained. This study may provide a guide for beginning phacoemulsification surgeons and a basis for experienced surgeons to compare their performance outcomes. 相似文献

A simple and practical method for minimizing non-linear image contrast in spherical aberration-corrected (C(S)-corrected) high-resolution transmission electron microscopy is presented. The effectiveness of the method is considered from the viewpoints of theoretical formulations and image simulations including second-order imaging effects. The method is one of the advantages of C(S)-correction and applied to high-resolution images down to 0.1 nm. The dynamical diffraction effect is carefully evaluated, which shows that the phase deviation of diffracted waves from pi/2 violates the present method in thicker crystals over approximately 10 nm. 相似文献

The JSNS, a spallation neutron source of J-PARC (JAERI-KEK Joint Project of the High Intensity Proton Accelerator) has 23 neutron beam lines. In the present study, a database was formulated for an optimum shielding design using the MCNP-X code. The calculations involved two steps. In the first step, the neutron distributions were created in the typical neutron beam line with a model that included the spallation neutron source target. The neutron currents evaluated flowed from the duct into the duct wall which was the boundary source for the bulk shield surrounding the beam line. In the second step, bulk-shield calculations were performed for the various shielding materials (iron, concrete, heavy concrete and so on) used and their composites up to thicknesses of 3 m. The results were compared with each other. Composite material shields of iron and such hydrogeneous materials as polyethylene or concrete were more effective. There are three classes of Fc gamma receptor proteins, Fc gamma RI (CD64), Fc gamma RII (CDw32), and Fc gamma RIII (CD16), which are encoded by at least eight genes. In this review we summarize some of the biological advances in the Fc gamma receptors during the past year, specifically: 1) identification of genes and their products; 2) regulation of gene expression and modulation of receptor number; 3) cellular functions and mechanisms of signal transduction; 4) ligand binding and the role of polymorphisms; and 5) soluble Fc gamma receptors.
