No Heading The transverse acoustic response in the B phase of superfluid 3He has been measured using an AC-cut quartz transducer at a pressure of 17.0 bar. The measurements were performed by a CW bridge method at a frequency of 9.3 MHz utilizing a quadrature hybrid and a high-frequency lock-in amplifier. By sweeping frequency around the resonance frequency of the transducer, in-phase and quadrature responses of the resonance were obtained from the output of the lock-in amplifier. We successfully separated the quality factor and the resonance frequency. Quality factor of the transducer had a small dip just below Tc and increased as n by cooling, while its resonance frequency decreased sharply at Tc and gradually recovered to the normal state value in the low temperature limit.PACS numbers: 67.57.Jj, 43.58.+z. 相似文献

The topographic and electronic properties of the surfaces of (001) and (110) oriented YBa2Cu3Oy, epitaxial films have been probed by atomic resolution STM/STS at 4.2 K. The STM image on the (001) surface clearly revealed the atomic corrugation of the tetragonal lattice with an average spacing of 0.4 nm. while on the (110) surface the orthorhombic atomic lattice, corresponding to the Cu atoms of both CuO2 and CuO chain planes, was observed. The STS result on the (001) surface indicated the semiconducting nature of the terminating layer. As the tunneling tip came closer to the surface, however, the shape of the tunneling spectrum became more metallic and showed a superconducting energy gap, which seems to arise from the underlying superconducting layer. On the other hand, the tunneling spectra on the (110) surface indicated superconducting gap structures, independent of the tip-sample distance. 相似文献

Although the advantages of sp3-rich, sterically complicated molecules in drug development have been pointed out, modern screening libraries are filled with planar, sp2-rich components. Compounds that are sp3-rich are difficult to synthesize, and thus we aimed to invent an efficient method to construct sp3-rich libraries. By modifying sp3-rich 7-azanorbornane scaffolds through click chemistry, we efficiently prepared a small set of compounds. These compounds were not only sp3-rich, but also had sufficient “lead-like” properties in view of molecular weights and hydrophobicity. Screening assays of this library provided weak κ opioid receptor agonists and growth hormone secretagogue receptor agonists with high hit rates. These results indicate that the 7-azanorbornane scaffold may be a “privileged structure” for lead identification in drug discovery. 相似文献

Boolean network tomography is a promising technique to achieve fault management in networks where the existing IP-based troubleshooting mechanism cannot be used. Aiming to apply Boolean network tomography to fault management, a variety of heuristic methods for configuring monitoring trails and paths have been proposed to localize link failures in managed networks. However, these existing heuristic methods must be executed in a centralized server that administers the entire managed network and the methods present scalability problems when applied to large-scale managed networks. Thus, this paper proposes a novel scheme for achieving lightweight Boolean network tomography in a decentralized manner. The proposed scheme partitions the managed network into multiple management areas and localizes link failures independently within each area. This paper also proposes a heuristic network partition method with the aim of efficiently implementing the proposed scheme. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified using typical fault management scenarios where all single-link failures and all dual-link failures are localized by the least number of monitoring paths on predetermined routes. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can greatly reduce the computational load on the fault management server when Boolean network tomography is deployed in large-scale managed networks. Furthermore, the degradation of optimality in the proposed scheme can be mitigated in comparison with a centralized scheme that utilizes heuristics to reduce the computational load on the centralized server. 相似文献

The use of graphene layer encapsulated catalytic metal particles for the growth of narrower multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) has been studied using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition and conventional thermal CVD. Ni–C or Fe–C composite nanoclusters were fabricated using the dc arc discharge technique with metal–graphite composite electrodes carrying a current of 100–200 A in a stainless-steel chamber filled with He and CH4 mixture gas at 27 kPa. Nano-sized grains with diameters less than 10 nm were fabricated and deposited on a Si substrate, and were used as a catalyst for MWCNT growth. Structural analyses of the composite nanoclusters and MWCNTs were carried out using transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the diameters of the MWCNTs were reduced from 50–100 nm for a conventional Ni thin film-evaporated Si substrate to a minimum of roughly 2–4 nm in the present study. 相似文献

Recently, we reported on the retention of fine-grained micro-structure in Al2 O3 /3 vol% 3Y-ZrO2 composites using the pulse electric current sintering (PECS) technique. It was demonstrated that a high heating rate is beneficial for the retention of fine grains and homogeneous microstructure. As there are few reports on microstructural inhomogeneity and excessive grain growth in compacts densified by the PECS technique, we carried out a series of experiments on monolithic alumina by varying the sintering parameters and discussed the characteristic results. All specimens that were densified under selective sintering conditions attained high density (∼99% of the theoretical density) at 1250°3C in > 5 min. The average fracture strength of monolithic alumina was observed to be 741 ± 25 MPa and the fracture toughness was 2.2 MPa.m <1/2 , and these were reasoned out to small grains. However, compacts sintered under very low compaction pressure attained ∼92%-93% of the theoretical density, and these specimens had undesirable microstructural inhomogeneity owing to differential sintering. The R -curve behavior was characterized by the Vickers indentation flaw technique, for highly anisotropic silicon nitride, a silicon nitride whose fibrous grains are highly aligned. The measured crack lengths ranged from 30 to 500 μm. The fracture resistance of a conventional self-reinforced silicon nitride was determined for comparison using the same procedures. While in the self-reinforced material several hundred micrometers of crack extension were required to obtain a high fracture toughness, the highly anisotropic material exhibited a high toughness from the beginning of the measured crack length range with little increase in the following range. It is suggested that the toughness of the highly anisotropic material steeply rises in a very short crack extension, which is advantageous in avoiding catastropic fractures. 相似文献
