The present work aims to develop antimicrobial rubber for safe industrial toys. For this purpose, natural rubber (NR) and synthetic rubber as styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) were examined. Rubber and their ingredients as well as antimicrobial agents (doxycycline and cephalexin) were mixed in a rubber mixer. The rheological properties of compounded rubber were studied, and the curing time was determined. Mechanical properties and cytotoxicity were evaluated at optimally cured rubber compounds. Scanning electron micrographs of vulcanizates showed good dispersion of ingredients throughout the investigated matrices. Rheology study for the investigated vulcanizates in presence of tested antimicrobial species exhibited no significant change in their flow behaviors. It is significant to remember that the desired physical characteristics of rubber products, including their chemical and mechanical characteristics (elongation at break and tensile strength) enhanced when doxycycline and cephalexin are present, depending on their nature and concentration. Similar results were obtained for both the SBR and EPDM rubber vulcanizates. The cytotoxicity of the prepared vulcanizates towards human normal retina cell line (RPI-1) indicated good safety of these rubber products. Furthermore, developed rubber vulcanizates showed good antimicrobial efficacy towards the test bacteria and fungi strains.”  相似文献

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones introduced for military applications are gaining popularity in several other fields as well such as security and surveillance, due to their ability to perform repetitive and tedious tasks in hazardous environments. Their increased demand created the requirement for enabling the UAVs to traverse independently through the Three Dimensional (3D) flight environment consisting of various obstacles which have been efficiently addressed by metaheuristics in past literature. However, not a single optimization algorithms can solve all kind of optimization problem effectively. Therefore, there is dire need to integrate metaheuristic for general acceptability. To address this issue, in this paper, a novel reinforcement learning controlled Grey Wolf Optimisation-Archimedes Optimisation Algorithm (QGA) has been exhaustively introduced and exhaustively validated firstly on 22 benchmark functions and then, utilized to obtain the optimum flyable path without collision for UAVs in three dimensional environment. The performance of the developed QGA has been compared against the various metaheuristics. The simulation experimental results reveal that the QGA algorithm acquire a feasible and effective flyable path more efficiently in complicated environment.  相似文献

The application of the Mannich reaction to 2,3-diphenyl-5-hydroxybenzofuran 1 a and 2,3-diphenyl-6-hydroxybenzofuran 2 a , which gives rise to the corresponding aminomethyl derivatives 1 b – i and 2 b – i is described. Chemical, analytical and spectroscopic results are in a accord with the assigned structures. Attempted chloromethylation of compounds 1 a and 2 a afforded only the methylene-bis-compounds 3 and 4 , respectively.  相似文献

Biomedical implants (BMIs) and biomedical sensors (BMSs) help to improve quality of life, detect diseases, provide monitoring of vital signs, and take over the role of malfunctioning organs. These implants and sensors require continuous battery power to work effectively, but the batteries used are restricted by their limited capacity and lifetime. This research reported here involved the design and implementation of a wireless charging system based on a series–parallel spider-web coil (WPT-SP-SWC), specifically for cardiac pacemakers. The experimental design investigated several important parameters, including air gap, applied source voltage, coil size, and operating frequency. Performance metrics were evaluated in terms of output DC voltage, delivered output power, and power transfer efficiency. The target voltage was 5 V, which is adequate to charge a BMI such as a pacemaker, and three source voltages (5, 15, and 25 V) were tested. The design was examined at six operating frequencies, ranging from 1.78 MHz to 6.78 MHz. The most favorable results were achieved at 1.78 MHz. Power transfer efficiencies at a 10 mm air gap were 95.75% and 92.08% for applied voltages of 5 V and 15 V, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed system was also validated by comparing the findings with previous articles.  相似文献

Sacrificial printing allows introduction of architectural cues within engineered tissue constructs. This strategy adopts the use of a 3D-printed sacrificial ink that is embedded within a bulk hydrogel which is subsequently dissolved to leave open-channels. However, current conventional sacrificial inks do not recapitulate the dynamic nature of tissue development, such as the temporal presentation of architectural cues matching cellular requirements during different stages of maturation. To address this limitation, a new class of sacrificial inks is developed that exhibits tailorable and programmable delayed dissolution profiles (1–17 days), by exploiting the unique ability of the ruthenium complex and sodium persulfate initiating system to crosslink native tyrosine groups present in non-chemically modified gelatin. These novel sacrificial inks are also shown to be compatible with a range of biofabrication technologies, including extrusion-based printing, digital-light processing, and volumetric bioprinting. Further embedding these sacrificial templates within cell-laden bulk hydrogels displays precise control over the spatial and temporal introduction of architectural features into cell-laden hydrogel constructs. This approach demonstrates the unique capacity of delaying dissolution of sacrificial inks to modulate cell behavior, improving the deposition of mineralized matrix and capillary-like network formation in osteogenic and vasculogenic culture, respectively.  相似文献

Kubernetes is an open-source container management tool which automates container deployment, container load balancing and container(de)scaling, including Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA). HPA enables flawless operation, interactively scaling the number of resource units, or pods, without downtime. Default Resource Metrics, such as CPU and memory use of host machines and pods, are monitored by Kubernetes. Cloud Computing has emerged as a platform for individuals beside the corporate sector. It provides cost-effective infrastructure, platform and software services in a shared environment. On the other hand, the emergence of industry 4.0 brought new challenges for the adaptability and infusion of cloud computing. As the global work environment is adapting constituents of industry 4.0 in terms of robotics, artificial intelligence and IoT devices, it is becoming eminent that one emerging challenge is collaborative schematics. Provision of such autonomous mechanism that can develop, manage and operationalize digital resources like CoBots to perform tasks in a distributed and collaborative cloud environment for optimized utilization of resources, ensuring schedule completion. Collaborative schematics are also linked with Bigdata management produced by large scale industry 4.0 setups. Different use cases and simulation results showed a significant improvement in Pod CPU utilization, latency, and throughput over Kubernetes environment.  相似文献
