A development of 170GHz/500kW level gyrotron was carried out as R&D work of ITER. The oscillation mode is TE31,8. In a short pulse experiment, the maximum power of 750kW was achieved at 85kV/40A. The efficiency was 22%. In the depressed collector operation, 500kW/36%/50ms was obtained. The maximum efficiency of 40% was obtained at PRF=470kW whereas the power decrease by the electron trapping was observed. Pulse extension was done up to 10s at PRF=170kW with the depressed collector operation. The power was limited by the temperature increase of the output window.  相似文献

Strength Analysis of Yttria-Stabilized Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystals   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Tensile strength of Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 polycrystals (Y-TZP) was measured by a newly developed tensile testing method with a rectangular bar. The tensile strength of Y-TZP was lower than that of the three-point bend strength, and the shape of the tensile strength distribution was quite different from that of the three-point bend strength distribution. It was difficult to predict the distribution curve of the tensile strength using the data of the three-point bend strength by one-modal Weibull distribution. The distribution of the tensile strength was analyzed by two- or three-model Weibull distribution coupled with an analysis of fracture origins. The distribution curve of the three-point bend strength which was estimated by multimodal Weibull distribution agreed favorably with that of the measured three-point bend strength values. A two-modal Weibull distribution function was formulated approximately from the distributions of the tensile and three-point bend strengths, and the estimated two-modal Weibull distribution function for the four-point bend strength agreed well with the measured four-point bend strength.  相似文献

We theoretically and experimentally study the all-optical clock recovery performance using the primary or the secondary temporal Talbot effects (PTTE or STTE, respectively) in a dispersive medium having the first-order dispersion together with the second-order dispersion (e.g., conventional single-mode fibers: SMFs). Our preliminary numerical simulations have indicated that the STTE-based all-optical clock recovery technique can improve double its performance as compared with the conventional PTTE-based technique when the second-order dispersion (dispersion slope) can be neglected. The following simulation results have revealed that the second-order dispersion, that the normal SMFs possess, limits the performance improvements in the STTE-based clock recovery, whereas the limited performance can be improved by appropriately compensating for the second-order dispersion. On the basis of our simulation results, experiments of the STTE-based clock recovery were conducted by compensating for the second-order dispersion of SMFs used as dispersive media. To be specific, SMFs’ second-order dispersion has been reduced to the one-sixteenth of its original value by combining with the reverse-dispersion fibers (RDFs) which can provide the second-order dispersion of the opposite sign to the SMFs. As a result, the performance improvements in the STTE-based clock recovery was demonstrated so that the 10-GHz clear optical clock pulses were successfully recovered from 10-Gbit/s return-to-zero (RZ) pseudo-random bit sequence (PRBS) optical signals.  相似文献

The optimum BISDN teleconference service for business, called hypermedia teleconference, is designed based on research into typical business activities and ATM, the most promising BISDN architecture. Service characteristics are determined by analysing the daily work practices of a large set of businessmen. It is shown that communication tasks occupy 44 per cent of the working day. The analysis further shows that some 60 per cent of all communication tasks could be performed through an advanced digital teleconference service. Hypermedia teleconference is designed to satisfy the needs of business through personal communication terminals and ATM public networks. The terminals effectively allocate the BISDN's high-speed transmission capability between a number of subchannels that realize distributed multipoint connection links and multimedia paths. The terminals use a new variable-bit-rate ATM codec created to realize high quality video. Users can easily create full featured teleconferences without a centralized connection facility. Terminals allow the synergistic combination of video, voice, telewriting, telepointing and document transmission services.  相似文献

In order to realize a noninvasive blood glucose monitor, we monitored the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). In this paper, the clinical evaluations were performed on not only normal subjects but also diabetic subjects using a GCF-glucose monitor to determine blood glucose levels. Meal load tests were carried out and the time-course changes in blood glucose level and GCF glucose level were measured continuously. A positive correlation of more than 0.9 was found between blood glucose level and GCF glucose level, necessitating the calibration of individual correlations for every subject. Finally, the performance of the GCF-glucose monitor was evaluated using Error Grid Analysis. As the results, significant information for the glucose level decision was obtained not only for normal subjects, but also for diabetic subjects.  相似文献

