A combination technique of Nd:YAG laser (wavelength: 1064 nm) irradiations and chemical etchings was applied to fabricate microsize U-shaped grooves on the surface of CuO-doped BaO–TiO2–GeO2 glass, and chemical etching behaviors were examined by using a confocal scanning laser microscope. Continuous-wave Nd:YAG lasers with a power of 0.7–0.8 W were irradiated onto the glass surface and scanned at a speed of 10 μm/s, inducing structural modified lines with refractive index changes. The chemical etching rates for the refractive index changed lines in a nitric acid solution (1 N HNO3) were larger than those for the base glass (nonirradiated part). The etching profile was changed gradually from W-shaped to U-shaped grooves with increasing etching time. The sharp bending lines with an angle of 150° and the cross-linked lines were also smoothly etched. The U-shaped grooves with a surface covered by nonlinear optical Ba2TiGe2O8 crystals were formed by the crystallization of etched samples. This study proposes that the patterning of microchannels with optical functional surfaces is possible on the glass surface using the present technique.  相似文献

Tubular SiO2-glass membranes with thin, dense SiO2layers on porous glass supports were prepared via sputtering, using the novel sputtering apparatus for tubular supports. This apparatus had a holder for tubular supports and a rotation mechanism. The sputtering conditions of the membranes were investigated. A support temperature of 573 K was determined to be the best among the temperatures that were selected in our experiments. Scanning electron microscopy observations showed that the membrane surfaces became smooth as the sputtering time increased and had no cracks. The permeances of helium, nitrogen, and CO2were measured at a temperature of 373 K. The permeances for the membranes were on the order of 10-9 molm-2s-1Pa-1 (10-5 cm3(STP)cm-2s-1(cm Hg)-1). The ratio of the permeances of helium to nitrogen was similar to the theoretical Knudsen value. These values were much lower than the values that were expected from the dense SiO2glass. This phenomenon was considered to be attributable to the presence of microcracks during the sputtering deposition.  相似文献

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) under pure argon shielding gas atmosphere (pure argon-GMAW) is suitable to obtain a high-strength and high toughness welded joint. However, it is difficult that pure argon-GMA welding is applied practically welding structure because of arc instability. In order to perform stable pure argon-GMA welding, duplex current feeding GMAW (DCF-GMAW) has been developed. The DCF-GMAW consists of primary GMA welding current and secondary welding current by constant-current power resource. DFC-GMAW can feed larger current near wire tip. This effect makes that weld penetration depth is deeper, weld bead shape is improved using DCF-GMAW.  相似文献

Micrometer- to nanometer-scale structures of the cut surfaces of single- and polycrystalline diamonds by a pulsed ultraviolet laser have been thoroughly investigated by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Within the laser-cut grooves, the processed diamond surfaces are extensively covered with laser-modified debris which consists of complex layered units of graphite with various crystallinities. The units consist of 1) highly oriented graphite, 2) corrugated graphite, and 3) nanocrystalline graphite, which are sequentially located from the surface of the underlying diamond substrate to the center of the grooves. Detailed textural examinations revealed that the highly oriented graphite unit is a product of the initial graphitization of diamond by a solid-state diffusion process, whereas the latter two units are deposition products from the liquid and/or vapor phases of carbon in the later stage. The present study demonstrates that the laser-cutting of diamonds proceeds in a two-step process: 1) extensive graphitization of laser-scanning path and 2) subsequent sublimation of the pre-formed graphite. These processes are basically identical among the three different types of diamonds (single crystal type Ib, single crystal type IIa and nano-polycrystalline aggregate) tested in this study.  相似文献

The catalytic activity and stability of the PdCl2/SnCl2 mixed catalyst for electroless copper plating were investigated. Such performances of the mixed catalyst were dependent on the preparation conditions of the stock solution. The mixed catalyst adsorbed on the substrate initially seems to be a water soluble complex or colloidal state. Imperata cylindrica is known to produce a pair of triterpenes, isoarborinol and fernenol, that exhibit identical planar structures but possess opposite stereochemistry at six of the nine chiral centers. These differences arise from a boat or a chair cyclization of the B-ring of the substrate. Herein, we report the characterization of three OSC genes from I. cylindrica. IcOSC1 and IcOSC5 were identified as isoarborinol and fernenol synthases, respectively, while IcOSC3 was characterized as a multifunctional enzyme that produces glutinol and friedelin as its major products. Mutational studies of isoarborinol and fernenol synthases revealed that the residues surrounding the DCTAE motif partially affected the conformation of the B-ring during cyclization. Additionally, the IcOSC1-W255H mutant produced the rare triterpene boehmerol. The introduced histidine residue presumably abstracted a proton from the intermediary carbocation at C18 during the 1,2-rearrangement. Expression analysis indicated that all OSC genes were highly expressed in stems.  相似文献

