One of the approaches to increase the dexterity of a robot manipulating system is a design philosophy that consists of multiple robotic mechanisms. Applications of such a collection of manipulators can be in the design of a dextrous end-effector, a reconfigurable fixture to locate and grip various sized objects, or cooperative robotic arms which through their coordinated motions are able to accomplish a given task. Although the applications of such a design philosophy are endless, many problems still remain to be addressed. One of these problems is the control of the contact forces (grasping forces) between the mechanisms and the position of the grasped object. This article addresses this problem. First, a model of the mechanisms in contact with the grasped object is postulated; second, the problem of controlling the grasping forces and the position of the grasped object is formulated in the linear multi-input/multi-output system, and, finally, a centralized optimal controller is proposed for controlling the desired variables. The results of this article are demonstrated using two examples. One of the main advantages of the proposed controller is that it also shapes the transient response of the grasping force, which is an important consideration in cases when grasping fragile objects. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

High-performance polymers for water desalination were designed. A novel polysulfone was prepared via reaction between a new synthesized pyridine-based diol and bis(4-fluorophenyl) sulfone. Also a series of disulfonated copolymers with sulfonation content of 20–50 wt% were prepared to compare the hydrophilicity with the pristine polymer. The generated membranes were characterized by microscopic, mechanical, and thermal methods, and the influence of sulfonation degree on hydrophilicity, water flux, and salt rejection was followed. Water flux of sulfonated membranes was increased compare to pristine membrane as sulfonation increased, while the salt rejection decreased. To determine the prevalence of virulent Yersinia enterocolitica, 554 samples consisting of 354 bulk raw milks and 200 traditional cheeses were collected from different parts of Eastern-Azerbaijan province, during a 23-month period from 2008 to 2010. The occurrence of virulent strains of Y. enterocolitica in samples enriched in peptone sorbitol bile broth (PSBB) was evaluated via the detection of attachment invasion locus (ail) gene by PCR. The viability of virulent Y. enterocolitica in the PCR-positive samples was tested using conventional culture method and the isolates were confirmed by the second-phase ail-PCR. According to the results, 8.66% of total samples including 7.62% of bulk raw milks and 10.5% of raw milk cheeses were found ail-positive by PCR method; subsequently Y. enterocolitica was isolated by the culture method and confirmed by the second phase ail-PCR in 2.88% of total samples including 2.26% of raw milks and 4% of cheese samples. It was concluded that, a sample enrichment followed by ail-PCR was more sensitive and robust to detect and distinguish the virulent strains of Y. enterocolitica compared to the conventional culture method.  相似文献

A recent frequency estimation method was proposed in a Measurement paper for use in portable DSP based instrumentation. This method is especially important due to its low computational effort making it suitable for fast and low cost instrumentation. It has been found that many parameters can affect the frequency estimation using the proposed method. In this paper, the performance of the method in the presence of additive noise is evaluated, and the influence of signal frequency, initial phase, additive noise and number of analog-to-digital converter bits on the estimator is studied. Some caveats of the practical use of the method are addressed. Detailed numerical simulations based on a Monte Carlo procedure are presented in order to highlight the range of applicability of the method and determine the estimation bias.  相似文献

In this study hydroxyapatite (HA)/zirconia/alumina composite coatings on titanium metal was carried out using Sol-Gel dip coating and calcination process. Hydroxyapatite-Alumina-Zirconia sol, coated samples in three processes by changing final sol stirring time, aging time, calcination temperature of synthesized powder and prepared coating and rate of coating. Some parts of prepared sol were also synthesized and became powder in all three processes. Scanning electron microscopy was used to estimate the particle size of the surface and for morphological analysis. The functional group and crystallization characteristics of the powders were analyzed using (FTIR) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD). Results show that the morphology of HA-Alumina-Zirconia coatings is more homogenous in the second process with 2 hours final sol stirring time, 20 hours aging time under stirring at 60, 675°C calcination temperature for coating and 850°C for powder and 60mm/min rate of dip coating.  相似文献

Advancements in the catalytic naphtha reforming process, as one of the main processes in petrochemical industry, contributed to development of continuous catalytic regenerative naphtha reformer units. Increasing the yield of aromatic and hydrogen as well as saving the energy in this process through the application of thermal coupling technique is a potentially interesting idea. This novel idea has been assessed in this paper. In the proposed configuration, continuous catalyst regeneration naphtha reforming process is coupled with hydrogenation of nitrobenzene in a two co-axial reactor separated by a solid wall, where the generated heat in nitrobenzene hydrogenation reaction transfers to naphtha reforming reaction medium through the surface of the tube. A steady-state, homogeneous, two-dimensional model is used to describe the performance of this configuration and a kinetic model including 32 pseudo-components with 84 reactions is considered for naphtha reforming reaction. After validating the model with the commercial data of a domestic plant, the obtained results of coupled reactor are compared by the conventional one. The obtained results show the superiority of CCR coupled reactor against the conventional one.  相似文献

9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy powders were prepared by arc melting, induction melting, mechanical alloying, solid state reaction and subsequent ball milling processes. The results showed that melting processes are not suitable for preparation of 9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy due to high losses of Mg and Y. Therefore, 9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy powder was prepared by three methods including: 1) mechanical alloying, 2) mechanical alloying + solid state reaction + ball milling, and 3) mixing + solid state reaction + ball milling. The prepared 9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy powders were compared for their catalytic effects on hydrogen desorption of MgH2. It is found that 9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy powder prepared by mechanical alloying + solid state reaction + ball milling method has a smaller particle size (1–5 μm) and higher surface area (1.7 m2 g−1) than that of other methods. H2 desorption tests revealed that addition of 9Ni–2Mg–Y alloy prepared by mechanical alloying + solid state reaction + ball milling to MgH2 decreases the hydrogen desorption temperature of MgH2 from 425 to 210 °C and improves the hydrogen desorption capacity from 0 to 3.5 wt.% at 350 °C during 8 min.  相似文献

Non-destructive measurement of qualitative parameters of agricultural produce is quite beneficial in the postharvest operations. The consequential effect of mechanical damage in citrus fruits is rarely visible in their appearance compared to other commodities. The purpose of this study was to propose a fast, non-destructive method for sweet lemon mechanical damage detection using image processing technique and UV radiation. For this purpose, 135 sweet lemons were tested based on a completely randomized factorial design. In order to examine mechanical damage, the independent variables included drop height, fruit diameter and tempering period (holding time at room temperature after treatment). Fruits were dropped from heights of 2, 2.5 and 3 m onto the ground. Then images were captured under UV light having a wavelength of 365 nm, 1, 3 and 6 days after treatment. The images were sent to a PC and analyzed using MATLAB software. “Green Spot Index” or GSI was defined to show the extent of mechanical damage. Results of the analysis of variance showed that the percentage of green spots on fruit skin is significant at the 1% level considering the main and double interaction effects of drop height and fruit diameter. Green spot index significantly increases with the level of mechanical damage. Accuracy of the developed method in differentiating the bruised and undamaged fruits was found to be 100%.  相似文献
