In applicative theories the recursion theorem provides a term which solves recursive equations. However, it is not provable that a solution obtained by is minimal. In the present paper we introduce an applicative theory in which it is possible to define a least fixed point operator. Still, our theory has a standard recursion theoretic interpretation.  相似文献

 The surveillance of food labelling concerning genetically modified organisms (GMOs) requires DNA-based analytical techniques. Present assay systems allow the detection of GMO in food; however, they do not permit their quantitation. In this study, we report the development of quantitative competitive polymerase chain reaction (QC-PCR) systems for the detection and quantitation of the Roundup Ready soybean (RRS) and the Maximizer maize (MM) in food samples. Three DNA fragments that differ from the GMO-specific sequences by an insertion were constructed and used as internal standards in the PCR. These standards were calibrated by co-amplifying with mixtures containing RRS DNA and MM DNA, respectively. The calibrated QC-PCR systems were applied to nine commercial food samples containing RRS DNA and to three certified RRS flour mixtures in order to elucidate whether these food samples contain more or less than 1% RRS DNA. Finally, the GMO contents of four samples that were found to contain more than 1% RRS were determined by QC-PCR using various amounts of standard DNA. Perdeuterated pyridinium chloride-DMSO-d6 is an effective solvent system for whole cell biomass dissolution and NMR characterization. Employing this solvent system, semi-quantitative 13C-1H heteronuclear single quantum correlation (HSQC) spectroscopy of untreated, steam, dilute acid and lime pretreated poplar biomass samples was readily accomplished. In an effort to demonstrate the efficacy and usefulness of this fairly new characterization technique, relative spectral intensities of the untreated and pretreated biomass samples were evaluated and compared. From the relative signal intensities of hemicelluloses in each system it was observed that hemicelluloses are being removed in various pretreatment conditions, but complete dissolution of hemicellulose was observed only with acid pretreatment. The relative changes in lignin subunits after pretreatment were estimated from the volume integration of resolved cross peaks of various lignin subunits. The degradation of lignin was observed in all pretreatments, though more significant changes were noticed after dilute acid and lime pretreatment. HSQC analysis results were in agreement with the composition analysis of pretreated biomass samples. Thus, this methodology broadens the application of whole cell NMR analysis in biofuel research.  相似文献

A joint research project was carried out in the EU Fourth Framework Programme with the goal to develop verified and commonly agreed physical and numerical models for the analysis of hydrogen distribution, turbulent combustion and mitigation, which are suited for the multi-dimensional CFD codes that exist at the institutions of the participating partners. The work programme and the activities of the partners are described. Significant progress has been made in the areas of experiments, model development, model verification and model application to nuclear power plants. Joint benchmark tests were defined and analysed. In addition to the regular partners meetings, topical workshops were conducted to harmonize the experimental and theoretical work. The paper presents major experimental results, gives examples for the achieved multi-dimensional modelling capabilities, describes implementation into and validation of codes, and presents results of plant analysis activities.  相似文献

The main objective of this work is to investigate the bridging tractions in a model composite using optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors written into selected reinforcing fibers. Simultaneously, the crack opening displacement (COD) is measured using a speckle interferometry technique. The measurements are useful in the verification of the relation between the COD and bridging tractions established with the use of the weight function method. Center crack specimens made of epoxy and reinforced with one layer of optical fibers are prepared and tested under remote tension parallel to the fibers. Bragg gratings of 0.17 to 0.38 mm in length are introduced in selected fibers for direct, non invasive, local measurements of axial strains in these fibers. A controlled central crack, bridged by intact fibers, is introduced by a laser technique such that the FBGs are located between the crack faces. The results on the forces obtained from the FBGs and the COD-weight function method show good agreement. The experimental results also compare very well with 3-dimensional numerical simulations of the actual specimen geometry and loading configuration.  相似文献

Over the past several years magnetic suspension has been emerging from the laboratory and a number of successful engineering prototypes have been constructed both here and abroad. Advances in magnetic materials, primarily Samarium Cobalt, and in electronics across the board for sensing and control, have contributed to the realization of completely non-contacting rotating systems employing magnetic bearings to eliminate the last remaining wearout-prone element. Current efforts are being directed more toward reducing the size, weight, and complexity of these devices to achieve acceptance in flight systems than to demonstrate feasibility. This paper discusses an 8 cm diameter by 3.75 cm bearing which can support more than ten times its own weight and uses only 1% of its payload as part of the magnetic suspension. This design is servoed in two axis and is inherently stable in three other degrees of freedom with full rotational freedom in the desired axis. The unit has capacitive radial position sensors integrally built into the magnetic gap to further simplify its use.  相似文献

The vertebrate embryonic body plan is constructed through the interaction of many developmentally regulated genes that supply cells with the essential positional and functional information they require to migrate to their appropriate destination and generate the proper structures. Some molecular cues involved in patterning the central nervous system, particularly in the hindbrain, are interpreted by the Hox homeobox genes. Retinoids can affect the expression of Hox genes in cells lines and embryonic tissues; the hindbrain and branchial region of the head are particularly sensitive to the teratogenic effects of retinoic acid. The presence of endogenous retinoic acid, together with the distribution of retinoid binding proteins and nuclear receptors in the developing embryo, strongly suggest that retinoic acid is a natural morphogen in vertebrate development. The molecular basis for the interaction between retinoic acid and the Hox genes has been aided in part by approaches using deletion analysis in transgenic mice carrying lacZ reporter constructs. Such studies have identified functional retinoic acid response elements within flanking sequences of some of the most 3' Hox genes, suggesting a direct interaction between the genes and retinoic acid. Furthermore, as demonstrated using transgenic mice carrying Hoxb-1/lacZ constructs, multiple retinoic acid response elements may cooperate with positive and negative regulatory enhancers to specify pattern formation in the vertebrate embryo. These types of studies strongly support the normal roles of retinoids in patterning vertebrate embryogenesis through the Hox genes.  相似文献
