A method for landscape regionalization based on fuzzy membership signatures   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The aim of this paper is to present a new method for regionalization that can be used in landscape analysis and planning. The approach in this study concentrates on the possibility to use membership functions developed from training sites as a mean to characterize whole regions. Instead of traditional classification routines a fuzzy method was developed. The method is described with an example from a study area located in Sweden. Pre-classified and unclassified satellite data were used in the study. The frequency distribution of three land cover types was calculated for three different training sites. The frequency distributions were transformed into membership functions. As such they describe the graded membership for every frequency pixel to all the training sites. Thereafter, were the membership images combined through a weighted linear combination. The result shows the membership for every location in the study area to one of the training sites. The images were also classified into one resulting image showing the crisp regions of the study area. An accuracy assessment of the method was performed. The result showed an overall classification accuracy of 86% compared to existing regional divisions of the study area.  相似文献

In this paper, novel methods for detecting steady-state visual evoked potentials using multiple electroencephalogram (EEG) signals are presented. The methods are tailored for brain-computer interfacing, where fast and accurate detection is of vital importance for achieving high information transfer rates. High detection accuracy using short time segments is obtained by finding combinations of electrode signals that cancel strong interference signals in the EEG data. Data from a test group consisting of 10 subjects are used to evaluate the new methods and to compare them to standard techniques. Using 1-s signal segments, six different visual stimulation frequencies could be discriminated with an average classification accuracy of 84%. An additional advantage of the presented methodology is that it is fully online, i.e., no calibration data for noise estimation, feature extraction, or electrode selection is needed.  相似文献

In this study, the behavior of a parametric 3D re-entrant dodecahedron lattice structure with negative Poisson’s ratio was studied. Four geometrical configurations for the re-entrant dodecahedron were designed, and the relationship between the mechanical properties and the design parameters was determined through beam theory. Samples were fabricated successfully via electron beam melting. Compressive tests as well as finite element analysis (FEA) were performed, and the results were compared with theoretical predictions. The modeling yielded explicit analytical equations of various mechanical properties including Poisson’s ratios, modulus and strength, and the compressive strength and the modulus from the prediction match well with the experiments, as well as the FEA results. The methodology used by this study also demonstrated a feasible approach to design 3D auxetic cellular structure for various applications.  相似文献

The characteristic flavor of exotic tropical fruits is one of their most attractive attributes to consumers. In this article, the enormous diversity of exotic fruit flavors is reviewed. Classifying some of the exotic fruits into two classes on the basis of whether esters or terpenes predominate in the aroma was also attempted. Indeed, as far as exotic tropical fruits are concerned, the majority of fruits have terpenes predominating in their aroma profile. Some of the fruits in this group are the Amazonian fruits such as pitanga, umbu-caja, camu-camu, garcinia, and bacuri. The ester group is made up of rambutan, durians, star fruit, snake fruit, acerola, tamarind, sapodilla, genipap, soursop, cashew, melon, jackfruit, and cupuacu respectively. Also, the role of sulphur-volatiles in some of the exotic fruits is detailed.  相似文献

In this work, the effectiveness of a novel, combined coagulation-flocculation treatment based on alum and soluble or nanoparticular anionic derivatives of dialdehyde cellulose, ADAC, was evaluated by studying the removal of colloidal material in a model suspension containing kaolin. Four different ADACs with varying degrees of substitution, size and water solubility were synthesized by periodate oxidation and sulfonation of cellulose. The effects of ADAC dosage, solution pH and temperature on flocculation were studied by measuring residual turbidity of the settled suspension. Moreover, the charge densities, sizes, ζ-potentials and stability of the ADACs in aqueous solutions were studied. The combined treatment was effective in the removal of colloidal particles, as demonstrated by reduced residual turbidity with remarkably lower total chemical consumption compared with coagulation with alum alone. Of the ADACs, samples with lower solubility that contained cellulose nanoparticles performed better than the fully water-soluble sample. Due to the restricted pH tolerance of alum, the combined treatment was effective only at acidic conditions (pH < 5), although the ADACs were found to be stable in a much broader pH range (pH of 3 to about 9). ADACs also retained strong activity at higher temperatures (30-60 °C) and after several days of storage in aqueous solution.  相似文献

In this work, we used deep eutectic solvent (DES) composed of decanoic acid and lidocaine, which is characterized as a green solvent, for separation of Fe (III), which is the most-used metal in the world, and Mn (II), which is currently being used in many industries. We found that the pH of the initial metal solution strongly influenced the extraction mechanism. Fe (III) can be extracted at pH 1.0–2.0 due to the ion pair reaction between Fe3+ and decanoic anion, while at higher pH, the extraction mechanism cannot be evaluated due to formation of precipitation at the aqueous phase. In the case of Mn (II), the ion pair reaction occurred at pH of lower than 2.2 and higher than 3.5, while from pH 2.2 to 3.5, the cation exchange between Mn2+ and lidocaine cation probably dominated the extraction process. The DES concentration needed to reach the complete separation of Fe (III) was about 25 g/L, while Mn (II) was completely extracted using about 300 g/L of DES. The selectivity of this method was very high when was applied in the separation of Fe (III) from Mn (II).  相似文献

A simple, rapid, and validated method for separation and determination of promethazine enantiomers was developed. Promethazine was separated and quantitated on a Vancomycin Chirobiotic V column (250 x 4.6 mm), using a mixture of methanol, acetic acid, and triethylamine (100:0.1:0.1%, by volume) as a mobile phase at 20 degrees C and at a flow rate of 1 mL/min. The UV-detector was set to 254 nm. Acetyl salicylic acid (Aspirin) was used as an internal standard. The applied HPLC method allowed separation and quantification of promethazine enantiomers with good linearity (r > .999) in the studied range. The relative standard deviations (RSD) were 0.29 and 0.36 for the promethazine enantiomers with accuracy of 100.06 and 100.08. The limit of detection and limit of quantification of promethazine enantiomers were found to be 0.04 and 0.07 microg/mL, respectively. The method was validated through the parameters of linearity, accuracy, precision, and robustness. The HPLC method was applied for the quantitative determination of promethazine in pharmaceutical formulations.  相似文献

In early design phases, architects, landscape architects and urban planners are key actors whose decisions determine the environmental impact of planning and building projects. Environmental and sustainability assessment tools for buildings and neighbourhoods have been developed to promote sustainable building, but their usage has not been thoroughly evaluated. This study investigated self-reported knowledge and usage of such tools among competitors and jury group from 10 European countries involved in the international architectural competition ‘A New City Centre for Kiruna’ in Sweden. The questionnaire revealed that 13% used environmental assessment tools or management systems in the competition, although 47% had used them previously. Tool users reported greater knowledge of how to handle environmental impacts than non-users. However, the self-rated experience of handling various environmental impacts, in the competition and in general, was low for both groups. Nevertheless, the self-rated importance of environmental impacts was high among all participants. Based on this study, it is concluded that environmental assessment tools, issues and goals can be better integrated into the processes of early design in planning and building projects, and in architectural competitions. Furthermore, to limit environmental impacts in building and planning projects, professionals need to be educated about environmental strategies and solutions.  相似文献
