Polypropylene (PP) was functionalized in the melt by grafting polar monomers using an internal mixer and a corotating twin‐screw extruder. 2,5‐Bis(tertbutylperoxy)‐2,5‐dimethylhexane (Luperox 101) and dicumyl peroxide (DP) were the used radical initiators. The polar monomers were itaconic acid (IAc), 2‐octen‐1‐ylsuccinic anhydride (OY), 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and 3‐allyloxy‐1,2‐propanediol (AP). Grafting was quantified by FTIR combined to Elemental Analysis. Grafting degree depends mainly on monomer and initiator natures and concentrations. Grafting degree maxima were 3.9, 2, 9.5, and 3.9 wt %, respectively, for IAc, OY, HEMA, and AP. Some properties of the modified PP were evaluated. Thermal analysis indicated that the polarity of PP increased by grafting reaction and size‐exclusion chromatography showed that the grafting was not accompanied by a significant Mw and viscosity decrease. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A PIM–SM-built multicast tree must be restructured when the underlying unicast routing tables change. We describe the PIM–SM recovery mechanisms and evaluate the recovery performance, showing its dependence on a range of network and session parameters. Our results show that a substantial packet loss can be caused by nonreductive, benign events in the network, such as an addition of a new link. We propose and evaluate an improvement to the standard PIM–SM recovery procedure aimed to reduce the packet loss caused by the benign events. Our evaluation shows that the data loss caused by these events can be significantly decreased regardless of the topology and session parameters.  相似文献

Material design using nonequilibrium systems provides straightforward access to complexity levels that are possible through dynamic processes. Pattern formation through nonequilibrium processes and reaction–diffusion can be used to achieve this goal. Liesegang patterns (LPs) are a kind of periodic precipitation patterns formed through reaction–diffusion. So far, it has been shown that the periodic band structure of LPs and the geometry of the pattern can be controlled by experimental conditions and external fields (e.g., electrical or magnetic). However, there are no examples of these systems being used to retrieve information about the changes in the environment as they form, and there are no studies making use of these patterns for complex material preparation. This work shows the formation of LPs by a diffusion–precipitation reaction in a stretchable hydrogel and the control of the obtained patterns by the unprecedented and uncommon method of mechanical input. Additionally, how to use this protocol and how deviations from “LP behavior” of the patterns can be used to “write and store” information about the time, duration, extent, and direction of gel deformation are presented. Finally, an example of using complex patterning to deposit polypyrrole by using precipitation patterns is shown as a template.  相似文献

Plasma protein C (PC) activity, prothrombin time (PT), partial thromboplastin time (PTT) and platelet count were studied in 23 children with nephrotic syndrome (NS) and AT III activity was determined in 15 children in the same group. All parameters were compared with those obtained in a group of 16 age matched healthy controls. Mean plasma AT III activity was significantly reduced in patients with NS (P < 0.001) correspondingly, plasma AT III levels were found to be directly correlated with serum albumin and inversely correlated with proteinuria. In contrast, mean plasma PC activity, as well as PT, PTT and platelet count were similar in the NS group when compared with the control group and in addition no remarkable difference was found in the mean plasma PC activity between the steroid sensitive and resistant NS groups. In conclusion, this study demonstrated acquired AT III deficiency and normal PC levels in childhood NS. These data suggest that although plasma AT III activity depends on the severity of NS, neither the severity of NS nor the underlying renal disease is an important factor determining the changes of PC activity in childhood NS.  相似文献

In this study, we present an approach for the synthesis of novel phosphorous‐ or phenyl‐ containing polymers, 2phenyl, 3phospho, and 2phenylco‐3phospho, derived from ring‐opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP), to reduce the flammability of polypropylene (PP). The composites were processed by melt‐blending ROMP polymers and octaphenyl–polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane with PP/intumescent flame retardant (IFR) compounds at different compositions. The composites were characterized by limiting oxygen index (LOI), UL‐94, and mechanical tests as well as thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The molecular structures of phosphorous‐ and phenyl‐containing polymers were proved by 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The online rheological measurements indicated that the addition of additives to the PP/IFR system increased the melt viscosity of the compounds regardless of the type. The DSC analysis showed that the addition of ROMP polymers to the PP/IFR system influenced the crystal perfection and degree of crystallization. TGA analysis of the composites revealed that the addition of ROMP polymers to PP/IFR compounds deteriorated the thermal stability as the amount of phosphorus increased in the matrix. Dynamic mechanical properties such as storage modulus (E′) and loss modulus (E″) of the composites were lowered by the addition of ROMP polymers. The LOI and UL‐94 rating of PP/IFR were enhanced by the addition of ROMP polymers. It was successfully demonstrated that the novel phosphorous‐ or phenyl‐containing polymers were highly potent additives in optimizing the flammability of PP composites. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The aim of this paper is to present mixed integer linear programming formulations for the production routing problem with backordering (PRP-B) and a new hybrid heuristic to solve the problem. The PRP-B is considered in the context of a supply chain consisting of a production facility with limited production and storage capacities and geographically dispersed points of sale with limited storage capacities. The PRP-B integrates multiple item lot sizing decisions and vehicle routing decisions to the points of sale, where backordering of end customer demands is allowed at a penalty. Two integrated mixed integer programming models are formulated and a solution procedure consisting of a relax-and-fix heuristic combined with a local search algorithm is proposed. The numerical results show that this hybrid heuristic outperforms a state-of-the-art MIP commercial solver, in terms of solution quality and CPU times.  相似文献

Accurate fall detection for the assistance of older people is crucial to reduce incidents of deaths or injuries due to falls. Meanwhile, vision‐based fall detection system has shown some significant results to detect falls. Still, numerous challenges need to be resolved. The impact of deep learning has changed the landscape of the vision‐based system, such as action recognition. The deep learning technique has not been successfully implemented in vision‐based fall detection system due to the requirement of a large amount of computation power and requirement of a large amount of sample training data. This research aims to propose a vision‐based fall detection system that improves the accuracy of fall detection in some complex environments such as the change of light condition in the room. Also, this research aims to increase the performance of the pre‐processing of video images. The proposed system consists of Enhanced Dynamic Optical Flow technique that encodes the temporal data of optical flow videos by the method of rank pooling, which thereby improves the processing time of fall detection and improves the classification accuracy in dynamic lighting condition. The experimental results showed that the classification accuracy of the fall detection improved by around 3% and the processing time by 40–50 ms. The proposed system concentrates on decreasing the processing time of fall detection and improving the classification accuracy. Meanwhile, it provides a mechanism for summarizing a video into a single image by using dynamic optical flow technique, which helps to increase the performance of image preprocessing steps.  相似文献
