Domain models can be constructed more easily and made more robust by reusing ontologies in a well-defined way. In this paper the KARO approach is introduced which provides various means of retrieving and adapting components of an ontology as part of a domain model construction process. KARO is based on the knowledge-processing component LILOG-KR provided by the LILOG text-understanding system. Above all, the notion of classification is applied for the retrieval of relevant categories. The upper structure of LILOG-KB serves as an exemplary ontology. By integrating KARO into the Model-based and Incremental Knowledge Engineering Environment (MIKE) the reuse of a predefined ontology can be integrated into the development process of expert systems in a systematic way.  相似文献

3-Mono-chloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) is a contaminant that occurs in food in its free (diol) form as well as in an esterified (with fatty acids) form. Using a simple intestinal model, it was demonstrated that 3-MCPD monoesters and 3-MCPD diesters are accepted by intestinal lipase as substrates in vitro. Under the chosen conditions, the yield of 3-MCPD from a 3-MCPD monoester was greater than 95% in approximately 1 min. Release from the diesters was slower, reaching about 45, 65 and 95% of 3-MCPD after 1, 5 and 90 min of incubation, respectively. However, in human, the hydrolysis of 3-MCPD esters is unlikely to release 100% as 3-MCPD, as triglycerides and phospholipids are hydrolysed in the intestine liberating 2-monoglycerides. Assuming a similar metabolism for 3-MCPD esters as that known for acylglycerols in humans in vivo, the de-esterification in positions 1 and 3 would thus be favoured by pancreatic lipases. Therefore, 3-MCPD, and 3-MCPD-2 monoesters would be released, respectively, from the 1-/3-monoesters, and the diesters potentially present in food. Hence, information on the exact amounts of the partial fatty acid chloroesters, i.e. 3-MCPD mono- and diesters, is important to assess the contribution of foods to the bioavailability of 3-MCPD. Therefore, a rapid method for the determination of the ratio of 3-MCPD monoesters to diesters in fats and oils was developed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and isotopically labelled 3-MCPD esters as internal standards. The analysis of 11 different samples of fat mixes typically employed in food manufacturing demonstrated that a maximum of about 15% of the total amount of 3-MCPD bound in esters is present in the monoesterified form. The potentially slower release of 3-MCPD from 3-MCPD diesters, and the mono- to diesters ratio suggest that 3-MCPD esters may in fact contribute only marginally to the overall dietary exposure to 3-MCPD. Further work on the bioavailability, metabolism and possible toxicity of chloroesters per se is warranted.  相似文献

This paper outlines measurement and analysis methodologies created for determining the structural responses of electroceramics to an electric field. A sample stage is developed to apply electric fields to ceramic materials at elevated temperatures during neutron diffraction experiments. The tested voltages and temperatures range from ?20 kV to +20 kV and room temperature to 200 °C, respectively. The use of the sample environment for measuring the response of ferroelectric ceramics to an electrical stimulus is demonstrated on the instrument Wombat, a monochromatic neutron diffractometer employing a curved positive sensitive detector. Methodologies are proposed to account for the geometrical effects when vector fields are applied to textured materials with angularly dispersive detector geometries. Representative results are presented for the ferroelectric (Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3-6%BaTiO3 (BNT-6BT) which show both phase transformation and ferroelectric domain texturing under the application of an electric field. This experimental and analysis approach is well suited for time-resolved measurements such as stroboscopic and in situ studies on a variety of electro-active materials.  相似文献

PURPOSE: Intestinal low pressure orthotopic bladder substitutes have no major coordinated contractions during micturition. Therefore, the importance and type of reflux prevention were assessed in a prospective randomized study. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 70 patients with an ileal low pressure bladder substitute was randomized to receive a nipple valve or an isoperistaltic afferent ileal tubular segment for reflux prevention. RESULTS: After median observation times of 57 and 45 months, respectively, the results regarding functional reservoir capacity, incidence of infected urine, urinary continence, voiding habits and serum electrolytes, urea and creatinine were similar in both groups. Severe upper tract dilatation due to ureteroileal or nipple stenosis occurred in 9 of 67 evaluable reno-ureteral units (13.5%) in patients with antireflux nipples and in 2 of 69 (3%) in patients with an afferent tubular segment. This difference in favor of the latter cases is significant (Fisher's exact test p < 0.03). Video urodynamics did not show reflux of contrast medium during voiding in either group. A simultaneous intravesical, intra-abdominal and intrapelvic pressure increase was noted during the Valsalva maneuver. CONCLUSIONS: While long-term upper tract preservation by an afferent tubular ileal segment must be confirmed in larger patient series with longer followup, our results indicate that reflux prevention in patients with orthotopic low pressure bladder substitutes is not a major concern and does not justify the use of antireflux mechanisms with a high complication rate.  相似文献

Organic batteries are considered as environmentally friendly alternative to lithium-ion batteries due to the application of transition metal-free redox-active polymers. One well-established polymer is poly(3-vinyl-N-methylphenothiazine) (PVMPT) with a fast reversibility of the electrochemical redox reaction at a potential of 3.5 V versus Li|Li+. The oxidized PVMPT is soluble in many standard battery electrolytes, which diminishes its available specific capacity but at the same time can lead to a unique charge/discharge mechanism involving a redeposition process upon discharge. Herein, the influence of different conductive carbon additives and their properties, e.g., specific surface area, pore size distribution, and electrical conductivity, on the dissolution behavior of oxidized PVMPT is investigated. Compared to the state-of-the-art conductive carbon Super C65 employed in many organic battery electrodes, Ketjenblack EC-300J and EC-600J reduce the dissolution of the oxidized PVMPT due to better immobilization on the carbon additive and in the resulting 3D structure of the electrode, as assessed by N2-physisorption, electrochemical, UV–vis spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy investigations. The studies demonstrate that a dense packing of the carbon particles in the electrode is decisive for the stable immobilization of PVMPT while maintaining its long-term cycling performance.  相似文献

The method described is easy to perform; however, careful manipulations are required. Existing safety regulations must still be followed. This article, the second of a two part paper, describes the general design requirements for a flywheel energy storage system. A new superflywheel energy storage system, using a spokeless, magnetically suspended, composite material pierced disk rotor is proposed. The new system is configured around a permanent magnet (“flux biased”) magnetic suspension system with active control in the radial direction and passive control in the axial direction. The storage ring is used as a moving rotor and electronic commutation of stationary armature coils is proposed. There is no mechanical contact with the rotating ring and long life and low run down losses are projected. A discussion of major components for a 10 kwh system is presented.  相似文献
