In digital CMOS circuits, parametric yield improvement may be achieved by reducing the variability of performance and power consumption of individual cell instances. Such improvement of variation robustness can be attained by evaluating parameter variation impact at gate level. Statistical characterization of logic gates are usually obtained by computationally expensive electrical simulations. An efficient gate delay variability estimation method is proposed for variability-aware design. The proposed method has been applied to different topologies (transistor network arrangements) and CMOS gates, and it has been compared to Monte Carlo simulations for data validation, resulting in computation time savings. 相似文献

This study presents a methodology for applying the forced-oscillation technique in total liquid ventilation. It mainly consists of applying sinusoidal volumetric excitation to the respiratory system, and determining the transfer function between the delivered flow rate and resulting airway pressure. The investigated frequency range was f ∈ [0.05, 4] Hz at a constant flow amplitude of 7.5 mL/s. The five parameters of a fractional order lung model, the existing "5-parameter constant-phase model," were identified based on measured impedance spectra. The identification method was validated in silico on computer-generated datasets and the overall process was validated in vitro on a simplified single-compartment mechanical lung model. In vivo data on ten newborn lambs suggested the appropriateness of a fractional-order compliance term to the mechanical impedance to describe the low-frequency behavior of the lung, but did not demonstrate the relevance of a fractional-order inertance term. Typical respiratory system frequency response is presented together with statistical data of the measured in vivo impedance model parameters. This information will be useful for both the design of a robust pressure controller for total liquid ventilators and the monitoring of the patient's respiratory parameters during total liquid ventilation treatment. 相似文献

We describe various generation schemes that employ soliton dynamics in photonic-crystal fibers to generate a red-shifted femtosecond pulse with high efficiency. We then detail how to use this pulse along with the initial femtosecond laser pulse for coherent Raman experiments. We describe various measurement schemes that, though utilizing this pair of femtosecond pulses, mimick the preferred measurement scheme for coherent Raman microspectroscopy where one pulse is transform-limited and of picosecond duration; or for coherent Raman microscopy where both pulses are transform-limited and of picosecond duration. We finally discuss how to increase pulse energy and give some perspective on the realization of a coherent Raman endoscope based on soliton dynamics. 相似文献

Here, the design, synthesis, and characterization of laser nanomaterials based on dye‐doped methyl methacrylate (MMA) crosslinked with octa(propyl‐methacrylate) polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (8MMAPOSS) is reported in relation to their composition and structure. The influence of the silicon content on the laser action of the dye pyrromethene 567 (PM567) is analyzed in a systematic way by increasing the weight proportion of POSS from 1 to 50%. The influence of the inorganic network structure is studied by replacing the 8MMAPOSS comonomer by both the monofunctionalized heptaisobutyl‐methacryl‐POSS (1MMAPOSS), which defines the nanostructured linear network with the POSS cages appearing as pendant groups of the polymeric chains, and also by a new 8‐hydrogenated POSS incorporated as additive to the polymeric matrices. The new materials exhibit enhanced thermal, optical, and mechanical properties with respect to the pure organic polymers. The organization of the molecular units in these nanomaterials is studied through a structural analysis by solid‐state NMR. The domain size of the dispersed phase assures a homogeneous distribution of POSS into the polymer, thus, a continuous phase corresponding to the organic matrix incorporates these nanometer‐sized POSS crosslinkers at a molecular level, in agreement with the transparency of the samples. The silicon–oxygen core framework has to be covalently bonded into the polymer backbone instead of being a simple additive and both the silica content and crosslinked degree exhibit a critical influence on the laser action. 相似文献

A new carbazole‐related small molecule exhibiting self‐assembly into ordered nanostructures in solution‐processed cast films has been synthesized and its charge‐photogeneration and ‐transport properties have been investigated. Large photoconductivity was measured in the amorphous state while an enormous improvement in the photoconduction properties was observed when the molecules spontaneously organized. Photocurrents increased upon self‐assembly by up to four orders of magnitude, mostly due to the drastic enhancement of the charge photogeneration. A greatly favorable arrangement of the aromatic cores in the resulting nanostructures, which were characterized by X‐ray analysis, may explain these improvements. Photocurrents of mA cm?2, on/off ratios of 104 and quantum efficiencies of unity at low field and light intensity, which are among the best values reported to date, along with the simplicity of fabrication, give this readily‐available organic system great potential for use in plastic optoelectronic devices. 相似文献

This paper presents a newly developed method to estimate, in magnetic resonance (MR) images, the temperatures reached within the volume of an iceball produced by a cryogenic probe. Building on the direct measurements of the MR signal intensity and its correlation with independent temperature variations at the phase transition from liquid to solid, the thermal information embedded in the images was accessed. The volume and diameter of the growing iceball were estimated from a time series of MR images. Using regressions over the volume in the time and thermal domains, this method predicted the cryogenic temperatures beyond the range of sensitivity of the MR signal itself. We present a validation of this method in samples of gelatin and ex vivo pig liver. Temperature predictions are shown to agree with independent thermosensor readings over a range extending from 20 degrees C down to -65 degrees C, with an average error of less than 6 degrees C. 相似文献

Effects of the via-hole implementation on radiation characteristics of a microstrip patch antenna are computed on an EM resolver based upon integral equations and numerically solved by moment method. Coaxial feed and via-holes are considered as integral parts of the antenna so that after an accurate modeling of the incident field, induced effects of the holes are naturally accounted for. Results show that for some locations, the via-hole effects on the radiation characteristics are negligeable. Shapes provide a rich set of clues on the identity and topological properties of an object. In many imaging environments, however, the same object appears to have different shapes due to distortions such as translation, rotation, reflection, scaling, or skewing. Further, the order by which the object's feature points are scanned changes, i.e., the order of the pixels may be permuted. Relating two-dimensional shapes of the same object distorted by different affine and permutation transformations is a challenge. We introduce a shape invariant that we refer to as the intrinsic shape of an object and describe an algorithm, BLAISER, to recover it. The intrinsic shape is invariant to affine-permutation distortions. It is a uniquely defined representative of the equivalence class of all affine-permutation distortions of the same object. BLAISER computes the intrinsic shape from any arbitrarily affine-permutation distorted image of the object, without prior knowledge regarding the distortions or the undistorted shape of the object. The critical step of BLAISER is the determination of the shape orientation and we provide a detailed discussion on this topic. The operations of BLAISER are based on low-order moments of the input shape and, thus, robust to error and noise. Examples illustrate the performance of the algorithm. 相似文献
