A set of equations was derived for a nonBoussinesq ocean model in this paper. A new time-splitting scheme was introduced which incorporates the 4th-order Runge-Kutta explicit scheme of low-frequency mode and an implicit scheme of high-frequency mode. With this model, potential temperature, salinity fields and sea surface height were calculated simultaneously such that the numerical error of extrapolation of density field from the current time level to the next one could be reduced while using the equation of mass conservation to determine sea surface height. The non-Boussinesq effect on the density field and sea surface height was estimated by numerical experiments in the final part of this paper. 相似文献

We have developed a sequence-specific model for predicting slopes (S) in the fundamental equation of linear solvent strength theory for the reversed-phase HPLC separation of tryptic peptides detected in a typical bottom-up-proteomics experiment. These slopes control the variation in the separation selectivity observed when the physical parameters of chromatographic separation, such as gradient slope, flow rate, and column size are altered. For example, with the use of an arbitrarily chosen set of tryptic peptides with a 4-times difference in the gradient slope between two experiments, the R(2)-value of correlation between the observed retention times of identical species decreases to ~0.993-0.996 (compared to a theoretical value of ~1.00). The observed retention time shifts associated with variations of the gradient slope can be predicted a priori using the approach described here. The proposed model is based on our findings for a set of synthetic species (Vu, H.; Spicer, V.; Gotfrid, A.; Krokhin, O. V. J. Chromatogr., A, 2010, 1217, 489-497), which postulate that slopes S can be predicted taking into account simultaneously peptide length, charge, and hydrophobicity. Here we extend this approach using an extensive set of real tryptic peptides. We developed the procedure to accurately measure S-values in nano-RP HPLC MS experiments and introduced sequence-specific corrections for a more accurate prediction of the slopes S. A correlation of ~0.95 R(2)-value between the predicted and experimental S-values was demonstrated. Predicting S-values and calculating the expected retention time shifts when the physical parameters of separation like gradient slope are altered will facilitate a more accurate application of peptide retention prediction protocols, aid in the transfer of scheduled MRM (SRM) procedures between LC systems, and increase the efficiency of interlaboratory data collection and comparison. 相似文献

The French manufacture of Sèvres, famous for its production of fine porcelain artifacts, has been synthesizing pink pigments mainly composed of the spinel phase ZnAl2?xCrxO4 with x varying from 0.25 to 0.41 since the middle of the 19th century. This kind of pigment is mixed with an uncolored frit to obtain decorations for porcelain artifacts. However, the pink color of the pigment is altered in a particular uncolored frit and a brownish color appears. The mechanism of this color change was investigated. Observations under a scanning electron microscope revealed the formation of a phase rich in Cr resulting from reactions between the uncolored frit and the pigment during firing. X‐ray diffraction combined with Rietveld refinements and X‐ray absorption near edge structure measurements at the Cr K‐edge showed that the new formed phase belongs to the same spinel phase ZnAl2?xCrxO4 than the pigment, but with a higher Cr content x. We showed that its formation and thus the stability of the pigment is driven by the Al content in the uncolored frit. 相似文献

We present a new high-throughput screening method for the selection of powerful water-soluble antiradiation compounds. This method, which uses conventional immunoassay techniques, allowed the capacity of a given compound to protect thymidine from irradiation to be evaluated.
