The correct georeferencing of remote sensing imagery is a fundamental task for orthoimages, digital elevation models (DEMs)/digital surface models (DSMs) generation and 3D feature/object extraction. In this article we focus on the georeferencing of pushbroom sensors imagery, in particular single images collected by EROS A and QuickBird satellites, with a rigorous model that is based on the collinearity equations. The model, implemented in the software SISAR (Software per Immagini Satellitari ad Alta Risoluzione), reconstructs the orbital segment during image acquisition through the Keplerian orbital parameters, the sensor attitude, the internal orientation and additional self-calibration parameters. With respect to the estimation procedure, in order to avoid possible instabilities due to high correlations among some parameters leading to design matrix pseudo-singularity, singular value decomposition (SVD) and QR decomposition are used to select the estimable parameters and finally to solve the extended linearized collinearity equations system in the least square (LS) sense.

To test the effectiveness of the new model, SISAR results are compared with the rigorous model implemented in the well-known commercial software OrthoEngine 10.0 (PCI Geomatics, ON, Canada). In this article six images are concerned (two from EROS A and four from QuickBird), showing that SISAR performances are at the level of the OrthoEngine ones.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel method for robot navigation in dynamic environments, referred to as visibility binary tree algorithm, is introduced. To plan the path of the robot, the algorithm relies on the construction of the set of all complete paths between robot and target taking into account inner and outer visible tangents between robot and circular obstacles. The paths are then used to create a visibility binary tree on top of which an algorithm for shortest path is run. The proposed algorithm is implemented on two simulation scenarios, one of them involving global knowledge of the environment, and the other based on local knowledge of the environment. The performance are compared with three different algorithms for path planning.  相似文献

Video games are a peculiar medium, standing at the crossing point between art and software application, and characterized by an active involvement of its audience. The complexity of the product generates a huge challenge for the companies that develop video games. In the development process, level designers play a crucial role: they are in charge of declining the theoretical framework developed by the game designer into game levels, which contain the actual gameplay scenarios. Hence, the final goal of any level designer is to valorize the game design by creating enjoyable gaming experiences while, at the same time, respecting several constraints. To lighten the burden on level designers, several semi-automated approaches to level generation have appeared in time, but the majority of these tools suffer from several drawbacks. In the present work, we tackle the issue of designing, prototyping and testing FUN PLEdGE, a general-purpose automated levels generator and editor for platform video games. Its main goal is to shrink development time while producing – unassisted – levels that are both playable and fun. Moreover, our tool provides the maximum freedom to the level designer, by avoiding to impose unnecessary constraints on the structure of the levels and by guaranteeing the possibility to modify and personalize by hand the generated levels. During this process, the generator assists the designer by suggesting corrections functional to the quality of the player experience. To prove the effectiveness of our prototypal application we have also developed and tested with players a platform game. In the same vein, we asked to a group of game developers to test FUN PLEdGE.  相似文献

A common application of search-based software testing is to generate test cases for all goals defined by a coverage criterion (e.g., lines, branches, mutants). Rather than generating one test case at a time for each of these goals individually, whole test suite generation optimizes entire test suites towards satisfying all goals at the same time. There is evidence that the overall coverage achieved with this approach is superior to that of targeting individual coverage goals. Nevertheless, there remains some uncertainty on (a) whether the results generalize beyond branch coverage, (b) whether the whole test suite approach might be inferior to a more focused search for some particular coverage goals, and (c) whether generating whole test suites could be optimized by only targeting coverage goals not already covered. In this paper, we perform an in-depth analysis to study these questions. An empirical study on 100 Java classes using three different coverage criteria reveals that indeed there are some testing goals that are only covered by the traditional approach, although their number is only very small in comparison with those which are exclusively covered by the whole test suite approach. We find that keeping an archive of already covered goals along with the tests covering them and focusing the search on uncovered goals overcomes this small drawback on larger classes, leading to an improved overall effectiveness of whole test suite generation.  相似文献

The strategic role of design‐driven innovation is being increasingly recognized. Many studies show that investments in design positively influence the innovative capacity of firms and consequently their competitive performance. However, few researchers have explored how this relationship comes about. The studies that over the years have contributed to the understanding of design have identified two main barriers: the lack of a common language on design, and poor analysis of the dynamics that characterize the relationship between investment in design and competitive performance. In this paper, we investigate six small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) located in the Lombardy region of Italy that have received funding from a policy aimed to develop design innovation capabilities. We identify and discuss five different design innovation capabilities and we analyse their role in mediating the relationship between investment in design and competitive performance.  相似文献

