Conductive fibers based on polyaniline (PANI) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were obtained by stirring with magnetic bar. This research was conducted to investigate conducting fibers of polyaniline:polyacrylonitrile (PANI:PAN) composite with different weight ratios of aniline in PAN matrix. The fibers were prepared by stirring process. The best conductivity behavior of the fibers was obtained with 5 mL of aniline. The fibers obtained were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectra (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The variation of electrical conductivity with different type doping agents (HCl, H2SO4 and HClO4) and the stability in terms of DC electrical conductivity retention was studied in an oxidative environment by isothermal characteristics.  相似文献

Effect of pH (4.5–7.5) and Ca2+ (0.01–0.5 m ) on gelation of single and mixed systems of 10% β‐lactoglobulin (BLG) and 1% basil seed gum (BSG) was investigated. The gelling point of BLG and BSG gels was strongly pH‐dependent, and stiffer gels formed at higher pH. The BLG gels were formed upon heating to 90 °C and reinforced on cooling to 20 °C; however, the gelation of BSG occurred at temperatures below 70 °C. By increasing Ca2+ concentration, storage modulus of BLG and BSG gels were increased, although pH had a greater effect than Ca2+. In contrast, mixed systems showed two distinct types of behaviour: BLG gel formation and BSG network, suggesting that phase‐separated gels were formed. In addition, higher strength was obtained for BLG‐BSG mixture at higher Ca2+ concentration.  相似文献

The present study examines the applicability of polymer mortar panels using a methyl methacrylate (MMA) solution of waste expanded polystyrene (EPS) to develop effective recycling processes for the EPS, referring to the strength properties of a polymer-impregnated mortar panel with almost the same performance as commercial products. An MMA solution of EPS is prepared by dissolving EPS in MMA, and unreinforced and steel fiber-reinforced polymer mortars are mixed using the EPS-MMA-based solution as a liquid resin or binder. Polymer mortar panels (PMPs) using the EPS-MMA-based polymer mortars without and with steel fiber and crimped wire cloth reinforcements and steel fiber-reinforced polymer-impregnated mortar panel (PIMP) are prepared on trial, and tested for flexural behavior under four-point loading. The EPS-MMA-based PMPs are more ductile than the PIMP, and have a high load-bearing capacity. Consequently, they can replace PIMP in practical applications.  相似文献

This study aims at gaining a better understanding of the microstructural features that control the mechanical and the tribological performances of WC–12 wt.% Co coatings under High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) spraying conditions. This paper looks at the influences of the HVOF process parameters for WC–12Co material on the microstructural and the tribological behaviours of the coatings. The correlation between the coating microstructure and the wear behaviour is investigated by observing and analysing the microstructure and by studying the friction moment using enhanced statistical tool based on neural computations. According to the experimental and the numerical results, it has been shown that the spray parameters affect the phase composition, hardness and porosity of HVOF sprayed WC–12Co coatings and the correlations with HVOF process parameters are fully predictable in the steady-state regime.  相似文献

A new mechanistic approach is used to characterize resistance of polyethylene to deformation and fracture in double-edge-notched tensile test. The new approach considers all three mechanisms involved in the fracture process, i.e. for fracture surface formation, shear plastic deformation, and necking, and can be used to determine values of specific energy consumption for each mechanism. This is different from the conventional approach, known as essential work of fracture (EWF), which does not consider the difference between shear plastic deformation and necking. Results from the new approach for a polyethylene copolymer show that specific energy density for fracture surface formation is about half of that determined from the EWF approach, and specific energy density for necking is very close to that determined from simple tensile test. The latter provides some support for validity of the new approach in characterizing fracture behaviour of polyethylene when accompanied by large deformation and necking. The paper also points out crack growth conditions that have to be met for valid application of the EWF approach and shows that such conditions are not met when deformation and necking occur in polyethylene.  相似文献

The residual compressive strength of concrete containing palm oil fuel ash (POFA) after exposure to elevated temperatures and subsequent cooling was investigated. Specimens from ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and POFA concrete mixes were prepared and subjected to various temperature levels. The POFA concrete contains 20% partial replacement of cement by weight and the temperature levels are; 100, 300, 500 and 800 °C. Two cooling systems which include cooling at room temperature by the natural breeze and water-spray were involved. Compressive strength test was conducted on control specimens as well as concrete specimens revived through the two cooling systems. Physical properties accompanying thermal degradations were also assessed. Residual performance as a ratio of residual strength to original strength was evaluated. The residual performance was found to be higher in POFA concrete than in the normal concrete. In addition, water-cooling was realized to aggravate strength reduction in both normal and POFA concretes when compared with air-cooling. High temperature and cooling system were also found to have great influence on physical properties, such as; mass loss, discolouration and crack patterns.  相似文献

Prediction of corporate bankruptcy is a phenomenon of increasing interest to investors/creditors, borrowing firms, and governments alike. Timely identification of firms’ impending failure is indeed desirable. By this time, several methods have been used for predicting bankruptcy but some of them suffer from underlying shortcomings. In recent years, Genetic Programming (GP) has reached great attention in academic and empirical fields for efficient solving high complex problems. GP is a technique for programming computers by means of natural selection. It is a variant of the genetic algorithm, which is based on the concept of adaptive survival in natural organisms. In this study, we investigated application of GP for bankruptcy prediction modeling. GP was applied to classify 144 bankrupt and non-bankrupt Iranian firms listed in Tehran stock exchange (TSE). Then a multiple discriminant analysis (MDA) was used to benchmarking GP model. Genetic model achieved 94% and 90% accuracy rates in training and holdout samples, respectively; while MDA model achieved only 77% and 73% accuracy rates in training and holdout samples, respectively. McNemar test showed that GP approach outperforms MDA to the problem of corporate bankruptcy prediction.  相似文献
