We report a case of adult de novo acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with unique cytogenetic abnormalities and discrepant morphologic and immunologic features. Morphology was L1 by the French-American-British classification, but flow cytometry was consistent with a mature B-cell phenotype. Cytogenetic analysis showed numerous chromosome abnormalities nonspecific for lymphoid neoplasm except for t(1;19) and t(14;18). The former is characteristic of pre-B-ALL and the latter is characteristic of follicular lymphoma. This is the first report of these two translocations occurring concurrently in ALL.  相似文献

In this paper Semi-curtailed and Fully-curtailed three class attributes plans are introduced. The maximum likelihood estimators of the proportion of bad units and that of marginal units under these plans are obtained. The optimal control model for the human operator has emerged as one of the most promising models for the study of human performance in complex tasks. Previous applications of this model have used heuristic methods based on empirical data to establish numerical values for the model parameters. This was necessary because of the absence of any systematic identification method for the direct extraction of model parameters from experimental data. In this paper, the standard optimal control model is analyzed from the viewpoint of system identification. It is shown that the existing model structure is overparameterized and can be simplified by modifying some of the original assumptions. Identifiability of the resulting modified optimal control model is investigated. As a result, a systematic procedure for the identification of the modified optimal control model parameters from available data is developed. This procedure is validated by application to experimental data from simulation of a piloted tracking task. The paper concludes with recommendations for further simplification in the human operator model structure.  相似文献

Data striping across multiple network interfaces and its applications to mobile environments was recently investigated (Phatak and Goff, 2002). Therein, a network-layer Internet protocol (IP)-in-IP encapsulation mechanism was proposed to aggregate the bandwidth of multiple network paths by striping a single transport layer [transmission control protocol (TCP)] connection across them. The analysis and experimental results from that study demonstrated fundamental limitations to TCPs performance in such scenarios. In this paper, we therefore propose a method of overcoming these limitations by striping data at the transport layer. For a proof-of-concept demonstration we use a substantially enhanced version of the stream control transmission protocol (SCTP). Our analytical results and experimental data illustrate that there are significant advantages to using a transport protocol with native support for the simultaneous use of multiple network interfaces, as opposed to stretching TCP to a point where it is no longer effective. This work naturally leads to another fundamental issue of end-to-end support for host mobility at the transport layer. Our analysis and results demonstrate that transport layer support for multiple network (IP) interfaces, together with the capability to dynamically add or delete IP addresses can yield the following advantages: higher bandwidth, load balancing, and increased fairness, enhanced reliability, and end-to-end support for host mobility. This is independent of the underlying network-layer and, hence, is applicable to static/wired, as well as wireless/ad hoc environments. The proposed protocol offers a unified solution to both data striping across multiple networks interfaces, as well as end-to-end mobility support.  相似文献
