Amultimethod approach was used to examine relations between marital violence, coparenting, and family-level processes and children's adjustment in a community-based sample of marital violence. Two hypotheses were tested, one in which family-level and co-parenting processes mediate relations between marital violence and child functioning and one in which marital violence and family-level/co-parenting processes function relatively independently in influencing children's adjustment. Observations of family processes were made within a triadic parent-child interaction, and several dimensions of children's socioemotional adjustment (i.e., peer relations, behavior problems) were examined. Results indicated that hostile-withdrawn co-parenting mediated the relations between marital violence and children's anxiety and depression. Marital violence, co-parenting, and family-level processes also functioned independently in predicting child outcome. Advanced material development, including at the nanoscale, comprises costly and complex challenges coupled to ensuring human and environmental safety. Governmental agencies regulating safety have announced interest toward acceptance of safety data generated under the collective term New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), as such technologies/approaches offer marked potential to progress the integration of safety testing measures during innovation from idea to product launch of nanomaterials. Divided in overall eight main categories, searchable databases for grouping and read across purposes, exposure assessment and modeling, in silico modeling of physicochemical structure and hazard data, in vitro high‐throughput and high‐content screening assays, dose‐response assessments and modeling, analyses of biological processes and toxicity pathways, kinetics and dose extrapolation, consideration of relevant exposure levels and biomarker endpoints typify such useful NAMs. Their application generally agrees with articulated stakeholder needs for improvement of safety testing procedures. They further fit for inclusion and add value in nanomaterials risk assessment tools. Overall 37 of 50 evaluated NAMs and tiered workflows applying NAMs are recommended for considering safer‐by‐design innovation, including guidance to the selection of specific NAMs in the eight categories. An innovation funnel enriched with safety methods is ultimately proposed under the central aim of promoting rigorous nanomaterials innovation.  相似文献

The electronic properties of graphene can be efficiently altered upon interaction with the underlying substrate resulting in a dramatic change of charge carrier behavior. Here, the evolution of the local electronic properties of epitaxial graphene on a metal upon the controlled formation of multilayers, which are produced by intercalation of atomic carbon in graphene/Ir(111), is investigated. Using scanning tunneling microscopy and Landau‐level spectroscopy, it is shown that for a monolayer and bilayers with small‐angle rotations, Landau levels are fully suppressed, indicating that the metal–graphene interaction is largely confined to the first graphene layer. Bilayers with large twist angles as well as twisted trilayers demonstrate a sequence of pronounced Landau levels characteristic for a free‐standing graphene monolayer pointing toward an effective decoupling of the top layer from the metal substrate. These findings give evidence for the controlled preparation of epitaxial graphene multilayers with a different degree of decoupling, which represent an ideal platform for future electronic and spintronic applications.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess the prognostic value of the steroid hormone receptor expression, counting the retinoid X receptor (RXR) and thyroid hormone receptors (THRs), on the two different breast cancer (BC) entities: multifocal/multicentric versus unifocal. The overall and disease-free survival were considered as the prognosis determining aspects and analyzed by uni- and multi-variate analysis. Furthermore, histopathological grading and TNM staging (T = tumor size, N = lymph node involvement, M = distant metastasis) were examined in relation to RXR and THRs expression. A retrospective statistical analysis was carried out on survival-related events in a series of 319 sporadic BC patients treated at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Ludwig-Maximillian’s University in Munich between 2000 and 2002. The expression of RXR and THRs, including its two major isoforms THRα1 and THRα2, was analyzed by immunohistochemistry and showed to have a significant correlation for both BC entities in regard to survival analysis. Patients with multifocal/multicentric BC were exposed to a significantly worse disease-free survival (DFS) when expressing RXR. Patients with unifocal BC showed a significantly worse DFS when expressing THRα1. In contrast, a statistically significant positive association between THRα2 expression and enhanced DFS in multifocal/multicentric BC was shown. Especially the RXR expression in multifocal/multicentric BC was found to play a remarkably contradictory role for BC prognosis. The findings imply the need for a critical review of possible molecular therapies targeting steroid hormone receptors in BC treatment. Our results strengthen the need to further investigate the behavior of the nuclear receptor family, especially in relation to BC focality.  相似文献

