The effects of fat crystallization induced by thermal treatment on the rheological properties of creams and physical phenomena at the oil droplet surfaces were investigated. Creams A or B were prepared from commercial proprietary fats A or B (vegetable oils with different triaclyglycerol composition) and aqueous solution containing proteins. Thermal treatment of the creams at the “critical temperatures” (temperatures inducing a small percentage of solid fats in the oil droplets) caused a rapid increase of solid fat contents in the following cooling process. The thermal treatment of cream B at the “critical temperature” caused an increase of viscosity of the cream and an increase of protein surface coverage during the subsequent cooling process. These results suggest that the oil droplet aggregation induced by the thermal treatment at the “critical temperature” and the subsequent cooling occurred via further adsorption of proteins. Electron spin resonance measurement demonstrated the dramatic reduction of fluidity of triacylglycerol molecules at the oil droplet surface in cream B during the cooling process after thermal treatment at temperatures below “critical”. Based on these results, we speculated on the mechanism for the destabilization of thermally treated creams during the cooling process.  相似文献

A 30 frames/s 2/3-in 1.3 M-pixel progressive scan interline-transfer charge-coupled device (IT-CCD) image sensor has been developed for video and digital still-camera applications. To obtain high frame-rate images, a 49-MHz driving horizontal CCD (H-CCD) was developed. An 8-phase drive for vertical CCDs (V-CCDs) makes it possible to operate in a variety of modes, such as 1050 line progressive scan mode and 1049 line wide dynamic range interlaced scan mode. For digital still camera use, removing residual charges stored in the V-CCDs before exposure is essential, therefore new narrow-channel barrier over-flow drain (NCB-OFD) attached under the H-CCD was developed. Selenium-binding protein 1 (Selenbp1) is a 2,3,7,8-tetrechlorodibenzo-p-dioxin inducible protein whose function is yet to be comprehensively elucidated. As the highly homologous isoform, Selenbp2, is expressed at low levels in the kidney, it is worthwhile comparing wild-type C57BL mice and Selenbp1-deficient mice under dioxin-free conditions. Accordingly, we conducted a mouse metabolomics analysis under non-dioxin-treated conditions. DNA microarray analysis was performed based on observed changes in lipid metabolism-related factors. The results showed fluctuations in the expression of numerous genes. Real-time RT-PCR confirmed the decreased expression levels of the cytochrome P450 4a (Cyp4a) subfamily, known to be involved in fatty acid ω- and ω-1 hydroxylation. Furthermore, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (Pparα) and retinoid-X-receptor-α (Rxrα), which form a heterodimer with Pparα to promote gene expression, were simultaneously reduced. This indicated that reduced Cyp4a expression was mediated via decreased Pparα and Rxrα. In line with this finding, increased levels of leukotrienes and prostaglandins were detected. Conversely, decreased hydrogen peroxide levels and reduced superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity supported the suppression of the renal expression of Sod1 and Sod2 in Selenbp1-deficient mice. Therefore, we infer that ablation of Selenbp1 elicits oxidative stress caused by increased levels of superoxide anions, which alters lipid metabolism via the Pparα pathway.  相似文献

Fatigue crack growth test of AZ61 magnesium alloy was carried out under immersed NaCl environment at frequencies of 15, 5 and 0.5 Hz under a stress ratio of 0.1. In order to investigate the effect of frequency on fatigue crack growth behavior in detail, additional tests at frequencies ranged from 15 to 0.01 Hz were conducted under a constant ΔK of 3.25 MPa m1/2. Effect of frequency was clearly observed in low ΔK region, where fatigue crack growth rate decreased with decreasing frequency. Crack closure would be a dominant factor for the frequency effect observed under immersed NaCl environment at frequencies ranged from 15 to 0.5 Hz. However, fatigue crack growth rates at frequencies lower than 0.05 Hz were higher than those at frequencies higher than 0.5 Hz. The accelerated fatigue crack growth rates at frequencies lower than 0.05 Hz would be attributed to the corrosion attack at the crack tip.  相似文献