We approximate a given rational spectral density by one that is consistent with prescribed second-order statistics. Such an approximation is obtained by selecting the spectral density having minimum “distance” from under the constraint corresponding to imposing the given second-order statistics. We analyze the structure of the optimal solutions as the minimized “distance” varies in the Alpha divergence family. We show that the corresponding approximation problem leads to a family of rational solutions. Secondly, such a family contains the solution which generalizes the Kullback–Leibler solution proposed by Georgiou and Lindquist in 2003. Finally, numerical simulations suggest that this family contains solutions close to the non-rational solution given by the principle of minimum discrimination information.  相似文献

In this paper using a negative feedback scheme we study the problem of synchronizing two systems (each of them made of n independent chaotic circuits) through the transmission of a unique signal (i.e. a scalar variable). To find the appropriate values of the feedback gains, an approach based on the design of an asymptotic observer leading to a set of linear matrix inequalities is used for piecewise linear systems, while for systems with continuous nonlinearities a master stability function approach is adopted. Numerical results showing the suitability of the approach are reported. Furthermore, the experiment showing separation and synchronization of two pairs of chaotic circuits is discussed. Despite the presence of parameter mismatches, separation and synchronization of the two systems can be achieved. This is an experimental demonstration of the successful possibility of multiplexing two (or more) chaotic signals in the same channel.  相似文献

The effect of blending on the self‐healing behavior of an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer ionomer is investigated. Binary EMNa/EVA and EMNa/ENR blends are studied by ballistic puncture tests. In the composition range explored (15–50 wt% of EVA and ENR), the self‐healing characteristics decrease with increasing amount of EVA but are maintained in the whole range for EMNa/ENR blends. The bullet impact zones were observed using OM. Tensile tests showed that the blending process gives the opportunity to tune the mechanical characteristics without significant loss in the self‐healing properties, particularly in EMNa/ENR blends. Component compatibility, blend morphology and thermal properties were studied using DSC, SEM, and DMTA. Molecular interactions between the phases in the blends are discussed.

Antibody-cytokine fusion proteins (immunocytokines) are gaining importance for cancer therapy, but those products are often limited by systemic toxicity related to the activity of the cytokine payload in circulation and in secondary lymphoid organs. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is used as a pro-inflammatory payload to trigger haemorrhagic necrosis and boost anti-cancer immunity at the tumor site. Here we describe a depotentiated version of TNF (carrying the single point mutation I97A), which displayed reduced binding affinity to its cognate receptor tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR-1) and lower biocidal activity. The fusion of the TNF(I97A) mutant to the L19 antibody promoted restoration of anti-tumor activity upon accumulation on the cognate antigen, the alternatively spliced EDB domain of fibronectin. In vivo administration of high doses (375 μg/Kg) of the fusion protein showed a potent anti-tumor effect without apparent toxicity compared with the wild type protein. L19-TNFI97A holds promise for the targeted delivery of TNF activity to neoplastic lesions, helping spare normal tissues.  相似文献

This paper presents an automatic system for the analysis and classification of atrial fibrillation (AF) patterns from bipolar intracardiac signals. The system is made up of: 1) a feature-extraction module that defines and extracts a set of measures potentially useful for characterizing AF types on the basis of their degree of organization; 2) a feature-selection module (based on the Jeffries-Matusita distance and a branch and bound search algorithm) identifying the best subset of features for discriminating different AF types; and 3) a support vector machine technique-based classification module that automatically discriminates the AF types according to the Wells' criteria. The automatic system was applied on 100 intracardiac AF signal strips and on a selection of 11 representative features, demonstrating: a) the possibility to properly identify the most significant features for the discrimination of AF types; b) higher accuracy (97.7% using the seven most informative features) than the traditional maximum likelihood classifier; and c) effectiveness in AF classification also with few training samples (accuracy = 88.3% with only five training signals). Finally, the system identifies a combination of indices characterizing changes of morphology of atrial activation waves and perturbation of the isoelectric line as the most effective in separating the AF types.  相似文献
