An organic–inorganic proton conductive composite material consisting of a biopolymer was prepared by mixing the pectin, tetraethyl titanate, and imidazole. Although the pectin material without the composite dissolved in water, the pectin–inorganic composite material did not show water solubility. In addition, in the composite material, the pectin and imidazole formed an acid–base structure by an electrostatic interaction, and as a result, these composite materials showed a thermal stability at intermediate temperatures (100–200°C). Furthermore, these composite materials indicated the proton conductivity of 5.6 × 10?4 S cm?1 at 180°C under anhydrous conditions. The activation energy of the proton conduction under anhydrous conditions was 0.32–0.22 eV and these values were one order of magnitude higher than that of the typical humidified perfluorinated membrane, such as Nafion®. The organic–inorganic composite material consisting of a biocomponent may have the potential to be utilized as a novel proton conductor under anhydrous conditions. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Rates of formation of gases, oils, asphaltenes and preasphaltenes during non-solvent liquefaction of coal over molten tin catalyst have been measured. A probable reaction scheme and the rate constants for the pathways comprising the scheme have been presented. The results show that the catalyst greatly accelerates the conversion of preasphaltenes to asphaltenes. It also accelerates two other reactions, i.e., coal to preasphaltenes and coal to asphaltenes. Silicon nitride ceramics were prepared from a high‐purity silicon powder doped with 2 mol% Y2O3 and 5 mol% MgO as sintering additives via a route of sintering of reaction‐bonded silicon nitride (SRBSN). The materials sintered at 1900°C for 3, 6, 12, and 24 h had thermal conductivities of 109, 125, 146, and 154 W/m/K, and four‐point bending strengths of 786, 676, 608, and 505 MPa, respectively. The fracture toughness values, determined by the single‐edge‐precracked‐beam (SEPB) method, were 8.4, 8.6, 9.7, and 10.7 MPa m1/2 for the materials sintered for 3, 6, 12, and 24 h, respectively, which were similar to the results measured by the chevron‐notched‐beam (CNB) test method. The materials sintered for longer times (12 and 24 h) showed stronger R‐curve behaviors over longer range of crack extension, in comparison with the materials sintered for shorter times (3 and 6 h). 相似文献

Long crack R -curve of a porous Si3 N4 with aligned fibrous grains was investigated, using a chevron-notched beam technique. A crack was constrained to propagate normal to the grain alignment. The crack growth resistance of aligned porous Si3 N4 was much larger compared with that of dense Si3 N4 ceramics. Microstructure observations showed that pullouts of fibrous grains in aligned porous Si3 N4 markedly increased during crack propagation relative to those of dense Si3 N4 , due to the existence of pores. The efficient grain pullouts in porous Si3 N4 increased the bridging stress at the crack wake. 相似文献

The block copolymers consisting of 2,7-dimethoxycarbazole- and oxadiazole-containing segments as hole and electron transporting units, respectively, were synthesized by NMRP manner. OLED devices were fabricated using block copolymer, random copolymer, and polymer blend for matrix of the emitting layer with Ir(ppy)3 as a phosphorescent dopant in order to investigate morphological effect on the performance. From the finding that the block copolymer system overwhelmed the others in EQE, we assumed that a morphology with dimethoxycarbazole units assembled to the surface of PEDOT:PSS played a considerable role for effective recombination of charges as well as sufficient charge injection into the emitting layer. 相似文献

Control of island formation on silicon surfaces using ultra-high-vacuum scanning electron microscopy
In situ scanning electron microscopy has been used to control Au island formation on a patterned Si(111) surface with a periodic array of atomic-step bunches and holes. Liquid phase Au-Si islands were observed to redistribute on the patterned surface by annealing. The islands accumulate at a particular position of the step bunch in each pattern unit. This phenomenon is interpreted in terms of the energetic stability of a droplet on a patterned surface. 相似文献

1. In smooth muscles isolated from the guinea-pig trachea, the effects of dihydropyridines, nifedipine and nicardipine on contractions produced by carbachol (Cch) were studied in normal (6 mM) and excess K+ concentration (60 mM). The tonic contraction produced by 1 microM Cch was highly dependent on the external Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]0) and was not significantly affected by cyclopiazonic acid or thapsigargin, Ca2+ uptake inhibitor. 2. [Ca2+]0-tension curves were steeper in the presence of 1 microM Cch (the Hill coefficient: 2.5) than in the presence of 60 mM K+ (Hill coefficient: 1.6) and their ED50 of Ca2+ was 0.16 and 0.39 mM, respectively. An increase of K+ to 60 mM in the presence of 1 microM Cch shifted the curve to the left roughly in parallel (ED50: 0.12 mM, Hill coefficient: 2.3). 3. [Ca2+]0-tension curve in the presence of 1 microM Cch was shifted to the right in parallel by nifedipine (1 microM). This was markedly potentiated by 60 mM K+ (the increase in ED50 of Ca2+ being 3 times at 6 mM and 15 times at 60 mM K+). No tension was evoked by Ca2+ up to 2.5 mM in 60 mM K+ solution containing 1 microM nifedipine but no Cch. 4. In the absence of nifedipine, Cch-induced contractions were potentiated by 60 mM K+, whereas in the presence of nifedipine, Cch-induced contractions were markedly inhibited by 60 mM K+. These mechanical changes were accompanied by an increase or a decrease in intracellular Ca2+. 5. A hypothesis is presented to explain the results which suggests that the kinetics of Ca2+ influx though a single type of pathway is modulated by membrane potential and receptor activation and that the susceptibility of the pathway to dihydropyridine blockade is closely related to the Ca2+ influx kinetics with receptor activation reducing and membrane depolarization increasing the susceptibility. 相似文献

One difficulty in analyzing the state of filament in the dry spinning process is that in the boundary conditions required to solve the equations of mass, momentum and energy which are derived on the consideration of balance with respect to infinitesimally small element are not given a priori. The equations which include these boundary conditions in themselves are derived by considering mass, momentum, and energy balances with respect to the entire cross section of filament. These additional macroscopic equations are simplified to a great extent by assuming the flat velocity profile through the cross section of filament. Besides, in the steady state, these macroscopic equations are modified to give the equations of average solvent content, spinning tension, cross-sectional area, and average temperature. When the spinning conditions are given and the physical constants are measured for a given polymer and solvent system, it becomes possible to calculate the state of filament by solving these microscopic and macroscopic equations simultaneously without resorting to actual spinning. 相似文献