Construction of the first Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) in Japan employing a reinforced concrete containment vessel (RCCV) was started in 1991. As RCCV itself is the first structure of its kind in Japan, thorough verification tests have been performed. This paper presents the results of simulation analysis of the Top Slab partial model of the RCCV subjected to internal pressure beyond design load. The Top Slab portion is complicated, being composed of a flat Top Slab, cylindrical wall and fuel pool girders, that its simulation analysis requires the evaluation of nonlinear structural behavior of reinforced concrete members due to membrane, bending and shear forces. This paper reports that Finite Element analysis with 3-D solid elements has given a good quantitative agreement between experimental and analysis results with respect to deformation, failure load and each nonlinear behavior.  相似文献

New methods are studied that can suppress EMI noises, especially the common-mode current produced in motor drive systems. One is a packaging technique that forms power converters using a four-layer printed power circuit board. The other is a method based on the generation mechanism of the common-mode current which was developed from experimental analyses. It is proved by experiments that the former can effectively control the common-mode current, including radiated emissions, and the latter can suppress it without any compensators between the inverter and the motor  相似文献

PURPOSE: We evaluated the safety of indocyanine green for use in fundus angiography. METHODS: We sent a questionnaire concerning complications of indocyanine green to 32 institutions in Japan, which were selected on the basis of the client list from the Topcon Company, which manufactures the indocyanine green fundus camera. RESULTS: Ophthalmologists at 15 institutions responded, reporting a total of 3,774 indocyanine green angiograms performed on 2,820 patients between June 1984 and September 1992. Before angiography, intradermal or intravenous indocyanine green testing, or both was performed at 13 of 15 institutions. For three patients, the decision was made not to proceed with angiography after positive preangiographic testing. The dosage of indocyanine green used for angiography varied from 25 to 75 mg, depending upon the institution. There were 13 cases of adverse reactions (0.34%), ten of which were mild reactions such as nausea, exanthema, urtication, itchiness, and urgency to defecate, and did not require treatment. Also recorded were one case of pain of the vein, which required treatment, and two cases of hypotension. The two hypotensive patients required treatment for shock. CONCLUSIONS: A comparison of frequency of adverse reactions to indocyanine green with the previously reported frequency of such reactions to fluorescein sodium indicated that indocyanine green is a safe as fluorescein for use in angiography.  相似文献

A new type of electric vehicle drive system, which has independently driven front and rear wheels, is proposed. This structure can distribute the driving and braking torque according to running and load conditions, and provides a fail-safe effect. Moreover, it is possible to improve drivability, steering ability, and stability while running and braking by arranging a permanent magnet synchronous motor and an induction motor for driving the front and rear wheels, respectively. These are important functions for an urban car to easily cope with common situations such as traffic jams and starting and stopping operations, and the special situation of failure of the motor drive system while running on city routes. The functions are verified through simulations and experiments with the bench test equipment equivalent to the actual system.  相似文献

We report the results of a nationwide survey of commonly used human and veterinary antibiotics (7 sulfonamides, trimethoprim, and 4 macrolides) in 37 Japanese rivers. Concentrations of the sum of the 12 target antibiotics ranged from undetectable to 626 ng/L, with a median of 7.3 ng/L for the 37 rivers. Antibiotics concentrations were higher in urban rivers than in rural rivers and were correlated with those of molecular markers of sewage (crotamiton and carbamazepine). Macrolides were dominant over sulfonamides in urban rivers. Sulfonamides, especially sulfamethazine (used in animals), were dominant in a few rivers in whose catchment animal husbandry is active. However, these signals of veterinary antibiotics were overwhelmed by those of human antibiotics in lower reaches of most rivers. The analysis of the antibiotics in all 88 samples showed that the target antibiotics in Japanese rivers are derived mainly from urban sewage, even though larger amounts of antibiotics are used in livestock. Most of the livestock waste-derived antibiotics are unlikely to be readily discharged to surface waters.  相似文献