Error correction code (ECC) and built-in self-repair (BISR) techniques have been widely used for improving the yield and reliability of embedded memories. The targets of these two schemes are transient faults and hard faults, respectively. Recently, ECC is also considered as a promising solution for correcting hard error to further enhance the fabrication yield of memories. However, if the number of faulty bits within a codeword is greater than the protection capability of the adopted ECC scheme, the protection will become void. In order to cure this drawback, efficient logical to physical address remapping techniques are proposed in this paper. The goal is to reconstruct the constituent cells of codewords such that faulty cells can be evenly distributed into different codewords. A heuristic algorithm suitable for built-in implementation is presented for address remapping analysis. The corresponding built-in remapping analysis circuit is then derived. It can be easily integrated into the conventional built-in self-repair (BISR) module. A simulator is developed to evaluate the hardware overhead and repair rate. According to experimental results, the repair rate can be improved significantly with negligible hardware overhead.  相似文献

The effectiveness of caproic acid (hexanoic acid) addition to silages prepared from Italian ryegrass or cocksfoot (dry matter 16.3–34.5%) in preventing aerobic deterioration after opening was investigated in five experiments with varying amounts and times of application. Silages prepared in PVC bag silos were transferred to expanded polystyrene containers and left in a room at 25°C for 7 days with access to air. Aerobic deterioration was judged by rise in temperature, increase in pH and changes in the counts of yeasts and moulds. A low dry matter silage containing a fairly large amount of butyric acid was stable, and another low dry matter silage was relatively stable. Silages made from wilted grass deteriorated. Application of 50 mmol/kg grass at ensiling prevented deterioration in all cases. The effect was also observed with 50 mmol addition at opening, 10 mmol at ensiling and 10 mmol at opening in that order.  相似文献

This article reports the synthesis, crystallographic structure and OFET and OPV performance of the conjugated oligomer of cyclopentadithiophene (CPDT) with benzothiadiazole (BT). Synthesis of the oligomer composed of the CPDT-BT-CPDT sequence is accomplished using direct arylation reactions. Theoretical and experimental X-ray single crystallography confirms that two CPDT-BT-CPDT molecules are not entirely disordered, but are actually stacking directly across each other at the central BT units with an intermolecular distance of 3.61 Å, providing valuable insight into the polymer bulk structure. The performance of the oligomer in OFET devices is investigated by fabricating bottom gate top contact devices and demonstrates a hole mobility of 5.0 × 10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1. OPV devices of the oligomer blended with PC61BM and PC71BM show power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 1.61%. One potential use for the oligomer could be as a sensitiser in a ternary blend with P3HT–PC61BM or PCPDTBT–PC61BM OPVs; the PCE can be relatively increased by 3–9% depending on concentration, primarily as a result of increased short circuit current density.  相似文献

Tunnel electroresistance in ferroelectric tunnel junctions (FTJs) has attracted considerable interest, because of a promising application to nonvolatile memories. Development of ferroelectric thin‐film devices requires atomic‐scale band‐structure engineering based on depolarization‐field effects at interfaces. By using FTJs consisting of ultrathin layers of the prototypical ferroelectric BaTiO3, it is demonstrated that the surface termination of the ferroelectric in contact with a simple‐metal electrode critically affects properties of electroresistance. BaTiO3 barrier‐layers with TiO2 or BaO terminations show opposing relationships between the polarization direction and the resistance state. The resistance‐switching ratio in the junctions can be remarkably enhanced up to 105% at room temperature, by artificially controlling the fraction of BaO termination. These results are explained in terms of the termination dependence of the depolarization field that is generated by a dead layer and imperfect charge screening. The findings on the mechanism of tunnel electroresistance should lead to performance improvements in the devices based on nanoscale ferroelectrics.  相似文献

Mg3Sb2-based intermetallic compounds with exceptionally high thermoelectric performance exhibit unconventional n-type dopability and anomalously low thermal conductivity, attracting much attention to the underlying mechanisms. To date, investigations have been limited to first-principle calculations and thermodynamic analysis of defect formation, and detailed experimental analysis on crystal structure and phonon modes has not been achieved. Here, a synchrotron X-ray diffraction study clarifies that, against a previous view of a simple crystal structure with a small unit cell, Mg3Sb2 is inherently a heavily disordered material with Frenkel defects, charge-neutral defect complexes of cation vacancies and interstitials. Ionic charge neutrality preserved in Mg3Sb2 is responsible for exotic n-type dopability, which is unachievable for other Zintl phase materials. The thermal conductivity of Mg3Sb2 exhibits deviation from the standard T−1 temperature dependency with strongly limited phonon transport due to a strain field. Inelastic X-ray scattering measurement reveals enhanced phonon scattering induced by disorder. The results will draw renewed attention to crystal defects and disorder as means to explore new high-performance thermoelectric materials.  相似文献
