A fibre Bragg grating with a tuning range covering beyond the C- and L-bands has been realised, which represents the broadest tuning range reported of any Bragg grating. The device exhibits constant spectral response and polarisation mode dispersion within these bands.  相似文献

In crack detection and sizing by the alternating current field measurement technique, U-shaped wires or coils excited by a high-frequency AC current source can be used to induce the surface field in the workpiece. The authors present a modeling technique for the interaction of a fatigue crack in a ferromagnetic metal with the surface field resulting from an inducer with two U-shaped wires. This work is an extension of a previous modeling technique to have developed for infinitely long (one-dimensional) cracks. In the present technique, the boundary of the fatigue crack is approximated by a circular arc, leading to a formulation for an efficient computation of the field-flaw interaction. Various numerical and experimental results supporting the modeling and illustrating the behavior of the magnetic field and electric potential at the metal surface around circular-arc cracks are presented  相似文献

We simulate the charge carrier traffic between the energy bands and the interface states in structures like Al/SiO2/6H–SiC, Al/diamond/Si and Al/SIPOS/Si to explain their high frequency capacitance–voltage behavior. The structures have in common that traditional electrical measurement techniques performed at room temperature are prone to thermal non-equilibrium effects. This can result in large errors in the interface data extracted from such studies when thermal equilibrium conditions are assumed. In this work, high frequency capacitance–voltage data are compared to numerical simulations which include such thermal non-equilibrium conditions to enable more accurate estimates of interface state parameters in above-mentioned structures.  相似文献

The modified direct observation method is employed for the determination of the liquidus lines in the (Hg1_xZnx)1_yTey, ternary system. The liquidus temperatures of the ternary samples of various compositions withx from 0.05 to 0.30 andy from 0.5 to 0.9 are measured. On-line diagnosis of the machining operations is essential because it can prevent potential problems caused by abnormal conditions. So far, little research has been done for the on-line diagnosis of tapping operations. However, tapping is a very important machining operation. And the on-line diagnosis is essential. In this work, an artificial neural network was utilized for the diagnosis of the tapping operation. The input vector for the neural network is obtained by processing the signals of the thrust, torque, and lateral forces during the tapping operations. A total of ten indices were used in the input layer of the network. The output of the artificial neural network provides the tapping states. Five different tapping states were investigated: normal operation, tap wear, misalignment, oversize hole, and undersize hole. The weights and thresholds of the artificial neural network can be modified by the generalized delta rule. Experimental results showed that diagnosis of tapping operations through an artificial neural network can reach a success rate of over 95%.  相似文献

The LiPO3-Y(PO3)3 system has been studied for the first time. Microdifferential thermal analysis (μ-DTA), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and X-ray diffraction were used to investigate the liquidus and solidus relations. The only new compound observed within this system is LiY(PO3)4, melting incongruently at 1104 K. An eutectic appears at 4±1 mol% Y(PO3)3 at 933 K. LiY(PO3)4 crystallizes in the monoclinic system C2/c with a unit cell: a=16.201(4) Å, b=7.013(2) Å, c=9.573(2) Å, β=125.589(9)°, Z=4 and V=884.5 Å3, which is isostructural to LiNd(PO3)4. The infrared absorption spectrum indicates that this salt is a chain polyphosphate.  相似文献

Herein a novel Dyadic Green's Function (DGF) is presented to calculate the field in ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) chamber. Due to the difficulty of simulating the whole chamber environment, the analysis combines the DGF formulation and the FEM method, with the latter deals with the reflection from absorbers. With DGF formulation for infinite periodic array structures, this paper investigates electromagnetic field in chamber with truncated arrays. The reflection from the absorber serves as the virtual source contributing to the total field. Hence the whole chamber field calculation can be separated from the work of absorber model set-up. Practically the field homogeneity test and Normal Site Attenuation (NSA) test are carried out to evaluate the chamber performance. Based on the method in this paper, the simulation results agree well with the test, and predict successfully the victim frequency points of the chamber.  相似文献
