We experimentally demonstrate that at terahertz frequencies perfect plasmonic absorbers made from a 3D V-groove array in a highly doped silicon wafer can be easily realized using simple wet-etching process. The surface plasmon modes can be excited by the V-groove array and get decayed when they propagate along the silicon surface and enter the grooves, inducing a broadband near-zero dip in the reflection spectra. The reflection spectrum of the fabricated absorber is characterized using a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system, and the experimental results are in good agreement with numerical simulations. The high performance including high absorptivity and large bandwidth together with the easy fabrication processes presented in this paper make this plasmonic absorber promising for a wide range of practical applications in terahertz regime. 相似文献

This paper explores silicon CMOS on-chip spiral inductors performance degradation under high RF power. A novel methodology to calibrate and characterize on-chip spiral inductor with large signal inputs (high/medium power) is presented. Experiments showed 12% degradation of quality factor in a particular inductor design when 34 dBm RF power was applied. The degradation of quality factor of inductor can be attributed to a local self heating effect. Thermal imaging of such an inductor under high RF power validates the hypothesis. 相似文献

A cyber‐physical system (CPS) is a new mechanism controlled or monitored by computer algorithms that intertwine physical and software components. Advanced persistent threats (APTs) represent stealthy, powerful, and well‐funded attacks against CPSs; they integrate physical processes and have recently become an active research area. Existing offensive and defensive processes for APTs in CPSs are usually modeled by incomplete information game theory. However, honeypots, which are effective security vulnerability defense mechanisms, have not been widely adopted or modeled for defense against APT attacks in CPSs. In this study, a honeypot game‐theoretical model considering both low‐ and high‐interaction modes is used to investigate the offensive and defensive interactions, so that defensive strategies against APTs can be optimized. In this model, human analysis and honeypot allocation costs are introduced as limited resources. We prove the existence of Bayesian Nash equilibrium strategies and obtain the optimal defensive strategy under limited resources. Finally, numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed method is effective in obtaining the optimal defensive effect. 相似文献

(x = 11, 10, 9, 8) by the traditional solid-state reaction method and spark plasma sintering, and Rietveld analysis was employed
to refine the crystal structure. The results showed that the lattice parameter decreased linearly and the solubility limitations
of group IVB and VIB elements were greatly alleviated by the Ge and Te codoping. Besides, the thermoelectric properties were
analyzed through measurements of electrical and thermal conductivities as well as room-temperature electrical transport properties.
The results showed that the substitution volume of Ge and Te could play an important role in the thermoelectric properties,
and a minimum lattice thermal conductivity value of 1.56 W m−1 K−1 was obtained at around 673 K for Co4Sb8Ge1.9Te2.1. Co4Sb11Ge0.4Te0.6 achieved the best figure of merit of 0.89 at around 773 K, which was remarkably improved over that of untreated CoSb3. 相似文献

Bacterial infections are mostly due to bacteria in their biofilm mode‐of‐growth, making them recalcitrant to antibiotic penetration. In addition, the number of bacterial strains intrinsically resistant to available antibiotics is alarmingly growing. This study reports that micellar nanocarriers with a poly(ethylene glycol) shell fully penetrate staphylococcal biofilms due to their biological invisibility. However, when the shell is complemented with poly(β‐amino ester), these mixed‐shell micelles become positively charged in the low pH environment of a biofilm, allowing not only their penetration but also their accumulation in biofilms without being washed out, as do single‐shell micelles lacking the pH‐adaptive feature. Accordingly, bacterial killing of multidrug resistant staphylococcal biofilms exposed to protoporphyrin IX‐loaded mixed‐shell micelles and after light‐activation is superior compared with single‐shell micelles. Subcutaneous infections in mice, induced with vancomycin‐resistant, bioluminescent staphylococci can be eradicated by daily injection of photoactivatable protoporphyrin IX‐loaded, mixed‐shell micelles in the bloodstream and light‐activation at the infected site. Micelles, which are not degraded by bacterial enzymes in the biofilm, are degraded in the liver and spleen and cleared from the body through the kidneys. Thus, adaptive micellar nanocarriers loaded with light‐activatable antimicrobials constitute a much‐needed alternative to current antibiotic therapies. 相似文献

Robust quantum cascade laser(QCL)enduring high temperature continuous-wave(CW)operation is of critical import-ance for some applications.We report on the realization of lattice-matched InGaAs/lnAIAs/InP QCL materials grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD).High interface quality structures designed for light emission at 8.5μmare achieved by optimizing and precise controlling of growth conditions.A CW output power of 1.04 W at 288 K was obtained from a 4 mm-long and 10 μm-wide coated laser.Corresponding maximum wall-plug efficiency and threshold current density were 7.1%and 1.18 kA/cm2,respectively.The device can operate in CW mode up to 408 K with an output power of 160 mW. 相似文献

Traveling wave tubes (TWTs) designed for telecommunications applications in multichannel power amplifiers (MCPAs) are required to have high linearity, low intermodulation distortion, high efficiency and high power outputs. The linearity of the TWT can be greatly improved by operation of the tube significantly backed off from saturation and by optimization of the design of the helix circuit. This results in two tone intermodulation products that are 25 to 40 dB below the carrier level, depending on the amount of back-off selected. However, operation backed off from saturation results in a greatly reduced efficiency of the TWT, which must be compensated for by optimal circuit and collector design. Several L-band and S-band Hughes TWTs have been developed for telecommunications applications and feature saturated power levels of up to 2 kW and average power of over 600 W with overall efficiencies of over 20% at 10 dB back-off and 40% at 6 dB back-off.
