Sensor‐based chemical analyses commonly enlist either the molecular recognition capabilities of biology (e.g., enzyme biosensors) or advanced information processing algorithms (e.g., the electronic nose). Here, a hybrid approach is proposed in which an enzyme is used to “filter” chemical information and write this information to a film which then serves as a permanent storage medium that can be ‘read’ repeatedly, interactively, and by multiple sensor modalities. This approach is demonstrated by analyzing common dietary phenols that are reported to offer health benefits. Specifically, the enzyme tyrosinase is used to convert these phenols into reactive quinones that graft (i.e., write) to a chitosan film. Grafting can be detected by optical, mechanical, and electrochemical sensors. Importantly, grafting confers redox activity to the films and this redox activity can be probed interactively by advanced electrochemical methods that allow the intrinsic redox reactivities to be compared, redox interactions to be identified, and biologically relevant redox activities to be examined. The transfer of chemical and biological information to a film is envisioned to provide broader access to the extensive capabilities offered by sensor technologies and signal processing methodologies. 相似文献

A basic assumption of most recently proposed waveform design algorithms is that the target impulse response is a known deterministic function or a stochastic process with a known power spectral density(PSD).However,it is well-known that a target impulse response is neither easily nor accurately obtained;besides it changes sharply with attitude angles.Both of the aforementioned cases complicate the waveform design process.In this paper,an adaptive robust waveform selection method for unknown target detection in clutter is proposed.The target impulse response is considered to be unknown but belongs to a known uncertainty set.An adaptive waveform library is devised by using a signal-to-clutter-plus-noise ratio(SCNR)-based optimal waveform design method.By applying the minimax robust waveform selection method,the optimal robust waveform is selected to ensure the lowest performance bound of the unknown target detection in clutter.Results show that the adaptive waveform library outperforms the predefined linear frequency modulation(LFM)waveform library on the SCNR bound. 相似文献

As an alternating copolymer of CO2 and propylene oxide, poly(1,2-propylene carbonate) (PPC) should be composed of fully carbonate structure, whereas it generally
contains certain ether linkage due to the existence of competitive formation of ether linkage by consecutive epoxide enchainment.
Though the ether linkage was not always the dominant structure in PPC, a new understanding was provided in that the ether
linkage was crucial structure factor on the PPC performances, especially for oxygen barrier property, transparency, thermal
and mechanical properties. The gas barrier properties and transparency of PPC film became worse with increasing ether linkages,
the oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide permeability of PPC with ether linkage of 0.6 % were 14 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa, 11 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa and 220 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa, respectively, while for PPC with ether linkage of 54.1 %, they became 116 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa, 108 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa and 599 cm3/m2/24 h/0.1 MPa, respectively. There has been an increasing awareness that large-scale datasets of earth-system model results would be produced and accumulated rapidly within the next few decades with extensive usage of numerical models. The successful exploration of these data for scientific research and engineering applications requires the capability of efficient storage, retrieval, integration and visualization of these large datasets. Robust publication methods are also needed to enable data exchange through the web to increase global research collaborations. In this study, a comprehensive GIS-based data management and publication framework (GMPF) was developed and applied to the use, representation, and analysis of hydrodynamic modeling results of Hamburg Port, Germany. Linking with GIS, a desktop- and a web-based model-results data atlas were developed to provide an interactive environment for various cartography and time series plots. The implementation of the framework was based on modular software design, open specifications and reuse of open source projects. The study results showed that the project life-cycle was shortened and development efforts were reduced through applying GMPF. The developed system could be integrated into commercial hydrodynamics software platforms to enhance the capability of model-results management and publication. 相似文献
