The performance of cyber physical system–based smart wireless networks depends on effective channel access by reducing the blocking, the dropping probability, and collisions. The aim of this proposed algorithm is to reduce the collisions in cyber physical system–based smart wireless networks. In this paper, multilevel medium access control in cyber physical system–based smart wireless networks is proposed. The optimal number of levels of gateways is determined using the concept of learning automata. Priority and time limit are assigned to every packet that is being transmitted. The proposed algorithm is evaluated and compared with two‐level medium access control in cyber physical system–based smart wireless networks, which is referred as priority with counter modified backoff (PCMB). The parameters used for evaluating the performance are throughput, delay, % of collisions, and number of packets dropped. The results project that the proposed algorithm accomplishes improved performance than PCMB.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of finite-time stability for a class of fractional-order Cohen–Grossberg BAM neural networks with time delays is investigated. Using some inequality techniques, differential mean value theorem and contraction mapping principle, sufficient conditions are presented to ensure the finite-time stability of such fractional-order neural models. Finally, a numerical example and simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the derived theoretical results.

Antimicrobial packaging could enhance food storage life and safety. An antimicrobial moiety that is permanently bound to the polymer surface and does not leach has particular appeal. The use of 193 nm UV irradiation to convert amide groups on the surface of nylon to amines having antimicrobial activity has been reported previously. We prepared materials accordingly and explored their mode of action and activity against pathogens. Three food related bacterial strains, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Enterococcus faecalis were exposed to antimicrobial film in 0.2 M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.0). Samples were held shaken at 100 r.p.m. in a 25°C incubator. The antimicrobial film was effective in reduction of microbial concentration in the bulk fluid for all food-related bacteria tested. The effectiveness was dependent on the bacterial strain. Adsorption of bacterial cells diminished the effectiveness of amine groups. Experimental results indicate that the decrease in concentration of bacterial cells in bulk fluid is more likely to be the bactericidal action than adsorption of live cells. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents the operational characteristics of a double-stage double-effect metal hydride heat pump (DSDE-MHHP) working with LaNi4.1Al0.52Mn0.38/LmNi4.91Sn0.15/Ti0.99Zr0.01V0.43Fe0.09Cr0.05Mn1.5 as high/medium/low temperature alloys. The performances of the DSDE-MHHP are predicted by solving the transient, two-dimensional, conjugate heat and mass transfer characteristics between the paired metal hydride reactors of cylindrical configuration using the finite volume method (FVM). The designed operating temperatures chosen for the present analysis are 568, 361, 296, and 289 K as heat driven (TD), heat rejection (TH), heat sink (TM) and refrigeration (TC) temperatures, respectively. The variations in hydrogen concentrations, hydride equilibrium pressures, and temperatures within the hydride beds, and the heat exchange between the hydride beds with the heat transfer fluids are presented for a complete cycle. The operating cycle of a DSDE-MHHP is explained on dynamic pressure–concentration–temperature (PCT) plot. The variation of temperatures in the reactors during hydriding and dehydriding processes is compared with experimental data and a good agreement was observed between them. For given operating temperatures of 568/361/296/289 K, the average coefficient of performance (COP) and the specific cooling power (SCP) of the system are found to be 0.471 and 28.4 W/kg of total hydride mass, respectively.  相似文献

In this article, a textile-based strain sensor has been developed by in situ polymerization of aniline on nylon Lycra fabric. The tensile and repeatability characteristics of the nylon Lycra fabric were studied in Zwick/Roell Z010 tester to analyze the suitability of the fabric for sensor development. After polyaniline coating, the control and coated fabrics have been characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray. The change in electrical resistance for the applied strain was studied to analyze the strain sensing behavior of the polyaniline-coated nylon Lycra fabric. From tensile and repeatability study, it was observed that the conditioning cycles are necessary for the nylon Lycra fabric before taking actual measurements in order to improve the stability of the sensor response. The developed fabric had the electrical resistance of 3.5 KΩ/square. The electrical resistance of the developed PANI-coated fabric decreases as the sample is strained and increases again as the strain is relaxed. The measurement of the conductivity change with strain shows that the developed fabric exhibits high strain sensitivity. When used in conjunction with a commercial goniometer, the polyaniline-coated nylon Lycra fabric responded well to the magnitude of bending deformations, demonstrating potential for remote the strain sensing applications.  相似文献

