Square-root-domain (SRD) CMOS analog realization of a single cell architecture of the complex Temporal Derivative Cellular Neural Networks (TDCNNs) is introduced in this paper. TDCNN initiates time derivative ‘diffusion’ between CNN cells for non-separable spatiotemporal filtering applications, where the input to the CNN is an image that changes over time. The evaluation of the performance of the complex SRD TDCNN cell has been done using the Cadence Orcad software with TSMC 0.18-μm CMOS process model parameters. This study has been carried out to forecast the impact of global warming on the precipitation pattern of Saudi Arabia by the end of year 2100. Simulation has been done using EdGCM model software (with available 8×10 resolution) developed at Columbia University on which there have been produced global precipitation maps for the seasonal and annual averages for the last 5 years (2096–2100). For each map, EdGCM grid values surrounding Saudi Arabia are used as input to one of the tools of Eagle point software called surface modelling (SM). SM is a new approach for downscaling global climate model results. SM software modelled out isohyets at 0.2 mm/day interval. The results indicate that the present pattern of precipitation (more in winter and less in summer) is going to change by almost equal occurrence of precipitation in all seasons for double_CO2 (2CO2) experiment. The 2CO2 experiment indicates an increase of about 16.05% over the annual average precipitation across the country. 相似文献

Public Private Partnership (PPP) employs private sector expertise and skill to provide public goods and services. We examine three community PPP projects to identify critical success factors of the project outcomes. Two conclusions particularly stand out: first, the project must be aligned with both the public and private parties' business and service plans, and second, appropriate management structures and procedures must be established for obtaining this alignment. The latter effect recognizes the need to implement appropriate project governance practices including management discipline and expertise. We investigate these ideas further and present specific guidelines for PPP project design and implementation. 相似文献

The main challenge in the deposition of molybdenum thin films for high efficiency in copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) modules lies in gaining an adherent coating without compromising conductivity and reflectance characteristics. In this study, Mo thin films were deposited on soda-lime glass by DC magnetron sputtering at different deposition power (55, 100, 200 and 300 W) and with high working gas pressure (2 and 4 Pa). Analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Hall effect were employed to analyze the structure, morphology and electrical resistivity of the deposited films. Ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectrometry was performed to measure the reflectance and a cross-hatch adhesion tape test was employed to determine the adhesion behavior of deposited films. With higher sputtering power and reduced gas pressure, an increase in the crystallite size of the deposited films was observed. Films deposited at higher gas pressure were found with tensile stresses and higher adhesion with the substrate. The van der Pauw method reveals an increase in conductivity at high power and low gas pressure. Improved reflectance was achieved at moderate sputtering power and low gas pressure. 相似文献

Graphite is used in high-temperature gas-cooled reactors because of its outstanding irradiation performance and corrosion resistance. To restrict its high-temperature (>873 K) oxidation, atmospheric-plasma-sprayed SiC-ZrB2-Al2O3-carbon nanotube (CNT) dual-layer coating was deposited on graphite substrate in this work. The effect of each layer was isolated by processing each component of the coating via spark plasma sintering followed by isothermal kinetic studies. Based on isothermal analysis and the presence of high residual thermal stress in the oxide scale, degradation appeared to be more severe in composites reinforced with CNTs. To avoid the complexity of analysis of composites, the high-temperature activation energy for oxidation was calculated for the single-phase materials only, yielding values of 11.8, 20.5, 43.5, and 4.5 kJ/mol for graphite, SiC, ZrB2, and CNT, respectively, with increased thermal stability for ZrB2 and SiC. These results were then used to evaluate the oxidation rate for the composites analytically. This study has broad implications for wider use of dual-layer (SiC-ZrB2/Al2O3) coatings for protecting graphite crucibles even at temperatures above 1073 K. 相似文献

Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) are aggressive diseases with a dismal patient prognosis. Despite significant advances in treatment modalities, the five-year survival rate in patients with HNSCC has improved marginally and therefore warrants a comprehensive understanding of the HNSCC biology. Alterations in the cellular and non-cellular components of the HNSCC tumor micro-environment (TME) play a critical role in regulating many hallmarks of cancer development including evasion of apoptosis, activation of invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis, response to therapy, immune escape mechanisms, deregulation of energetics, and therefore the development of an overall aggressive HNSCC phenotype. Cytokines and chemokines are small secretory proteins produced by neoplastic or stromal cells, controlling complex and dynamic cell–cell interactions in the TME to regulate many cancer hallmarks. This review summarizes the current understanding of the complex cytokine/chemokine networks in the HNSCC TME, their role in activating diverse signaling pathways and promoting tumor progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance development. 相似文献
