View interpolation has been explored in the scientific community as a means to avoid the complexity of full 3D in the construction of photo-realistic interactive scenarios. EVENTS project attempts to apply state of the art view interpolation to the field of professional sports. The aim is to populate a wide scenario such as a stadium with a number of cameras and, via computer vision, to produce photo-realistic moving or static images from virtual viewpoints, i.e where there is no physical camera. EVENTS proposes an innovative view interpolation scheme based on the Joint View Triangulation algorithm developed by the project participants. Joint View Triangulation is combined within the EVENTS framework with new initiatives in the field of multiple view layered representation, automatic seed matching, image-based rendering, tracking occluding layers and constrained scene analysis. The computer vision software has been implemented on top of a novel high performance computing platform with the aim to achieve real-time interpolation.  相似文献

Objective: The purpose of this research study was to develop, optimize, and characterize dasatinib loaded polyethylene glycol (PEG) stabilized chitosan capped gold nanoparticles (DSB-PEG-Ch-GNPs).

Methods: Gold (III) chloride hydrate was reduced with chitosan and the resulting nanoparticles were coated with thiol-terminated PEG and loaded with dasatinib (DSB). Plackett–Burman design (PBD) followed by Box–Behnken experimental design (BBD) were employed to optimize the process parameters. Polynomial equations, contour, and 3D response surface plots were generated to relate the factors and responses. The optimized DSB-PEG-Ch-GNPs were characterized by FTIR, XRD, HR-SEM, EDX, TEM, SAED, AFM, DLS, and ZP.

Results: The results of the optimized DSB-PEG-Ch-GNPs showed particle size (PS) of 24.39?±?1.82?nm, apparent drug content (ADC) of 72.06?±?0.86%, and zeta potential (ZP) of ?13.91?±?1.21?mV. The responses observed and the predicted values of the optimized process were found to be close. The shape and surface morphology studies showed that the resulting DSB-PEG-Ch-GNPs were spherical and smooth. The stability and in vitro drug release studies confirmed that the optimized formulation was stable at different conditions of storage and exhibited a sustained drug release of the drug of up to 76% in 48?h and followed Korsmeyer–Peppas release kinetic model.

Conclusions: A process for preparing gold nanoparticles using chitosan, anchoring PEG to the particle surface, and entrapping dasatinib in the chitosan-PEG surface corona was optimized.  相似文献

In this article, we propose a customized pulse coupled neural network for image segmentation to detect the different classes of skin lesions by minimizing the number of pixels as image harmonics. In addition, we have used a distribution similar to primary visual cortex for internal activation function. This helps in transforming the visual behavior of the cortex. The developed neural synchrony of adaptive pulse coupled neural network helps in classifying the lesion patterns in dermoscopy images. We evaluate our proposed approach on 240 gold standard dermofit images of lesions. Our results have shown significant improvement in the accuracy and efficiency when compared with existing methods.  相似文献

Gas holdup and surface‐liquid mass transfer rate in a bubble column have been experimentally investigated. De‐mineralized water, 0.5 and 1.0% aqueous solutions of carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC), and 60% aqueous propylene glycol have been used as the test liquids. Effects of column diameter, liquid height to column diameter ratio, superficial gas velocity and liquid phase viscosity on gas holdup and mass transfer rate are studied. Generalized correlations for the average gas holdup and wall to liquid heat and mass transfer coefficients are proposed. These are valid for both Newtonian and pseudoplastic non‐Newtonian fluids.  相似文献

Static or motionless mixers have received wide application in chemical and allied industries due to their low cost and high efficiency. The pressure drop and mixing behaviour of such mixers have been widely studied. However, the available information for non‐Newtonian fluids is scanty. The results of pressure drop and mixing studies conducted with a locally made motionless mixer (MALAVIYA mixer) and four non‐Newtonian fluids—aq. CMC, PVA, and PEG solutions are reported in this article. The new mixer causes less pressure drop compared to some of the commercial mixers. Mixing behaviour of the unit is more closer to plug flow and a two‐parameter model correlates the dispersion data.  相似文献

A rapid method for characterizing proteolysis in different cheese varieties was developed using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-ToF-MS). pH 4.6-soluble extracts of different cheese varieties were sub-fractionated using ethanol and 70% ethanol-soluble extracts were analyzed using MALDI-ToF-MS. Sample analysis time was ∼3 min compared to ∼100 min for reversed-phase HPLC; moreover, the method yielded accurate molecular masses of peptides originating as a result of proteolysis. Small peptides (<3500 m/z) were monitored and data for relative intensities of peptides were analyzed using multidimensional scaling (MDS) to demonstrate the similarity between profiles obtained from different cheese varieties. The similarities between the profiles of MALDI-ToF mass spectra were demonstrated in a two-dimensional space by performing MDS on the similarity matrix. Use of MALDI-ToF-MS is thus a fast and effective method for monitoring small peptides produced in cheese as a result of proteolysis.  相似文献

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have brought great momentum to the non-invasive liquid biopsy procedure for the detection, characterization, and monitoring of cancer. Despite the common use of PSA (prostate-specific antigen) as a biomarker for prostate cancer, there is an unmet need for a more specific diagnostic tool to detect tumor progression and recurrence. Exosomes, which are EVs that are released from all cells, play a large role in physiology and pathology, including cancer. They are involved in intercellular communication, immune function, and they are present in every bodily fluid studied—making them an excellent window into how cells are operating. With liquid biopsy, EVs can be isolated and analyzed, enabling an insight into a potential therapeutic value, serving as a vehicle for drugs or nucleic acids that have anti-neoplastic effects. The current application of advanced technology also points to higher-sensitivity detection methods that are minimally invasive. In this review, we discuss the current understanding of the significance of exosomes in prostate cancer and the potential diagnostic value of these EVs in disease progression.  相似文献
