Phase-change optical memories are based on the astonishingly rapid nanosecond-scale crystallization of nanosized amorphous 'marks' in a polycrystalline layer. Models of crystallization exist for the commercially used phase-change alloy Ge(2)Sb(2)Te(5) (GST), but not for the equally important class of Sb-Te-based alloys. We have combined X-ray diffraction, extended X-ray absorption fine structure and hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy experiments with density functional simulations to determine the crystalline and amorphous structures of Ag(3.5)In(3.8)Sb(75.0)Te(17.7) (AIST) and how they differ from GST. The structure of amorphous (a-) AIST shows a range of atomic ring sizes, whereas a-GST shows mainly small rings and cavities. The local environment of Sb in both forms of AIST is a distorted 3+3 octahedron. These structures suggest a bond-interchange model, where a sequence of small displacements of Sb atoms accompanied by interchanges of short and long bonds is the origin of the rapid crystallization of a-AIST. We confirmed the defect detection performances of the remote field eddy current testing (RFECT) in order to inspect the helical-coil-type double wall tube steam generator (DWTSG) with the wire mesh layer for the new small fast reactor 4S (Super-Safe, Small and Simple). As the high sensitivity techniques, we tried to increase the direct magnetic field intensity in the vicinity of the inner wall of the tube and decrease the direct magnetic field around the central axis of the tube using the exciter coil with the flux guide made of the iron–nickel alloy. We adopted the horizontal type multiple detector coils with the flux guides arrayed circumferentially to enhance the sensitivity of the radial component. According to the experimental results, the output voltage of the detector coil in the region of indirect magnetic field increased more than 100 times by the application of the exciter and detector coils with the flux guides. Finally, we were able to detect the small hole defect of 1 mm in diameter and 20% of the outer tube thickness in depth over the wire mesh layer by the adoption of the exciter coil and horizontal type multiple detector coils with the flux guides. We also confirmed that the RFECT probe is useful for detecting thinning defects. These experimental results indicated that there is the possibility that we can inspect the double wall tube with the wire mesh layer using the RFECT. 相似文献

This paper describes experiences and present status of research and development works for the high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) fuel in Japan. Recently, Very High Temperature Reactor (VHTR) is evaluated highly worldwide, and is a principal candidate for the Generation IV reactor systems. In Japan, HTGR fuel fabrication technologies have been developed through the High Temperature Engineering Test Reactor (HTTR) project in Japan Atomic Energy Agency since 1960’s. In total about 2 tons of uranium of the HTTR fuel has been fabricated successfully and its excellent quality has been confirmed through the long-term high temperature operation. Based on the HTTR fuel technologies, SiC TRISO fuel has been newly developed for burnup extension targeted VHTR. For ZrC-TRISO coated fuel as an advanced fuel designs, R&Ds for fabrication and inspection have been carried out in JAEA. The irradiation with the Japanese uniform stoichiometric ZrC coating has been completed in the cooperation with Oak Ridge National Laboratory of the United States. 相似文献

The effects of two different halogen dopants (bromine and iodine) at different concentrations on the higher frequency modes (the so-called G and G′ bands) of the Raman spectra of double-wall carbon nanotube (DWCNT) “buckypaper” are investigated. The effects of dopants on different DWCNT configurations (metallic inner/semiconducting outer and vice versa) are studied by changing the laser excitation energy. The doping causes the loss of the Breit–Wigner–Fano line shape and the appearance of less metallic behavior. An increase of the relative intensity of the G+ band, which is more sensitive for the outer metallic tubes, is clearly observed with increasing Br2 concentration in the sample. By analysis of the G+ band and the G′ band it is possible to measure the changes in the electron–phonon coupling, due to the charge-transfer between the dopant (Br2 or I2) and the tubes in the DWCNT. The doping effect causes an upshift of the G+ band and a suppression of the contribution of the inner tubes to the G′ band signal and as a consequence, the observed G′ band is dominated by the contribution from the outer tubes. 相似文献

