A few schema theorems for genetic programming (GP) have been proposed in the literature in the last few years. Since they consider schema survival and disruption only, they can only provide a lower bound for the expected value of the number of instances of a given schema at the next generation rather than an exact value. This paper presents theoretical results for GP with one-point crossover which overcome this problem. First, we give an exact formulation for the expected number of instances of a schema at the next generation in terms of microscopic quantities. Due to this formulation we are then able to provide an improved version of an earlier GP schema theorem in which some (but not all) schema creation events are accounted for. Then, we extend this result to obtain an exact formulation in terms of macroscopic quantities which makes all the mechanisms of schema creation explicit. This theorem allows the exact formulation of the notion of effective fitness in GP and opens the way to future work on GP convergence, population sizing, operator biases, and bloat, to mention only some of the possibilities.  相似文献

Knowledge of the conditions governing the initiation and propagation of cracks in hot mix asphalt (HMA) mixtures is a prerequisite for a comprehensive understanding of HMA cracking mechanisms. Traditional strain measurement sensors have proved to be not completely adequate in the sense that they do not provide pointwise measurements, thus not pinpointing the location of crack initiation, and not accounting for non-uniform strain distributions. This paper presents a digital image correlation (DIC) system for non-contact and full strain field measurements, conceived for the purpose of investigating the cracking behavior of HMA mixtures. The whole system was developed so as to account for the special nature of typical HMA testing configurations. An image matching technique (least squares matching) was employed for providing matches with sub-pixel accuracy. The performance of the method was investigated by several tests. The DIC system was shown to overcome the shortcomings of traditional on-specimen strain measurement devices achieving satisfactory accuracy compared to strain gauges.  相似文献

In many image processing applications, the discrete values of an image can be embedded in a continuous function. This type of representation can be useful for interpolation, geometrical transformations or special features extraction. Given a rectangular M × N discrete image (or sub-image), it is shown how to compute a continuous polynomial function that guarantees an exact fit at the considered pixel locations. The polynomials coefficients can be expressed as a linear one-to-one separable transform of the pixels. The transform matrices can be computed using a fast recursive algorithm which enables efficient inversion of a Vandermonde matrix. It is also shown that the least square polynomial approximation with M′ × N′ coefficients, in the separable formulation, involves the inversion of two M′ × M′ and N′ × N′ Hankel matrices.  相似文献

Perhydrotriphenylene‐based channel‐forming inclusion compounds (ICs) and thin films made of polyphenylenevinylene (PPV)‐type oligomers with terminal alkoxy groups are investigated and compared in a combined experimental and theoretical approach. Interchromophore interactions and host‐guest interactions are elucidated by UV/Vis and Raman spectroscopy. The impact of the local environment of the chromophore on the optical and photophysical properties is discussed in light of quantum‐chemical calculations. In stark contrast to thin films where preferential side‐by‐side orientation leads to quenching of photoluminescence (PL) via non‐emissive traps, the ICs are found to be attractive materials for opto‐electronic applications: they offer high chromophore concentrations, but at the same time behave as quasi‐isolated entities of tightly packed, well‐oriented objects with high PL quantum yields and the possibility of color tuning.  相似文献

This paper is the outcome of a specific task group of the RILEM Technical Committee 241-MCD “Mechanisms of Cracking and Debonding in Asphalt and Composite Pavements”. The group on “Advanced Measurement Techniques” was established in 2011 to investigate DIC applications for non-destructive and non-contact measurements of strain fields during laboratory testing. The paper illustrates different DIC/optical flow applications in measuring strain distribution during laboratory testing. Specific applications of DIC for evaluating crack initiation and crack propagation in asphalt materials are presented.  相似文献

Charge transport is investigated in high‐mobility n‐channel organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs) based on poly{[N,N′‐bis(2‐octyldodecyl)‐naphthalene‐1,4,5,8‐bis(dicarboximide)‐2,6‐diyl]‐alt‐5,5′‐(2,2′‐bithiophene)} (P(NDI2OD‐T2), Polyera ActivInk? N2200) with variable‐temperature electrical measurements and charge‐modulation spectroscopy. Results indicate an unusually uniform energetic landscape of sites for charge‐carrier transport along the channel of the transistor as the main reason for the observed high‐electron mobility. Consistent with a lateral field‐independent transport at temperatures down to 10 K, the reorganization energy is proposed to play an important role in determining the activation energy for the mobility. Quantum chemical calculations, which show an efficient electronic coupling between adjacent units and a reorganization energy of a few hundred meV, are consistent with these findings.  相似文献

Without the definition of a mandatory scheduling algorithm for channel resource assignment, WiMAX is open to Quality of Service (QoS) enhancements by research groups and developers, at the aim of managing heterogeneous flows with different QoS requirements. Furthermore, besides performance enhancement, another key issue arises for QoS delivery: it is known as multi-rate fairness and it deals with efficient resource allocation for providing sufficient bandwidth to high rate flows, without penalizing low rate ones. In this paper, uplink scheduling algorithms are studied and an innovative solution is proposed to achieve performance enhancement, multi-rate fairness and improved QoS management. After an overview of the state of the art, two scheduling algorithms based on Deficit Round Robin are studied, implemented and tested in NS2 simulator. The schedulers are validated and compared through exhaustive simulations, showing the benefits coming from the adoption of the proposed scheduling mechanism.  相似文献
