This paper reviews interface design of web pages for e-commerce. Different tasks in e-commerce are contrasted. A systems model is used to illustrate the information flow between three subsystems in e-commerce: store environment, customer, and web technology. A customer makes several decisions: to enter the store, to navigate, to purchase, to pay, and to keep the merchandize. This artificial environment must be designed so that it can support customer decision-making. To retain customers it must be pleasing and fun, and create a task with natural flow. Customers have different needs, competence and motivation, which affect decision-making. It may therefore be important to customize the design of the e-store environment. Future ergonomics research will have to investigate perceptual aspects, such as presentation of merchandize, and cognitive issues, such as product search and navigation, as well as decision making while considering various economic parameters. Five theories on e-commerce research are presented.  相似文献

A queueing model with finite buffer size, mixed input traffic (Poisson and burst Poisson arrivals), synchronous transmission and server interruptions through a Bernoulli sequence of independent random variables is studied. Using average burst length, traffic intensity and input traffic mixture ratio as parameters, the relationships among buffer size, overflow probability and expected message queueing delay are obtained. An integrated digital voice-data system with synchronous time division multiplexing (STDM) for a large number of voice sources and mixed arrival process for data messages is considered as an application for this model. The results of this study are portrayed on graphs and may be used as guidelines in buffer design problems in digital voice-data systems. The queueing model developed is quite general in a sense that it covers pure Poisson and burst Poisson arrival processes and the mixture of the two as well.  相似文献

Emerging technologies such as edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G networks, big data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) empower, Industry 4.0, with a progressive production methodology that shows attention to the interaction between machine and human beings. In the literature, various authors have focused on resolving security problems in UAV communication to provide safety for vital applications. The current research article presents a Circle Search Optimization with Deep Learning Enabled Secure UAV Classification (CSODL-SUAVC) model for Industry 4.0 environment. The suggested CSODL-SUAVC methodology is aimed at accomplishing two core objectives such as secure communication via image steganography and image classification. Primarily, the proposed CSODL-SUAVC method involves the following methods such as Multi-Level Discrete Wavelet Transformation (ML-DWT), CSO-related Optimal Pixel Selection (CSO-OPS), and signcryption-based encryption. The proposed model deploys the CSO-OPS technique to select the optimal pixel points in cover images. The secret images, encrypted by signcryption technique, are embedded into cover images. Besides, the image classification process includes three components namely, Super-Resolution using Convolution Neural Network (SRCNN), Adam optimizer, and softmax classifier. The integration of the CSO-OPS algorithm and Adam optimizer helps in achieving the maximum performance upon UAV communication. The proposed CSODL-SUAVC model was experimentally validated using benchmark datasets and the outcomes were evaluated under distinct aspects. The simulation outcomes established the supreme better performance of the CSODL-SUAVC model over recent approaches.  相似文献

利用OpenSees有限元软件对美国加州地区的Truckee-I80/Truckee River Bridge (TRB)桥梁结构进行了数值模拟。然后应用改进的直接刚度法对该模型进行了有无测量误差下的单处、多处损伤评估;同时对该桥进行了相应的推覆分析以及地震动输入下的非线性损伤评估。评估结果表明:改进的直接刚度法对以弯曲变形为主的桥梁结构的损伤评估是有效和可行的。  相似文献

Classifying tropical wood species poses a considerable economic challenge and failure to classify the wood species accurately can have significant effects on timber industries. The problem of wood recognition is compounded with the nonlinearities of the features among the similar wood species. Besides that, large wood databases presented a problem of large processing time especially for online wood recognition system. In view of these problems, we propose the use of fuzzy logic-based pre-classifier as a means of treating uncertainty to improve the classification accuracy of tropical wood recognition system. The pre-classifier serve as a clustering mechanism for the large database simplifying the classification process making it more efficient. The use of the fuzzy logic-based pre-classifier has managed to increase the accuracy of the wood recognition system by 4 % and reduce the processing time for training and testing by more than 75 % and 26 % respectively.  相似文献

The evolution of local strains during shear of particles of a granular material is presented in this paper. A cylindrical specimen composed of 6.5-mm spherical plastic particles was loaded under an axisymmetric triaxial loading condition. Computed tomography (CT) was used to acquire three-dimensional images of the specimen at three shearing stages. The high-resolution CT images were used to identify the 3D coordinates of 400 particles. Nine strain components (normal, shear, and rotation), rotation angles, and local dilatancy angles for particle groups were calculated, and their frequency distribution histograms are presented and discussed. It was found that there is no preferred shear direction, and the standard deviation values for shear strain components (εxy, εxz, and εyz) were almost equal for the specific test shearing stage. Shear strains as high as 25.6% were recorded for some particle groups. Furthermore, granular particle groups rotated in the 3D space with almost equal amounts of rotation strains when loaded under axisymmetric triaxial condition. Rotation strain values are very close to the corresponding shear strains. Compared to particle sliding, rotation plays a major role in the shearing resistance of granular materials. The cumulative vertical rotation angles can be as high as 38° and the horizontal rotation angles have values as high as 60°. The statistical distributions of the local dilatancy angle (ψ1) of particle groups were calculated and found to be increasing as shearing continues. The “global” dilatancy angle value is very close to the mean local ψ1 during the first stage of shearing (i.e, when global εz = ?7.3%)  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a brain tumor segmentation and classification method for multi-modality magnetic resonance imaging scans. The data from multi-modal brain tumor segmentation challenge (MICCAI BraTS 2013) are utilized which are co-registered and skull-stripped, and the histogram matching is performed with a reference volume of high contrast. From the preprocessed images, the following features are then extracted: intensity, intensity differences, local neighborhood and wavelet texture. The integrated features are subsequently provided to the random forest classifier to predict five classes: background, necrosis, edema, enhancing tumor and non-enhancing tumor, and then these class labels are used to hierarchically compute three different regions (complete tumor, active tumor and enhancing tumor). We performed a leave-one-out cross-validation and achieved 88% Dice overlap for the complete tumor region, 75% for the core tumor region and 95% for enhancing tumor region, which is higher than the Dice overlap reported from MICCAI BraTS challenge.  相似文献

Multisite Land Use Allocation Problem (MLUA) refers to the problem of allocating more than one land use type in an area. MLUA problem is one of the truly NP Complete (combinatorial optimization) problems. To cope with this type of problems, intelligent techniques such as genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing, have been used. Research in the area of Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS) for resource allocation issues, a new scientific area of information system applications developed to support semi-structured or unstructured spatial decisions, has recently generated attention for integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In this paper we demonstrate how GIS can be integrated with Gene Expression Programming (GEP), a recently developed AI approach, for solving MLUA problems. The feasibility of the proposed approach in solving MLUA problems was checked using a fictive case study. The results indicated that the proposed approach gives good and satisfactory results.  相似文献
