Controlling a nonlinear system with actuator delay is a challenging problem because of the need to develop some form of prediction of the nonlinear dynamics. Developing a predictor-based controller for an uncertain system is especially challenging. In this paper, tracking controllers are developed for an Euler–Lagrange system with time-delayed actuation, parametric uncertainty, and additive bounded disturbances. The developed controllers represent the first input delayed controllers developed for uncertain nonlinear systems that use a predictor to compensate for the delay. The results are obtained through the development of a novel predictor-like method to address the time delay in the control input. Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals are used within a Lyapunov-based stability analysis to prove semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded tracking. Experimental results illustrate the performance and robustness of the developed control methods.  相似文献

The application of nanoparticles (NPs) to drug delivery has led to the development of novel nanotherapeutics for the treatment of various diseases including cancer. However, clinical use of NP‐mediated drug delivery has not always translated into improved survival of cancer patients, in part due to the suboptimal properties of NP platforms, such as premature drug leakage during preparation, storage, or blood circulation, lack of active targeting to tumor tissue and cells, and poor tissue penetration. Herein, an innovative reactive oxygen species (ROS)‐responsive polyprodrug is reported that can self‐assemble into stable NPs with high drug loading. This new NP platform is composed of the following key components: (i) polyprodrug inner core that can respond to ROS for triggered release of intact therapeutic molecules, (ii) polyethylene glycol (PEG) outer shell to prolong blood circulation; and (iii) surface‐encoded internalizing RGD (iRGD) to enhance tumor targeting and tissue penetration. These targeted ROS‐responsive polyprodrug NPs show significant inhibition of tumor cell growth both in vitro and in vivo.  相似文献

Adaptive critic (AC) based controllers are typically discrete and/or yield a uniformly ultimately bounded stability result because of the presence of disturbances and unknown approximation errors. A continuous-time AC controller is developed that yields asymptotic tracking of a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with bounded disturbances. The proposed AC-based controller consists of two neural networks (NNs) – an action NN, also called the actor, which approximates the plant dynamics and generates appropriate control actions; and a critic NN, which evaluates the performance of the actor based on some performance index. The reinforcement signal from the critic is used to develop a composite weight tuning law for the action NN based on Lyapunov stability analysis. A recently developed robust feedback technique, robust integral of the sign of the error (RISE), is used in conjunction with the feedforward action neural network to yield a semiglobal asymptotic result. Experimental results are provided that illustrate the performance of the developed controller.  相似文献

The recent discovery of high-temperature superconductors (HTSs) has generated a substantial amount of interest in microstrip antenna applications. However, the high permittivity of substrates compatible with HTS causes difficulty in feeding such antennas because of the high patch edge impedance. Two methods for feeding HTS microstrip antennas at K- and Ka-band are examined. Superconducting microstrip antennas that are directly coupled and gas-coupled to a microstrip transmission line have been designed and fabricated on lanthanum aluminate substrates using Y-Ba-Cu-O superconducting thin films. Measurements from these antennas, including input impedance, bandwidth, efficiency, and patterns, are presented and compared with published models. The measured results demonstrate that usable antennas can be constructed using either of these architectures, although the antennas suffer from narrow bandwidths. In each case, the HTS antenna shows a substantial improvement over an identical antenna made with normal metals  相似文献

Superconducting microstrip ring resonators operating at 35 GHz have been fabricated from laser ablated YBa2Cu3O 7-x (YBCO) films on lanthanum aluminate substrates. The circuits consisted of superconducting strips over normal metal ground planes. The circuits are measured from 20 K to 90 K and with microwave input powers ranging from 0.25 mW to 10 mW. The superconducting resonators show significant improvement in Q over identical gold resonators at 20 K, but only marginal improvement at 77 K. No variation in the superconductor performance is observed with varying input power. The lowest microwave surface resistance of the superconductors at 77 K is 9 mΩ. The change in the resonant frequency with temperature is analyzed and a value for the penetration depth computed. Double resonances were observed in some superconducting ring resonators and an explanation is advanced. Factors limiting millimeter-wave high-temperature superconductor circuits are explored and potential performance levels calculated based on current reported values for high-temperature superconductor surface resistances  相似文献

Optical interconnects are being considered for control signal distribution in phased array antennas. A packaged hybrid GaAs optical controller with a 1:16 demultiplexed output that is suitable for this application is described. The controller, which was fabricated using enhancement/depletion mode MESFET technology, operates at demultiplexer-limited input data rates up to 305 Mb/s and requires less than 200 μW optical input power  相似文献

This paper describes the results of fatigue studies on carbon steel piping materials and components of Indian Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs). The piping components include pipes and elbows, of outer diameter 219 mm, 324 mm and 406 mm, made of carbon steel (SA333 Gr.6 grade) material. Tests on actual pipes and elbows with part through notch were carried out to study the behaviour of crack growth under cyclic loading for different pipe sizes, notch aspect ratios, stress ratios, etc. During the tests, numbers of cycles for crack initiation from blunt notch were recorded with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. In conjunction with component tests, the experimental studies were also conducted on standard specimens to understand the effect of different variables such as size (thickness), type of specimen and components (elbow and pipe), welding, stress ratio, notch orientation on fatigue crack growth rate. The fatigue crack growth curve (da/dN versus ΔK) obtained from three-point bend specimen and pipe was compared with that given in ASME Section XI. The comparison shows that da/dN versus ΔK curves obtained from the specimen and pipe tests are nearly same. The analytical predictions for crack initiation and crack growth for the tested components were compared with experimental results. Such comparisons validate the modeling procedure for crack initiation and growth.  相似文献
