This paper shows a basic concept of a near future boiling water reactor (BWR) aiming at evolutional safety and cost savings with minimum change from the current advanced BWR (ABWR). The plant output is uprated to 1500 MWe from 1356 MWe. This power uprate can bring about potential of 11% cost saving per MWe base. Safety improvement as a next generation large reactor is also achieved.

The advanced reinforced concrete containment vessel (ARCCV) is used for the containment vessel to improve safety for severe accidents. The peak pressure of the containment at severe accidents can be kept close to the design pressure. The advanced passive containment cooling system (APCS) is also provided and can accomplish no primary containment vessel (PCV) venting.

The advanced emergency core cooling system (AECCS) consists of four divisions in the front line. The advanced passive cooling system (APCS) is also provided. The combination of the four divisional emergency core cooling system (ECCS) and the passive safety system improves the plant performance in probabilistic safety assessment (PSA).

This plant concept is designed based on the heritage of the current ABWR. No more major research and development (R&D) are necessary. Therefore, construction and operation is possible in the early 2010s.  相似文献

This paper presents an evaluation of seismic capacity of a group of vertical U-tube type heat exchangers (HXs) with support frames to contribute to refinement of seismic capacity data for seismic Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) in Japan. According to usual practice of seismic PSAs, capacity of component is represented as a log-normally distributed random variable defined by a median and logarithmic standard deviations (LSDs), which represent inherent randomness about the median, βr, and uncertainty in the median due to lack of knowledge, βu. Using design specifications of four HXs for residual heat removal systems of 1100 MWe BWRs, the authors evaluated a generic capacity of HXs with a LSD for uncertainty due to lack of knowledge to take into account design variability. The median capacity was evaluated by the use of a time history response analysis with a detailed model for a selected representative HX, which was extended from a model used in seismic design. The LSD for uncertainty due to lack of knowledge was evaluated with consideration of the variabilities in three influential design parameters, i.e., diameter of anchor bolt, weight of HX and position of center of gravity of HX with the detailed model and a simplified static model. The LSD for uncertainty due to randomness was determined from the variability in material property. The dominant failure mode of HXs was identified as the failure of anchor bolts of lugs mainly due to shearing stress. The capacity expressed in terms of zero period acceleration on the foundation of HX was evaluated to be 4180 Gal (4.3 g) for median, LSD for uncertainty due to randomness was 0.11 and LSD due to lack of knowledge was 0.21–0.53 depending on combination of the variabilities in design parameters to be considered.  相似文献

Malnutrition is not only regarded as a complication of rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease but also that of inflammatory skin disease; however, the mechanisms and efficacy of its treatment have not been elucidated. Using a mouse model of dermatitis, we investigated the pathophysiology of malnutrition in inflammatory skin conditions and efficacy of its treatment. We employed spontaneous skin inflammation mice models overexpressing human caspase-1 in the epidermal keratinocytes. Body weight, nutrition level, and α1-antitrypsin fecal concentration were measured. The gastrointestinal tract was histologically and functionally investigated. Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-dextran was forcibly fed on an empty stomach, and plasma FITC-dextran was measured. The treatment efficacy of antibodies against tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-α/β as well as Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors was investigated. Compared with wild-type littermates, the inflammatory skin mice models showed a lowered body weight, reduction of serum albumin level, amyloid deposition in the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine, and increased α1-antitrypsin fecal concentration. However, the plasma FITC-dextran was unchanged between the dermatitis models and wild-type littermates. The over-produced serum amyloid A1 in the liver was detected in the plasma in the dermatitis model. Antibodies against TNF-α and IL-α/β showed partial effects on amyloid deposition; however, JAK inhibitors improved gastrointestinal amyloidosis with the improvement of skin symptoms. Chronic dermatitis is closely related to secondary amyloidosis in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in hypoalbuminemia. Therefore, active control of skin inflammation is essential for preventing gastrointestinal complications.  相似文献

Porous anodic films, with pore size of ∼10 nm, have been developed by anodizing of magnetron sputtered Ti-25 at.% Si alloy at constant formation voltages in glycerol electrolyte containing dibasic potassium phosphate at 433 K. The films, of amorphous structure, contain titanium and silicon species, as units of TiO2 and SiO2, throughout the film thicknesses, with negligible amounts of phosphorus species. The silicon is enriched in the film relative to the composition of the alloy, the level of enrichment suggesting that anion migration is increased in comparison with amorphous film growth at ambient temperature. In contrast to the behaviour of the alloy, essentially barrier films were formed on commercially pure titanium in the glycerol electrolyte, when a main anodic reaction was generation of oxygen, which was probably promoted by the development of anatase.  相似文献

Hydrothermally synthesized barium titanate, BaTiO3 (commercially available), has internal pores in small particles. The three-dimensional structures of the pores were successfully observed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and reconstructed by a tomography system. The behavior of the internal pore is observed in situ with increasing temperature on the thermal stage of a TEM device. We succeed in recording the movement of pores and small grains. At >1128 K, some pores move out from the particle's surface during TEM observation. The temperature roughly agrees with the temperature at which the density of BaTiO3 powder sharply increases. During observation with increasing temperature, a thin layer appeared on the particle's surface at >73 K and then disappeared at 1193 K.  相似文献

The physical state of the blends of radiation-polymerized polyethylene with high-density polyethylene was studied. Only one peak was observed in DSC heating curves of the blends quenched from the melt regardless of the each polymer content. In addition, transparency of the high-density polyethylene was improved by melt blending with radiation-polymerized polyethylene. This is a characteristic of high-density polyethylene and radiation-polymerized polyethylene blends different from high-density and low-density polyethylene blends. A new peak and/or a new shoulder, however, appeared in DSC heating curves of the blends with heat treatment at 110°, 120°, and 125°C. These results suggest that the physical state of the blends quenched from the melt is one where the crystallization of the radiation-polymerized polyethylene is high hindered by the presence of high-density polyethylene. The radiation-polymerized polyethylene may remain mainly in a physical state similar to the melt. The haze value of the blends increased with heat treatment. The increase in the haze is caused by change in physical states, such as growth of spherulites and formation of microcrystals and microvoids, by the heat treatment.  相似文献

Chaos and fractal responses from an artificial neural cell stimulated by a periodic square wave are discussed. The dynamics are described by an autonomous equation, and the one-dimensional return map is derived explicitly. The relation between the exciting pulse-width tau(1), and the excited rate gamma(e) which is the number ratio of input pulses and output pulses investigated. Mathematical evidence for gamma(e) to be Cantor function for tau(1) is given. It corresponds to fractal responses. A condition for observable chaos generation in responses from the cell is proved. This condition is described only by parameters. Some of the theoretical results are verified by laboratory experiments.  相似文献

This paper applies the connection of a multivariate feedback controller with a state estimator to a 1-MW sodium-heated steam generator for LMFBR theoretically, to obtain a control strategy which emphasizes, from the view point of safety and availability of the FBR plant, that a superheat of 30°C should be required for the evaporator steam. This involves a trial to study the feasibility for the estimation of such an inaccessible variable as the dry-out location of tubes and utilize the state estimate to design a feedback controller of steam generators. The Kalman filter tested was found to generate reasonable estimates of the transient process variables of the steam generator and can provide a major advantage of regulating steam condition of the system even in the presence of contamination by a rather high level of measurement noise in the view point of economic uses of micro- and/or minicomputers.  相似文献
