The development and computational implementation, on a multibody dynamics environment, of a constitutive relation to model
bushing elements associated with mechanical joints used in the models of road and rail vehicles is presented here. These elements
are used to eliminate vibrations in vehicles, due to road irregularities, to allow small misalignment of axes, to reduce noise
from the transmission, or to decrease wear of the mechanical joints. Bushings are made of a special rubber, used generally
in energy dissipation, which presents a nonlinear viscoelastic relationship between the forces and moments and their corresponding
displacements and rotations. In the methodology proposed here a finite element model of the bushing is developed in the framework
of the finite element code ABAQUS to obtain the constitutive relations of displacement/rotation versus force/moment for different
loading cases. The bushing is modeled in a multibody code as a nonlinear restrain that relates the relative displacements
between the bodies connected with the joint reaction forces, and it is represented by a matrix constitutive relation. The
basic ingredients of the multibody model are the same vectors and points relations used to define kinematic constraints in
any multibody formulation. One particular, and relevant, characteristic of the formulation now presented is its ability to
represent standard kinematic joints, clearance, and bushing joints just by defining appropriate constitutive relations. Spherical,
revolution, cylindrical, and translational bushing joints are modeled, implemented, and demonstrated through the simulation
of two multibody models of a road vehicle, one with perfect kinematic joints for the suspension sub-systems, and other with
bushing joints. The tests conducted include an obstacle avoidance maneuver and a vehicle riding over bumps. It is shown that
the bushing models for vehicle multibody models proposed here are accurate and computationally efficient so that they can
be included in the vehicle models leading reliable simulations. 相似文献

Details on the unexpected formation of two new (dimethylamino)methyl corrole isomers from the reaction of 5,10,15-tris(pentafluorophenyl)corrolatogallium(III) with sarcosine and paraformaldehyde are presented. Semi-empirical calculations on possible mechanism pathways seem to indicate that the new compounds are probably formed through a Mannich-type reaction. The extension of the protocol to the free-base 5,10,15-tris(pentafluorophenyl)corrole afforded an unexpected new seven-membered ring corrole derivative, confirming the peculiar behavior of corroles towards known reactions when compared to the well-behaved porphyrin counterparts. 相似文献

Oral mucositis (OM), a common side effect of oncological treatment, is an oral mucosal disorder characterized by painful ulcerations and increased risk of infection. The use of natural antioxidants to suppress the redox imbalance responsible for the OM condition has emerged as an interesting approach to prevent/treat OM. This study aims to explore the chestnut (Castana sativa) shells as potential active ingredient against OM. Therefore, chestnut shells were extracted at different temperatures (110–180 °C) by Subcritical Water Extraction (SWE), aiming to recover antioxidants. The extracts were also evaluated against microorganisms present in the oral cavity as well as on human oral cell lines (TR146 and HSC3). The highest phenolic content was obtained with the extraction temperature of 110 °C, exhibiting the best antioxidant/antiradical activities and scavenging efficiencies against HOCl (IC50 = 4.47 μg/mL) and ROO• (0.73 μmol TE/mg DW). High concentrations of phenolic acids (e.g., gallic and protocatechuic acids) and flavanoids (catechin, epicatechin and rutin) characterized the phenolic profile. The antimicrobial activity against several oral microorganisms present in the oral cavity during OM, such as Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, and Escherichia, was demonstrated. Finally, the effects on HSC3 and TR146 cell lines revealed that the extract prepared at 110 °C had the lowest IC50 (1325.03 and 468.15 µg/mL, respectively). Superparamagnetic nanoparticles are of high interest for therapeutic applications. In this work, nanoparticles of calcium-doped manganese ferrites (CaxMn1−xFe2O4) functionalized with citrate were synthesized through thermally assisted oxidative precipitation in aqueous media. The method provided well dispersed aqueous suspensions of nanoparticles through a one-pot synthesis, in which the temperature and Ca/Mn ratio were found to influence the particles microstructure and morphology. Consequently, changes were obtained in the optical and magnetic properties that were studied through UV-Vis absorption and SQUID, respectively. XRD and Raman spectroscopy studies were carried out to assess the microstructural changes associated with stoichiometry of the particles, and the stability in physiological pH was studied through DLS. The nanoparticles displayed high values of magnetization and heating efficiency for several alternating magnetic field conditions, compatible with biological applications. Hereby, the employed method provides a promising strategy for the development of particles with adequate properties for magnetic hyperthermia applications, such as drug delivery and cancer therapy. 相似文献

Over recent decades, multidrug-resistant pathogens have become a global concern, with WHO even considering it one of the biggest threats to global health, food security, and development today, which led to the search for alternative antibacterial agents. A special class is formed by peptides composed by the diphenylalanine motif whose antibacterial properties result from their supramolecular arrangement into nanotubes. However, several other dipeptides that also form nanotubes have been largely overlooked. Here, we present the antibacterial activity of four dipeptide nanotubes. The results point to diverse mechanisms through which dipeptide nanotubes exert their effect against bacteria. Antibacterial activity was similar for dipeptide nanotubes sufficiently wide to allow water flux while dipeptides displaying smaller channels were inactive. This suggests that two of the tested dipeptides, L-Phe-L-Phe (FF, diphenylalanine) and L-Leu-L-Ser (LS), are pore forming structures able to induce membrane permeation and affect cellular hydration and integrity. Of these two dipeptides, only FF demonstrated potential to inhibit biofilm formation. The amyloid-like nature and hydrophobicity of diphenylalanine assemblies are probably responsible for their adhesion to cell surfaces preventing biofilm formation and bacteria attachment. 相似文献

