Photovoltaic-thermal collectors (or PV-T collector) are hybrid collectors where PV modules are integrated as an absorber of a thermal collector in order to convert solar energy into electricity and usable heat at the same time. In most of the cases, the hybrid collectors are made by the superposition of a PV module on the thermal absorber of a solar collector. In this paper, the approach is different and is to analyze thermal and optical properties related to both PV and solar thermal functions in order to identify an optimum combination leading to a maximum overall efficiency. Indeed, although these two functions do not exploit the same range of radiation wavelengths, thermal and PV functions are not so complementary due to photo-conversion thermal dependency. In this context, an alternative PV cell lamination has been developed with increased optical and thermal performance. The improvements were evaluated around 2 mA/cm2 in terms of current density in comparison to a standard module encapsulation. Based on this technique, a real size PV-T module has been built and tested at Fraunhofer solar test facilities. The results show a global efficiency of the PV-T collector above 87% (79% thermal efficiency plus 8.7% electrical efficiency, based on the absorber area).  相似文献

Efficiently coordinating the movement of trains on a railway network is a central part of the planning process for a railway company. This paper reviews models and methods that have been proposed in the literature to assist planners in finding train routes. Since the problem of routing trains on a railway network entails allocating the track capacity of the network (or part thereof) over time in a conflict-free manner, all studies that model railway track allocation in some capacity are considered relevant. We hence survey work on the train timetabling, train dispatching, train platforming, and train routing problems, group them by railway network type, and discuss track allocation from a strategic, tactical, and operational level.  相似文献

Enzymes often convert both physiological and non-physiological substrates with high stereoselectivity; yet, for some enzymes, opposite product chirality is observed. A possible explanation is the existence of hidden specificities becoming apparent when non-physiological substrates confer different substrate–enzyme interactions than the physiological substrate. To test this hypothesis, a series of α-methylated β-keto esters were converted with Tyl-KR1, a ketoreductase from polyketide synthesis in Streptomyces fradiae. The conversions of six substrates with different physicochemical properties exhibited enantioselectivities ranging from 84 % ee for R,R to 84 % ee for S,S, yet high and uniform diastereoselectivity (anti, d.r.>9:1). The exchange of a single atom, namely an oxygen ester instead of a thioester, led to almost complete loss of enantioselectivity (<5 % ee). An additional S,S-selective binding mode as a hidden specificity in Tyl-KR1 has been identified through molecular modeling and site-directed mutagenesis.  相似文献

A model for interphase precipitation has been developed based on the ledge mechanism of austenite-to-ferrite transformation. Carbide precipitation is considered on the migrating ferrite/austenite interface as an interaction of transformation and precipitation kinetics. The derived equations describe sheet spacing and particle spacing of interphase-precipitated carbides as well as the overall interface velocity which are related to the nucleation rates of carbides and ferrite ledges, respectively. The microstructure characteristics of interphase precipitation are predicted as a function of transformation temperature and steel composition and replicate trends observed experimentally.  相似文献

Biological membranes by virtue of their elastic properties should be capable of propagating localized perturbations analogous to sound waves. However, the existence and the possible role of such waves in communication in biology remain unexplored. Here, we report the first observations of two-dimensional solitary elastic pulses in lipid interfaces, excited mechanically and detected by FRET. We demonstrate that the nonlinearity near a maximum in the susceptibility of the lipid monolayer results in solitary pulses that also have a threshold for excitation. These experiments clearly demonstrate that the state of the interface regulates the propagation of pulses both qualitatively and quantitatively. Finally, we elaborate on the striking similarity of the observed phenomenon to nerve pulse propagation and a thermodynamic basis of cell signalling in general.  相似文献

Cigarette smoke is an aerosol containing a large number of chemicals, including toxicants. In recent years, a number of cigarette filter additives have been evaluated for their toxicant filtration properties. Screening is a useful tool to accelerate the testing and development of new filter additives and filtration mechanisms. The evaluation of a filter material screening technique based on the so‐called InfraSORP technology is described. By comparing InfraSORP measurements with reference cigarette smoke experiments of potential cigarette filter materials like activated carbons and ion‐exchange resin, an excellent correlation is demonstrated. This technique allows for a rapid screening of potential filter materials prior to testing any final candidates in cigarettes.  相似文献
