In this paper, we demonstrate efficient modeling approach for simulation, analysis, design, and optimization of multiport radio frequency microelectromechanical systems (RF MEMS) resonating structures embedded in RF circuits. An in‐house finite element method (FEM) solver is utilized to develop accurate and efficient macromodels that capture all the essential characteristics of the device. Using the datasets generated from the FEM simulations, the artificial neural network models are trained for two‐way mapping between the physical input and electrical output parameters. Realized model is implemented in a circuit simulator, enabling a simple yet accurate circuit simulator compatible modeling and optimization procedure instead of memory and time demanding FEM analysis. The derivation of dynamic macromodels with preserved electromechanical behavior of the multiport resonating structures is also presented. Capabilities of the proposed approach are demonstrated with several examples featuring capacitively actuated MEMS resonating structures: a clamped–clamped beam, a free–free beam, and a coupled clamped–clamped beam. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Proteomics analysis of serum from patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) may lead to novel biomarkers for prediction of disease and for patient monitoring. However, the serum proteome is highly sensitive to sample processing and before proteomics biomarker research serum cohorts should preferably be examined for potential bias between sample groups. SELDI‐TOF MS protein profiling was used for preliminary evaluation of a biological‐bank with 766 serum samples from 270 patients with T1D, collected at 18 different paediatric centers representing 15 countries in Europe and Japan over 2 years (2000–2002). Samples collected 1 (n = 270), 6 (n = 248), and 12 (n = 248) months after T1D diagnosis were grouped across centers and compared. The serum protein profiles varied with collection site and day of analysis; however, markers of sample processing were not systematically different between samples collected at different times after diagnosis. Three members of the apolipoprotein family increased with time in patient serum collected 1, 6, and 12 months after diagnosis (ANOVA, p<0.001). These results support the use of this serum cohort for further proteomic studies and illustrate the potential of high‐throughput MALDI/SELDI‐TOF MS protein profiling for evaluation of serum cohorts before proteomics biomarker research. 相似文献

Supporting aggregates in recursive logic rules represents a very important problem for Datalog. To solve this problem, we propose a simple extension, called Datalog $^{FS}\,$ (Datalog extended with frequency support goals), that supports queries and reasoning about the number of distinct variable assignments satisfying given goals, or conjunctions of goals, in rules. This monotonic extension greatly enhances the power of Datalog, while preserving (i) its declarative semantics and (ii) its amenability to efficient implementation via differential fixpoint and other optimization techniques presented in the paper. Thus, Datalog $^{FS}\,$ enables the efficient formulation of queries that could not be expressed efficiently or could not be expressed at all in Datalog with stratified negation and aggregates. In fact, using a generalized notion of multiplicity called frequency, we show that diffusion models and page rank computations can be easily expressed and efficiently implemented using Datalog $^{FS}\,$ . 相似文献

Chemical cleaning of a severe in-pore-fouling may be improved by applying an ultrasound (US) field in a cleaning-in-place (CIP) system, under both the batch and flow conditions. This study is concerned with the cleaning of a 200-nm ceramic membrane, fouled with whey proteins, in an US field of relatively low frequency of 35 kHz, without applying a transmembrane pressure (TMP) and cross-flow velocity. Two types of cleaning agent solutions of different concentrations were applied: alkali (NaOH) and a mixture of commercial detergents (P3-Ultrasil 67 and 69) at a sonication time of 30 min. It was found that the application of US was less effective in the combination with sodium hydroxide than with the mixture of commercial detergents. Using US in a mixture of 0.25% w/w P3-Ultrasil 67 and 0.4% w/w P3-Ultrasil 69 resulted in the highest flux recovery of 86.5 ± 2.9%, after 30 min of sonication, and produced an overall efficiency of 96.3 ± 0.4%, after the second sonication. It was concluded that the application of the US field in a batch mode, combined with the mentioned chemical agents, can significantly improve the cleaning efficiency. 相似文献

Trypsin inhibitors could limit utilization of legumes in human nutrition, but they could also have beneficial health effects. The objective of this study was to measure trypsin inhibitor activity (TIA) of different legumes using microtiter plate method and to identify factors that contribute to uncertainty of TIA measurement. TIA measurements were performed on seeds of faba bean, pea, common vetch, soybean, and common bean cultivars. The significant effect of legume crop on TIA measurement uncertainty was confirmed with P = 0.045. Certain sources of measurement uncertainty were related with the content of trypsin inhibitors (Tis) in legume seeds. In respect to that, significant effect of level of sample dilution (P ? 0.001) was confirmed. Significant influence of the repeated absorbance measurement of sample reaction mixture on uncertainty of TIA measurement was identified (P ? 0.001), and it took 60% of overall TIA measurement uncertainty for soybean cultivars. TIA of soybean cultivars exceeded 90 TUI/mg. Repeated absorbance measurement of positive control reaction mixture took 70% of TIA measurement uncertainty of cultivars with TIA lesser than 4.5 TUI/mg. Graduated cylinder used for preparation of the final sample solutions took the range from 45 to 90% of overall TIA measurement uncertainty of the cultivars whose TIA were in the middle of previously mentioned. The uncertainty of TIA measurement of legume crops was not studied before; thus, this study pointed out that acquiring insight into factors contributing to uncertainty of TIA measurement could give directions for improvement of TIA testing if microtiter plate method is used. 相似文献