There is currently a controversial and heated debate about the safety and ethical aspects of fluoride (F) used for human consumption. Thus, this study assessed the effects of prenatal and postnatal F exposure of rats on the salivary glands of their offspring. Pregnant rats were exposed to 0, 10, or 50 mg F/L from the drinking water, from the first day of gestation until offspring weaning (42 days). The offspring rats were euthanized for the collection of the parotid (PA) and submandibular (SM) glands, to assess the oxidative biochemistry and to perform morphometric and immunohistochemical analyses. F exposure was associated with a decrease in the antioxidant competence of PA in the 10 mg F/L group, contrasting with the increase observed in the 50 mg F/L group. On the other hand, the antioxidant competence of the SM glands was decreased at both concentrations. Moreover, both 10 and 50 mg F/L groups showed lower anti-α-smooth muscle actin immunostaining area in SM, while exposure to 50 mg F/L was associated with changes in gland morphometry by increasing the duct area in both glands. These findings demonstrate a greater susceptibility of the SM glands of the offspring to F at high concentration in comparison to PA, reinforcing the need to adhere to the optimum F levels recommended by the regulatory agencies. The objectives of this study were to isolate psychrotrophic clostridia from Brazilian vacuum-packed beef cuts (spoiled or not) and to identify the isolates by using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Anaerobic psychrotrophic microorganisms were also enumerated and samples were collected to verify the incidence of psychrotrophic clostridia in the abattoir environment. Vacuum-packed beef cuts (n = 8 grossly distended and n = 5 non-spoiled) and environmental samples were obtained from a beef packing plant located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Each sample was divided in three subsamples (exudate, beef surface and beef core) that were analyzed for vegetative forms, total spore-forming, and sulfide reducing spore-forming, both activated by alcohol and heat. Biochemical profiles of the isolates were obtained using API20A, with further identification using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The growth temperature and the pH range were also assessed. Populations of psychrotrophic anaerobic vegetative microorganisms of up to 1010 CFU/(g, mL or 100 cm2) were found in ‘blown pack’ samples, while in non-spoiled samples populations of 105 CFU/(g, CFU/mL or CFU/100cm2) was found. Overall, a higher population of total spores and sulfide reducing spores activated by heat in spoiled samples was found. Clostridium gasigenes (n = 10) and C. algidicarnis (n = 2) were identified using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Among the ten C. gasigenes isolates, six were from spoiled samples (C1, C2 and C9), two were isolated from non-spoiled samples (C4 and C5) and two were isolated from the hide and the abattoir corridor/beef cut conveyor belt. C. algidicarnis was recovered from spoiled beef packs (C2). Although some samples (C3, C7, C10 and C14) presented signs of ‘blown pack’ spoilage, Clostridium was not recovered. C. algidicarnis (n = 1) and C. gasigenes (n = 9) isolates have shown a psychrotrophic behavior, grew in the range 6.2-8.2. This is the first report on the isolation of psychrotrophic Clostridium (C. gasigenes and C. algidicarnis) in Brazil. This study shows that psychrotrophic Clostridium may pose a risk for the stability of vacuum-packed beef produced in tropical countries during shelf-life and highlights the need of adopting control measures to reduce their incidence in abattoir and the occurrence of ‘blown pack’ spoilage. 相似文献

A simple and intuitive manner for solving fluid-structure interaction problem has been developed using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. By eliminating the need of previous knowledge of any programming language, the method appears as an interesting introduction to numerical solutions of partial differential equations, due to the direct and didactic way that it is developed. Proposed procedure enables the analysis of tridimensional geometries using the finite difference method and can be extended to other differential equations or boundary conditions. The author's objective in this paper is to develop a simple and reliable preliminary method for solving acoustic fluid-structure interaction problems with application to dam-reservoir interaction phenomena and also contribute in the educational growth for undergraduate students that are beginning research in such matter. 相似文献

The mirror-modified filtered-x least mean squares (MMFxLMS ) algorithm is a variation of the FxLMS algorithm with online secondary path modeling that cannot diverge due to secondary path modeling errors. However, problems may occur when the ambient noise is not limited due to insufficient modeling power. This work shows that under a frequency domain analysis without ambient noise, the MMFxLMS algorithm is always stable, and expressions for the maximum residual noise level at any given time are obtained. It is also shown that, under the same context, convergence to the minimum residual noise is guaranteed. Still, convergence can be much slower for high secondary path modeling errors than that of the LMS or MFxLMS algorithms. Simulations confirm these results. 相似文献