New biomarkers are needed to further stratify the risk of malignancy in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). Although microRNAs (miRNAs) are expected to be stable biomarkers, they can vary owing to a lack of definite internal controls. To identify universal biomarkers for invasive IPMN, we performed miRNA sequencing using tumor-normal paired samples. A total of 19 resected tissues and 13 pancreatic juice samples from 32 IPMN patients were analyzed for miRNA expression by next-generation sequencing with a two-step normalization of miRNA sequence data. The miRNAs involved in IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma were identified from this tissue analysis and further verified with the pancreatic juice samples. From the tumor-normal paired tissue analysis of the expression levels of 2792 miRNAs, 20 upregulated and 17 downregulated miRNAs were identified. In IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma (INV), miR-10a-5p and miR-221-3p were upregulated and miR-148a-3p was downregulated when compared with noninvasive IPMN. When these findings were further validated with pancreatic juice samples, miR-10a-5p was found to be elevated in INV (p = 0.002). Therefore, three differentially expressed miRNAs were identified in tissues with INV, and the expression of miR-10a-5p was also elevated in pancreatic juice samples with INV. MiR-10a-5p is a promising additional biomarker for invasive IPMN.  相似文献

The Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCF)-based multi-layered oxygen separation membrane was fabricated by the sequential electrophoretic deposition (EPD) process. A thin porous/dense bi-layer of BSCF was formed on a thick porous support of BSCF. The porous support prepared by a sacrificial template method using BSCF powder mixed with wheat starch (30 wt%) as a pore-forming agent, followed by uniaxial pressing and low-temperature sintering, was directly used as an EPD electrode. A thin BSCF layer was first formed on the porous support, and then a thin BSCF + PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) layer was sequentially formed on the thin BSCF layer using a bimodal suspension of BSCF and PMMA. A 30-μm thin porous/dense bi-layer of BSCF of which the total thickness was obtained by optimizing the processes of EPD and subsequent co-sintering. The oxygen separation performance of 3.7 ml (STP) min?1 cm?2 at 860 °C was achieved for the BSCF-based multi-layered oxygen separation membrane.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Tea (Camellia sinensis L.) is consumed all over the world and in especially large quantities in Japan and China, where it has been used not only as a daily beverage but also for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. Tea has been found to exhibit various bioregulatory activities, including antiallergic, anticarcinogenic, antimetastatic, antioxidative, antihypertensive, antihypercholesterolemic, anti‐dental caries and antibacterial effects, and to influence intestinal flora. RESULTS: Cha Chuukanbohon Nou 6 is a tea cultivar improved by the National Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science (NIVTS) in Japan. On comparing chemical constituents of 11 varieties of tea leaves by high‐performance liquid chromatography, we found two new major compounds in Cha Chuukanbohon Nou 6. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy revealed these compounds to be theogallin and 1,2‐di‐O‐galloyl‐4,6‐O‐(S)‐hexahydroxydiphenoyl‐β‐D ‐glucopyranose. The two were similar in chemical structure to strictinin, an inhibitor of immunoglobulin (Ig) production. Thus their effects on the production of Igs by peripheral blood lymphocytes were tested. Both compounds, like strictinin, inhibited IgE production. CONCLUSION: The results suggest Cha Chuukanbohon Nou 6 to be the basis of an antiallergic beverage. To achieve sustainability, resource consumption and waste generation must be drastically decreased. For societal acceptance, preservation of both quality of life and corporate profits are essential. One promising approach is to shift the source of value from the amount of product sold to the quality of services the product provides. This paper describes the need for redesigning recycling systems from a manufacturing perspective and then discusses the possibility of this "servicification" of products, describing our experience with prototype development. We discuss development of product prototypes and their business, using consumer facsimile machines as an example of "service-oriented products". Traditional thought presumes that only products comprising new materials and components are valuable. Consideration of a service-oriented product can serve as a stimulus to revise this mode of thought and to control delivery and quality of disposed products. This paper also provides a life cycle simulation of the developed service-oriented business. Simulation results indicate that service-oriented business can potentially reduce environmental impact while extending business opportunities from the viewpoint of whole product life cycles.  相似文献
