Network processing in the current Internet is at the entirety of the data packet, which is problematic when encountering network congestion. The newly proposed Internet service named Qualitative Communication changes the network processing paradigm to an even finer granularity, namely chunk level, which obsoletes many existing networking policies and schemes, especially the caching algorithms and cache replacement policies that have been extensively explored in Web Caching, Content Delivery Networks (CDN) or Information-Centric Networks (ICN). This paper outlines all the new factors that are brought by random linear network coding-based Qualitative Communication and proves the importance and necessity of considering them. A novel metric is proposed by taking these new factors into consideration. An optimization problem is formulated to maximize the metric value of all retained chunks in the local storage of network nodes under the constraint of storage limit. A cache replacement scheme that obtains the optimal result in a recursive manner is proposed correspondingly. With the help of the introduced intelligent cache replacement algorithm, the performance evaluations show remarkably reduced end-to-end latency compared to the existing schemes in various network scenarios. 相似文献

Due to the extended imaging times employed in single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET), patient motion during imaging is a common clinical occurrence. The fast and accurate correction of the three-dimensional (3-D) translational and rotational patient motion in iterative reconstruction is thus necessary to address this important cause of artifacts. We propose a method of incorporating 3-D Gaussian interpolation in the projector/backprojector pair to facilitate compensation for rigid-body motion in addition to attenuation and distance-dependent blurring. The method works as the interpolation step for moving the current emission voxel estimates and attenuation maps in the global coordinate system to the new patient location in the rotating coordinate system when calculating the expected projection. It also is employed for moving back the backprojection of the ratio of the measured projection to the expected projection and backprojection of the unit value (sensitivity factor) to the original location. MCAT simulations with known six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) motion were employed to evaluate the accuracy of our method of motion compensation. We also tested the method with acquisitions of the data spectrum anthropomorphic phantom where motion during SPECT acquisition was measured using the Polaris IR motion tracking system. We report on the progress of imec's n‐type passivated emitter, rear totally diffused rear junction silicon solar cells. Selective laser doping has been introduced in the flow, allowing the implementation of a shallow diffused front surface field and a reduction of the recombination current in the contact area. Simplifications have been implemented towards a more industrial annealing sequence, by replacing expensive forming gas annealing steps with a belt furnace annealing. By applying these improvements, together with an advanced texturing process and emitter passivation by atomic layer deposition of Al2O3, 22.5% efficient cells (three busbars) have been realized on commercial 156 · 156 mm2 Czochralski‐Si. This paper considers the application of multiuser detection techniques to improve the quality of downlink reception in a multi-cell IS–95 digital cellular communication system. In order to understand the relative performance of suboptimum multiuser detectors including the matched filter detector, optimum multiuser detection in the context of the IS–95 downlink is first considered. A reduced complexity optimum detector that takes advantage of the structural properties of the IS–95 downlink and exhibits exponentially lower complexity than the brute-force optimum detector is developed. The Group Parallel Interference Cancellation (GPIC) detector, a suboptimum, low-complexity multiuser detector that also exploits the structure of the IS–95 downlink is then developed. Simulation evidence is presented that suggests that the performance of the GPIC detector may be near-optimum in several cases. The GPIC detector is also tested on a snapshot of on-air data measured with an omnidirectional antenna in an active IS–95 system and is shown to be effective for extracting weak downlink transmissions from strong out-of-cell cochannel interference. The results of this paper suggest that the GPIC detector offers the most performance gain in scenarios where weak downlink signals are corrupted by strong out-of-cell cochannel interference. 相似文献

Graphene‐based organic nanocomposites have ascended as promising candidates for thermoelectric energy conversion. In order to adopt existing scalable printing methods for developing thermostable graphene‐based thermoelectric devices, optimization of both the material ink and the thermoelectric properties of the resulting films are required. Here, inkjet‐printed large‐area flexible graphene thin films with outstanding thermoelectric properties are reported. The thermal and electronic transport properties of the films reveal the so‐called phonon‐glass electron‐crystal character (i.e., electrical transport behavior akin to that of few‐layer graphene flakes with quenched thermal transport arising from the disordered nanoporous structure). As a result, the all‐graphene films show a room‐temperature thermoelectric power factor of 18.7 µW m?1 K?2, representing over a threefold improvement to previous solution‐processed all‐graphene structures. The demonstration of inkjet‐printed thermoelectric devices underscores the potential for future flexible, scalable, and low‐cost thermoelectric applications, such as harvesting energy from body heat in wearable applications. 相似文献
