The synthesis of new modified indolo[3,2-c]quinoline ligands L(1)-L(8) with metal-binding sites is reported. By coordination to ruthenium- and osmium-arene moieties 16 complexes of the type [(η(6)-p-cymene)M(L)Cl]Cl (1a,b-8a,b), where M is Ru(II) or Os(II) and L is L(1)-L(8), have been prepared. All compounds were comprehensively characterized by elemental analysis, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, IR, UV-vis, and NMR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (2a, 4a, 4b, 5a, 7a, and 7b). The complexes were tested for antiproliferative activity in vitro in three human cancer cell lines, namely, CH1 (ovarian carcinoma), SW480 (colon adenocarcinoma), and A549 (non-small-cell lung cancer), yielding IC(50) values in the submicromolar or low micromolar range.  相似文献

The dynamic fracture of natural polyphase ceramic (granite) blocks by high-speed impact at 207 m/s, 420 m/s and 537 m/s has been investigated. An electromagnetic railgun was used as the launch system. Results reveal that the number of fragments increases substantially, and the dominant length scale in their probability distributions decreases, as the impact energy is increased. Micro-scale studies of the fracture surfaces reveals evidence of localized temperatures in excess of 2000 K brought on by frictional melting via fracturing and slip along grain boundaries in orthoclase and plagioclase, and via transgranular fracture (micro-cracking) in quartz. The formation of SiO2- and TiO2-rich spheroids on fracture surfaces indicates that temperatures in excess of 3500 K are reached during fracture.  相似文献

The goal of this paper is to describe the quality of different two-sample bootstrap and permutation tests for comparing variances. It is thereby inter alia shown that studentized resampling versions of the classical F-ratio test are asymptotically effective in a general nonparametric setting. This means that there is asymptotic no loss of power under contiguous alternatives. Moreover it is indicated that these tests are asymptotically consistent for fixed alternatives.  相似文献

Attention toward nanosized metal nitrides and carbides is rapidly increasing thanks to their chemical characteristics that make them as valid and sustainable alternatives to noble metals in catalysis and to air-sensitive metals or oxides for applications under harsh conditions. They are mostly used as bulk phase or micron sized powders, due to an intrinsic difficulty to synthesize them as nanoparticles in a systematic and scalable fashion. However, nanosized metal nitrides and carbides could exhibit improved performances, e.g. in catalysis due to a higher surface area, and can be shaped more easily than corresponding larger grains for further specific applications. Recently, sol–gel chemistry has closed this gap and now enables the simple, cheap, and sustainable production of metal nitride and carbide nanoparticles.In the present review we give an overview on recent sol–gel based pathways for the synthesis of metal nitride and carbide nanoparticles, believing that a better knowledge of the potentialities of these still hardly touched materials stimulates research interest and applications.  相似文献

For fiber-reinforced plastics exists a big number of different criteria for the failure prediction. The intention of this paper is to compare the TSAI-HIL-, the LaRC04- and PUCK’s criterion in terms of their fracture curves for a unidirectional glass-fiber reinforced composite layer. Therefore after the implementation of these three criteria, the two-dimensional fracture curves for all possible stress combinations, which can be derived from a general spatial stress tensor, are computed. In this way, the characteristics of the criteria, similarities and differences and possible weak points become obvious.  相似文献

Viruses are often associated with colloids in wastewater and could be transported with colloids into groundwater from land disposal of human and animal effluent and sludge, causing contamination of groundwater. To investigate the role of colloids in the transport of viruses in groundwater, experiments were conducted using a 2 m long column packed with heterogeneous gravel aquifer media. Bacteriophage MS2 was used as the model virus and kaolinite as the model colloid. Experimental data were analyzed using Temporal Moment Analysis and Filtration Theory. In the absence of kaolinite colloid, MS2 phage traveled slightly faster than the conservative tracer bromide (Br), with little differences observed between unfiltered and filtered MS2 phage (0.22 μm as the operational cut-off for colloid-free virus). In the presence of kaolinite colloids, MS2 phage breakthrough occurred concurrently with that of the colloidal particles and the time taken to reach the peak virus concentration was reduced, suggesting a colloid-facilitated virus transport in terms of peak-concentration time and velocity. Meanwhile mass recovery and magnitude of concentrations of the phages were significantly reduced, indicating colloid-assisted virus attenuation in terms of concentrations and mass. Decreasing the pH or increasing the ionic strength increased the level of virus attachment to the aquifer media and colloids, and virus transport became more retarded, resulting in lower peak-concentration, lower mass recovery, longer peak-concentration time, and greater apparent collision efficiency. Increasing the concentration of dissolved organic matter (DOM) or flow rate resulted in faster virus transport velocity, higher peak-concentrations and mass recoveries, and lower apparent collision efficiencies. The dual-role of colloids in transport viruses has important implications for risk analysis and remediation of virus-contaminated sites.  相似文献

The development of methods facilitating the detection of cyanobacterial blooms in drinking water reservoirs at an early stage is of great importance. Fluorescence spectroscopy could meet these requirements. The study contains the examination of possible correlations between the different maxima of a fluorescence excitation-emission matrix and the amount of produced and excreted toxins of a lab culture of Microcystis aeruginosa at different stages of growth. Various fluorescence signals (protein-like and humic-like substances, pigments) are suited for an estimation of cell density and actual intra- and extracellular toxin concentration. One signal at 315 nm/396 nm presumably originating from protein-like substances might be useful as a tool for the prediction of increasing cyanobacterial toxin concentrations. As the measurement of fluorescence matrices is still time consuming, synchronous scans with Δλ = 80 nm were tested as a potential alternative. They accurately depict the course of protein-like and humic-like fluorescence during the different stages of growth although especially the latter one is not captured at its maximum. However, due to insufficient separation of chlorophyll a and phycocyanin, the image of the matrix maxima by synchronous scans with Δλ = 80 nm can only be used with minor restrictions. Nevertheless, fluorescence spectroscopy seems to be a powerful tool for the evaluation of cyanobacterial blooms.  相似文献

We present an algorithm for robust and efficient contact handling of deformable objects. By being aware of the internal dynamics of the colliding objects, our algorithm provides smooth rolling and sliding, stable stacking, robust impact handling, and seamless coupling of heterogeneous objects, all in a unified manner. We achieve dynamicsawareness through a constrained dynamics formulation with implicit complementarity constraints, and we present two major contributions that enable an efficient solution of the constrained dynamics problem: a time stepping algorithm that robustly ensures non-penetration and progressively refines the formulation of constrained dynamics, and a new solver for large mixed linear complementarity problems, based on iterative constraint anticipation. We show the application of our algorithm in challenging scenarios such as multi-layered cloth moving at high velocities, or colliding deformable solids simulated with large time steps.  相似文献