Positioning of things, devices and people is the fundamental technology in ubiquitous computing. However, few literature has discussed the impact of positioning errors due to localization algorithm properties such as ranging noise and deployment of anchors on people’s identification of objects. Since several factors such as relative distance, relative angles and grouping of objects are intricately related with each other in such identification, it is not an easy task to investigate its characteristics. In this paper, we propose criteria to assess the “accuracy” of the estimated positions in identifying the objects. The criteria are helpful to design, develop and evaluate localization algorithms that are used to tell people the location of objects. Augmented reality is a typical example that needs such localization algorithms. To model the criteria without ambiguity, we prove that the Delaunay triangulation well-captures natural human behavior of finding similarity between estimated and true positions. We have examined different localization algorithms to observe how the proposed model quantifies the properties of those algorithms. Subjective testing has also been conducted using questionnaires to justify our quantification sufficiently renders human intuition. 相似文献

A cytochrome C (cyt C) and apatite composite layer was formed on a NaOH- and heat-treated titanium substrate (Ti substrate) by immersing the Ti substrate for one day at 25 °C in supersaturated calcium phosphate solutions obtained by mixing infusion fluids. When the initial supersaturation level of the calcium phosphate solution was increased, the total amount of cyt C and apatite deposited on the Ti substrate increased. On the other hand, the cyt C content in the composite layer decreased with an increase in initial supersaturation level. The morphology of the composite layer markedly changed depending on the initial supersaturation level. Therefore, the initial supersaturation level affected the formation of the cyt C and apatite composite layer. It is expected that fibroblast growth factor-2 can be immobilized on NaOH- and heat-treated titanium substrates using the same method. 相似文献

We have performed first principles total energy calculations to investigate the deposit of yttrium digermanide on the Si(111) surface. We have used the periodic density functional theory as implemented in the Quantum-ESPRESSO package. For the adsorption of a monolayer of yttrium digermanide on the Si(111)-(1 × 1) surface, we have found that the most stable geometry corresponds to a configuration with Y atoms occupying the T4 site above a second layer Si atom, and with a Ge bilayer on top of the structure. The atomic structure of the Ge bilayer is similar to that of Si (Ge) in the bulk but rotated 180° with respect to the crystal. For the three dimensional growth of a few layers of yttrium digermanide on Si(111) we have considered a hexagonal structure with (√3 × √3) periodicity, similar to the one found in the growth of few layers of YSi2 on Si(111): graphite-like Ge planes (with vacancies) intercalated with yttrium planes. As in the case of a single layer of YGe2, there is a formation of a Ge bilayer on top of the structure. In this case, the Gedown atoms of the bilayer, which are on top the vacancies, move down towards the vacancy, while Ge atoms in the graphitic layer, which are below the Geup atoms of the bilayer, are displaced towards the vacancy. 相似文献

This paper describes the cogging torque characteristics of a magnetic‐geared motor with permanent magnets only on the high‐speed rotor. The operational principle, which is different from that of the magnetic‐geared motor with permanent magnets on the high‐speed rotor and stator, is described. The torque characteristics, especially the order of the cogging torque, are mathematically formulated and verified by conducting 3D finite element analysis and carrying out measurements on a prototype. The thickness of the glass substrate used in liquid crystal displays continues to be decreased from its original thickness of 1.1 mm for the purpose reducing size and weight. The aim of this study was to clarify the influence of the glass substrate thickness during laser scribing with crack propagation caused by laser heating followed by quick quenching. The laser scribe conditions for soda-lime glass substrates with thickness equal to or less than 1.1 mm were obtained in laser irradiation experiments. Two-dimensional thermal elasticity analysis was conducted with a finite element method based on the scribable conditions obtained in the experiment. The laser scribable conditions can then be estimated by the upper limit of the maximum surface temperature, Tmax, and the lower limit of the maximum tensile stress, σtmax, in the cooling area, regardless of the glass substrate thickness. There is a substrate thickness with which the maximum tensile stress σtmax becomes the largest under each scribe condition. The substrate thickness with which σtmax becomes the largest is obtained at a faster scribe velocity for thinner glass substrate and at slower scribe velocity for thicker glass substrate. Owing to these relations, the crack depth also has almost the same tendency as σtmax. 相似文献
