Edible mushrooms contain considerable amounts of the potent natural antioxidant 2‐thiol‐l ‐histidine‐betaine (l ‐ergothioneine, ESH). The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of extraction solvents, common cooking methods and storage conditions on the ESH content, total phenols (TPs) and antioxidant capacity of the edible mushroom Flammulina velutipes fruiting body and its hot water extract that had been stored at different temperatures. Regarding cooking procedures, boiling in water resulted in the highest losses of antioxidant activity of both ESH and TPs. Most of the losses of ESH and TPs were detected in the cooking water. The ESH contents in the raw mushroom fruiting bodies significantly decreased after 8 days of refrigerated storage under both dark and fluorescent lighting conditions. However, the TP content in the raw mushroom stored under fluorescent lighting significantly increased during 10 days of refrigeration. In contrast, the ESH and TP contents as well as DPPH radical scavenging ability of the fruiting bodies remained unchanged for up to 15 days of frozen storage at ?18 °C. The same behaviour was obtained with the mushroom extract packed in plastic tubes. The correlation between DPPH radical scavenging activity and ESH contents was higher than that for TP compounds. 相似文献

A new experimental apparatus, based on the laser-induced capillary wave method involving the use of a pulsed carbon dioxide laser (wavelength 10.6 m, pulse width 50 ns, power 65 mJ) as a heating source has been developed. Since the present technique is applicable to a wide range of viscosity, this method is applicable to the process in which the viscosity drastically changes within a short period of time. In this method, interfering laser beams heat a liquid surface and generate a capillary wave (the wavelength can be adjusted from 20 to 200 m) caused by a spatially sinusoidal temperature distribution. The temporal behavior of the capillary wave is detected by a diffracted probe beam (He–Ne laser, 15 mW) at the heated area. The dynamics of the capillary wave provide information regarding thermophysical properties such as viscosity and surface tension. In the present study, several liquid samples spanning the viscosity range from 0.33 to 7080 MPa·s (e.g., acetone, toluene, 1-hexanol, ethylene glycol, JS1000, and JS14000) were investigated at room temperature. The detected signals for several liquid samples exhibiting a wide range of viscosity agree well with theoretical calculations, taking into account the influence of the distribution of surface tension. 相似文献

In the past decade it has been suggested that the isotopic enrichment of 28-silicon enhances its thermal properties. Thus, 28-silicon is suitable as a heat sink in large-scale integrated circuits. Although some studies have focused on the measurement of isotopically enriched silicon's thermal properties, accurate experimental data are not sufficient because of this material's high conductivity and large heat capacity which make measurement difficult. However, the dynamic grating radiometry (DGR) method has been successfully developed to measure the thermal diffusivity of 28-silicon. In the DGR method, the sample is heated by interference of two pulsed laser beams, and the temperature decay is monitored by an infrared detector. By analyzing the temperature changes of the peaks and valleys of the thermal grating, the thermal diffusivities parallel and perpendicular to the sample surface are obtained simultaneously. In this paper, the optimum conditions of the experimental setup for measuring isotopically enriched silicon are discussed. The comparison of thermal diffusivities between 28-silicon and natural silicon (with a thickness of about 100m) is presented, and the applicability of DGR to isotope engineering is reported. 相似文献

Accumulating data indicates that certain microRNAs (miRNAs or miRs) are differently expressed in samples of tumors and paired non-tumorous samples taken from the same patients with colorectal tumors. We examined the expression of onco-related miRNAs in 131 sporadic exophytic adenomas or early cancers and in 52 sporadic flat elevated adenomas or early cancers to clarify the relationship between the expression of the miRNAs and the endoscopic morphological appearance of the colorectal tumors. The expression levels of miR-143, -145, and -34a were significantly reduced in most of the exophytic tumors compared with those in the flat elevated ones. In type 2 cancers, the miRNA expression profile was very similar to that of the exophytic tumors. The expression levels of miR-7 and -21 were significantly up-regulated in some flat elevated adenomas compared with those in exophytic adenomas. In contrast, in most of the miR-143 and -145 down-regulated cases of the adenoma-carcinoma sequence and in some of the de novo types of carcinoma, the up-regulation of oncogenic miR-7 and/or -21 contributed to the triggering mechanism leading to the carcinogenetic process. These findings indicated that the expression of onco-related miRNA was associated with the morphological appearance of colorectal tumors. 相似文献

The tunneling abstraction reaction: H+H2H2+H in -irradiated solid hydrogen has been studied using electron spin resonance (ESR) and electron-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) spectroscopy and gas-chromatography. The rate constant for the tunneling reaction in solid hydrogen was found to decrease with the increase in the concentration of ortho-H2 molecules in solid hydrogen. We concluded that the decrease in the rate constant is due to the energy level mismatching between reactant species of H+H2 trapped and product species of H2+H trapped in the reverse induced by inhomogeneous intermolecular interactions between ortho-H2 molecules in solid hydrogen. Thermal cis–trans conversion has been examined in oligothiophene single molecules encapsulated in the molecular vessels of cyclodextrin and Na-mordenite. At high temperatures, optical absorption intensities are enhanced in bithiophene, terthiophene and quinquethiophene, while the intensity of quarterthiophene is temperature independent. The authors have shown that special formulations are required to give complete covering of steel surface (with no swelling, break away, cracks, etc) with flame sprayed film coating of epoxy resin.