Formylglycine‐generating enzyme (FGE) is an O2‐utilizing oxidase that converts specific cysteine residues of client proteins to formylglycine. We show that CuI is an integral cofactor of this enzyme and binds with high affinity (KD=of 10?17 m ) to a pair of active‐site cysteines. These findings establish FGE as a novel type of copper enzyme.  相似文献

With increasing technological improvements, production processes are becoming more and more automated. Nevertheless, full automation is improbable in the medium term since human abilities cannot yet be completely replaced. Therefore, it is likely that so-called hybrid human–robot teams will assume the future production. This raises questions regarding the shaping of future production and the effects it will have on the employees, workstations, and the companies as a whole. The project “Work in the Industry of the Future” (ARIZ) addresses the entirely new cooperative relationship between man and technology in the Industry 4.0 and its impact on opportunities for the work force. To derive the requirements and effects of hybrid workplaces, an initial work analysis of existing workplaces with varying levels of technological enhancement (manual workplaces, workplaces with co-existing robots and fully automated workplaces) will be conducted. Multiple standardized work analysis instruments that vary in method, duration, level of analysis, and recorded characteristics already exist. This paper gives an overview of an assortment of these methods that can be used in production.  相似文献

We present a rigid body simulation method that can resolve small temporal and spatial details by using a quasi explicit integration scheme that is unconditionally stable. Traditional rigid body simulators linearize constraints because they operate on the velocity level or solve the equations of motion implicitly thereby freezing the constraint directions for multiple iterations. Our method always works with the most recent constraint directions. This allows us to trace high speed motion of objects colliding against curved geometry, to reduce the number of constraints, to increase the robustness of the simulation, and to simplify the formulation of the solver. In this paper we provide all the details to implement a fully fledged rigid body solver that handles contacts, a variety of joint types and the interaction with soft objects.  相似文献

Emerging non-volatile memory technologies are promising due to their anticipated capacity benefits, non-volatility, and zero idle energy. One of the most promising candidates is resistive random access memory (RRAM) based on resistive switching (RS). This paper reviews the development of RS device technology including the fundamental physics, material engineering, three-dimension (3D) integration, and bottom-up fabrication. The device operation, physical mechanisms for resistive switching, reliability metrics, and memory cell selector candidates are summarized from the recent advancement in both industry and academia. Options for 3D memory array architectures are presented for the mass storage application. Finally, the potential application of bottom-up fabrication approaches for effective manufacturing is introduced.  相似文献

New Synthesis of Substituted 4-Amino-quinazolines and Their Heteroanaloga N-Chloracetyl-anthranilonitriles react with potassium thiocyanate in the presence of alcohol to the (4-aminoquinazolin-2-yl-thio)-acetic acid ester ( 5 ). In the presence of water or primary amine the acetic acid derivative ( 6 ) or the acetic acid amide derivatives ( 7 ) are obtained. 2,4-Diaminoquinazolines ( 8 ) arise if vigorous reaction conditions are employed. With 2-chloracetylamino-cyclopent-1-en-carbonitrile as starting material the pyrimidines ( 11 ) are formed from the reaction with potassium thiocyanate. Analogously, (4-pyrimidyl-2-yl-seleno)-acetic acid ester ( 12 ) and (thiazolo[4,5-d]pyrimid-2-yl-seleno)-acetic acid derivatives ( 16 ) can be prepared with potassium selenocyanate. N-Chloracetyl derivatives of 5-membered heterocycles with enamino-nitrile structure ( 13 , 15 , 18 , 20 ) react with potassium thiocyanate to yield thieno[2,3-d]-, thiazolo[4,5-d]-, pyrrolo[2,3-d]-, furo[2,3-d]- and pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidines ( 14 , 16 , 19a , 19b , 21 ).  相似文献