The surface-modified Strychnos potatorum seeds (SMSP) were used as an effective low-cost adsorbent for the removal of cadmium ions from aqueous solution. SMSP was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopic analyses. The effect of operating variables such as solution pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial cadmium ions concentration and temperature on the removal of cadmium ions were studied in a batch mode adsorption operation. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of cadmium ions onto the SMSP were found to be: pH of 5.0, SMSP dose of 2 g/L, contact time of 30min, temperature of 30 °C for an initial cadmium ions concentration of 100 mg/L. Kinetic data were analyzed using the pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order kinetic equations, intraparticle diffusion model, Boyd kinetic model and shrinking core model. The characteristic parameters for each model have been estimated. Adsorption of cadmium ions onto the SMSP follows the pseudo-second order kinetic model. The rate-limiting steps in the adsorption process were found to be external and internal diffusion. Equilibrium data were well described by the Langmuir isotherm model than the Freundlich isotherm model, which yields a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 200 mg/g. Thermodynamic parameters such as standard free energy change, enthalpy change and entropy change were also estimated. The results show that the removal of cadmium ions by the SMSP was found to be spontaneous and exothermic.  相似文献

In this paper, the operating feasibility of a single-stage metal based hydride heat pump (SS-MHHP) working on the principle of crossed van't Hoff line concept is presented. The performance of the system is predicted by solving the unsteady, two-dimensional mathematical model in an annular cylindrical configuration employing two different hydride alloy pairs, namely, V0.846Ti0.104Fe0.05/Fe0.9Mn0.1Ti and V0.855Ti0.095Fe0.05/MmNi4.7Al0.3 (regeneration alloy/refrigeration alloy). The influences of heat source (TH) and refrigeration (TC) temperatures on the amount of hydrogen transferred between the paired reactors, coefficient of performance (COP) and specific cooling power (SCP) of the crossed van't Hoff SS-MHHP system are studied. Within the selected ranges of operating temperatures, the COP of the crossed van't Hoff SS-MHHP is about 60% higher than the conventional single-stage MHHP. The optimum operating temperatures of V0.846Ti0.104Fe0.05/Fe0.9Mn0.1Ti and V0.855Ti0.095Fe0.05/MmNi4.7Al0.3 combinations are found to be 373/303/291 K and 400/303/283 K (heat source/heat sink/refrigeration temperatures), respectively. At the optimum operating temperatures, the COP and SCP of the V0.846Ti0.104Fe0.05/Fe0.9Mn0.1Ti and V0.855Ti0.095Fe0.05/MmNi4.7Al0.3 combinations are 0.89 and 30.8 W/kg of total mass and 0.86 and 30.3 W/kg of total mass, respectively.  相似文献

Ta/Au ohmic contacts are fabricated on n-type ZnO (∼1 × 1017 cm−3) epilayers, which were grown on R-plane sapphire substrates by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). After growth and metallization, the samples are annealed at 300°C and 500°C for 30 sec in nitrogen ambient. The specific contact resistance is measured to be 3.2×10−4 Ωcm2 for the as-deposited samples. It reduces to 5.4×10−6 Ωcm2 after annealing at 300°C for 30 sec without significant surface morphology degradation. When the sample is annealed at 500°C for 30 sec, the specific contact resistance increases to 3.3 × 10−5 Ωcm2. The layer structures no longer exist due to strong Au and Ta in-diffusion and O out-diffusion. The contact surface becomes rough and textured.  相似文献
